It was nervous.

She would think the decision to see the doctor over one throw up known to Ghostly was a choice to be safe, the way she kept seeing how other couples moved in and out.

After Ghostly had left for work, she took up her keys and locked the house to go her own work but shortly after starting to help her sister and mother, and she threw up once more in the back. Her mother had quickly been at her side and told her to head home or see a doctor if this was happening more than once, and Violet swore she had seen a twinkle in her mother's eyes but she refused to believe that. They weren't ready for kids, and they both had agreed they would say when they were ready and would wait for the other to say they were as well. They didn't say a word about kids yet, so that meant, none of them were ready. Her mother had gotten her something to drink, while Poppy handled the customers the best she could, and Violet had stayed in the back for a good while until her stomach cooled down.

Now she was sitting the waiting room, nervously biting her lip as she held her stomach before her name was called and the next she knew, she was sitting the office that belonged to her doctor. The doctor walked in, her hair tied back, and her eyes on the clipboard. It started off okay, a few questions about her day, and then they got back down to business. Violet had explained how long she had been throwing up, and how it was always at a certain time. The doctor nodded before moving to take a few tests to see what was going on.

The wait felt like a few good hours.

"Well, Mrs. Alder," The doctor said, coming back into the room. Her eyes fully on the clipboard, and then her eyes gazed upwards. "It seems you shouldn't be worried!" A huge beam on her face.

Violet rose an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Here," The doctor handed her a slip of paper with information on it. "Take a look on it before you go home, and allow your husband to take a look at it. Oh! And I wish for you take these, and come back in...a few weeks."

"Wait...what?" Violet asked after she read the paper.

"Trust me darling, those vitiams will help."

"If you're sure," Violet nodded slowly getting out of the office and making her next appointment, and she never gazed at the paper until she was in her car and her nerves got the best of her so she didn't open it.

She'd wait until she got home.

That way her stomach would have time to settle down before she read the paper her doctor had given her. But apart of her wanted to badly know, that was mostly her brain. It was kicking her so hard to the point where she pulled over to the side of the road and took out the paper to look at it.

What was inside would lift his worry for sure.

By the time she got home, Ghostly was already back from his work. He was sitting on the couch, watching TV, a can of rootbeer in his hand and she took a few breaths before walking over and giving him a kiss on the cheek. He smiled widely before placing the can down and kissing her back. Silently asking if she was okay with the way his eyes were shining.

It was sweet how he was worried for her. It really was and Violet nodded before remembering the paper in her pocket in her jacket, she bite her lip before moving to take off her coat and took out the paper. Two ways to do this. Straight up tell him with the paper or get him something.

"Hey, I'll be right back." Violet said, getting her keys and purse. "I'm just going to get something."

"Hmm? Okay," Ghostly nodded.

She went off to the store and saw what she wanted and bought it. The clerk smiled widely and wrapped it up for her out of kindness and told her he wished her well, and in a few moments she was back at her house.

Placing down the bag, she got the paper out and gulped heavily before keeping it in her hand before moving with the bag in her hand towards Ghostly. She placed it down onto the table and watched as Ghostly noticed the bag after a moment of hearing the bag being placed down.

He rose an eyebrow. "What's that?" he asked.

"Something," Violet replied, sitting down. "But...it is for you."

"Me…?" Ghostly pointed to himself before taking the bag and moved to open it before stopping to look at his wife. "Uh...it's not anything important today, right? I'm not forgetting any special date, yeah?"

Violet shook her head with a laugh. "No. You're not missing any important date. You're good."

Ghostly nodded, thankful he wasn't missing anything important and went back to opening the bag. At first he notice paper on top of whatever was in there, so he removed it and focused on finding what was in the bag.

What he pulls out is a onesie, a creamed color onesie, with the words in bold, "daddy's racer" and Ghostly nearly drops the small outfit in realization and before he could speak, Violet gives him the paper. He reads it and his mouth hangs open. It's saying it's all real.

"You're not joking…" Ghostly mumbled, looking at his wife. "You're really...pregnant? You're not joking around. I hope to god you're not playing a prank one me because that'll be cruel. You know that, yeah?"

"I know," Violet smiled. "I'm not joking. I've been throwing up all week, not just this morning. I didn't tell you because you've been working nights. I'm really pregnant, Ghostly. We're going to be parents."

"Christ…" Ghostly said, closing his eyes as he felt tears coming up at the corner of his eyes. He didn't think he would be feeling that type of fatherly feels yet. He never thought he would be able to. "I'm really happy!"

"Thank god," choked Violet, going teary eyed.

Now to tell their friends and family about the news.

**Unconditional**

Ava nearly dropped her keys when she heard her husband calling her name with a wide smile on his face. Normally, Rajesh would just call out her name and hold a normal expression fit for him, but he never smiled unless he was speaking about work and other things.

Rajesh took a moment to catch his breath before kissing her on the cheek before telling her their son was coming over to tell them something. Apparently, he had something for them as well. Ava thought it was a bit odd considering how Ghostly almost never showed up at their house, but this had to be important if he was coming over to see them.

When their son did come over, he was alone, and said Violet was at her mother's house to speak with her and Poppy about the same thing. Rajesh nodded before moving to get them something to drink while Ava sat down in the living room with her son, noticing the bags by his side. When Rajesh sat down next to her and gave them their drinks, he took one sip before noting the bags as well.

"So, what's with the bags?" Rajesh asked, raising an eyebrow. "Must be important if you're here today instead of with your wife."

"She's at her childhood house," Ghostly replied, taking a sip of his drink. "The bags are part of what I have to tell you and will probably do a better job at telling you than I ever could do anyways."

"That so?" asked Rajesh, a slight smirk on his face. "Well, try with words first."

Ava smacked him on his head. "Rajesh!" she barked. "Knock it off." She, then, turned to Ghostly and smiled sweetly at him. It made her seem like two different people when it came to her husband and son. "Don't listen to your father."

"I try not to, mom." laughed Ghostly. "Here." he passed the bags over to them, a slight sparkle in his eyes. "Open them up."

The two parents shared a look before shrugging and opened the bags up, Ava dropped her bag when she realized what was sitting in there while Rajesh had to look closer at the gift before knowing what it was.

"You're...serious?" Rajesh slowly asked.

"Grandparents…?" Ava added on.

Ghostly beamed before nodding. "Yeah!" he said. "She found out a while ago!"

"Damn it," Rajesh chuckled, gazing down at the present and smiling widely at it. It was so simple, but could clearly give the impression about new addition to the family coming in nine months. "I never thought I'd see the day."

"You said the same thing when I told you about my pregnancy with Ghostly," Ava laughed at her husband before hugging her son. "You said she's at her mother's house telling the same thing to her mother and sister?"

"Yeah," Ghostly nodded. "We're doing family separately before telling our friends together."

**Unconditional**

"A grandchild!?" Mrs. Nightshade jumped and Violet winced as she heard her mother shout that out. Poppy was out at her friend's house at the time, and it was just her mother she had to tell but… now, she thought it was killing her eardrums.

"Yes," Violet nodded, rubbing her ear.

Her mother took a moment before hugging her, and Violet almost winced again. Not really used to the affection coming from her mother, but she knew it was expected out of her.

She silently wondered how things were going with Ghostly and his parents.
