A/N: I know it was a long wait, but please don't just go to my other stories, telling me they are not important because I haven't updated this one. It's rude. I know I haven't updated in awhile but only leave reviews on this story FOR THIS STORY.

Catwoman's Kryptonite should be updated in a few weeks.

Enjoy the chapter!

A million thoughts, a million questions run through Lois Lane's mind as she stares into the eyes if a wintery bliss.

"Hello," is all the strawberry blonde can manage. Her voice comes out as a tiny whisper, making it obvious how frightened she is.

Faora stares back passively, her expression unreadable. She knows all too well that the companion of Kal-El would not reveal her true identity, not if she wished to live another minute. She knows she has nothing to worry about…yet.

Lois swallows, her throat suddenly feeling dry.

"Um, I have to go. Clark must be wondering where I am." Faora raises her fine eyebrows, watching the young woman smile nervously before literally scurrying off.

"She's drunk already," Amber muses and shakes her head. "That's Lois for you." Faora nods her head in fake agreement; grateful the redhead hasn't suspected anything.

"I think I shall go get a drink myself," Faora decides. Amber's grey eyes light up.

"Bring me one too please. Extra ice." Faora cringes, feeling odd having a human give her demands. She nods curtly before sauntering off in Lois' direction.

She knows Kal-El would do anything to protect his precious human. She rolls her eyes, wondering how a Kryptonian could be so fond of a mere human. Faora could offer him so much more.

She stops herself, almost at the entryway to the kitchen.

Faora does not care about Kal-El, certainly not in that way. She sighs, blaming the Earth's atmosphere to which she hasn't fully been adapted to yet.

"I'm telling you, I saw her." Her eyes lift up and Faora sees her.

She looks anxious, her sapphire eyes are wide and her stance is timid. Faora takes a step back, hoping to conceal herself.

"I believe you," comes a smooth, velvety voice. She doesn't know why, but she can feel her heart pounding in her chest upon hearing his voice.

Lois calms down, only for a second. Her eyes look warm, as if the person she's talking to is her knight in shining armor.

"She won't hurt you. At least not in a public place." Faora snorts and immediately regrets it.

His eyes dart up. Faora glares, her expression hardening.

"Clark?" Lois asks, worry in her voice. "What's wrong-" She turns and takes a deep inhale upon seeing Faora again.

She watches the woman rush behind her Kryptonian counterpoint her who is still staring at Faora.

The air feels static, like there's too much tension in the room.

His hands are rolled up into fists, his eyes dark with a quiet, seething anger.

Faora remains perfectly still, although she does maintain an offensive stance.

What are you to do now Kal-El?
