This chapter was years in the making and I have to apologize to everyone who is a fan to this story that it took so long to update this story. I mainly blame the fact that so many different story ideas kept popping up in my head and I have also been busy with college that I didn't have the time. Now that I learned how to organize my time properly, it makes things easier on me.

Now that I'm done giving everyone my excuses, it's time to move onto the story.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters though I wish I did.

Chapter 4

At the same time, a few thousand miles away in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, a S.H.I.E.L.D. quinjet just landed on a large aircraft carrier. Agent Natasha Romanoff watched as the rear hatch opened and two people step out of the jet. The red head began to walk over, and her handler, Phil Coulson, immediately noticed her approach.

"Captain Steve Rogers, Agent Romanoff," Coulson said as he introduced the assassin.

"Ma'am," Rogers greeted.

"Hi," she said curtly before turning to Coulson. "You're needed on the bridge, they're beginning the face trace." The older agent nodded and bid the two a farewell. Natasha crossed her arms as the two walked across the flight deck. "There was quite a buzz around here, finding you in the ice. I thought Coulson was gonna swoon." She looked over to the captain and raised an eyebrow. "Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?"

"Trading cards?" Natasha smirked slightly at the mortified look on Roger's face. From her position, she spotted a flash of flame in the distance but didn't react to it. She knew what, or rather in this case who it was. "They're vintage. He's very proud."

A loud bird song rang out over the aircraft carrier, causing many workmen on the flight deck to stop and look up. A large black bird with long, trailing tail feathers was seen flying high in the sky and circling around the carrier. The bird began to descend to the flight deck and appeared to be showing off to the workmen. Natasha rolled her eyes and offered her left arm as a perch. The bird took one last circle around the flight deck before soaring down to the red headed agent.

"What's this critter doing all the way out here," Steve asked as he raised a hand to pet the avian. He quickly pulled his hand back when the bird snapped at him. "Friend of yours?"

Natasha and the bird shared a quick look. "More of an acquaintance." The bird let out a soft croon, which made the red head roll her eyes. Rogers eyed the two suspiciously before shaking his head. He took made a quick glance over of the flight deck before spotting a man that stood out quite plainly compared to the crew.

"Doctor Banner." The man, Banner, turned at the call of his name. It was obvious to the captain that the doctor was not comfortable being on the ship. He walked over to shake the hand that was offered to him.

"Yeah, hi, they told me you were coming."

"Word is you can find the cube."

Banner started to wring his hands nervously. "Is that the only word on me?"

"Only word I care about."

Banner nodded. "This must be strange for you… all this."

Rogers took a moment to glance around at the chaos that was the flight deck. "Actually, this is all kind of familiar." He turned back to Romanoff who remained silent throughout the conversation. "Are we waiting for anyone else?"

Natasha smirked as if she knew something they didn't, which was technically true. "We are waiting for one more person, but he is already here." She turned her attention to the bird that had moved onto her shoulder and sent a pointed look in its direction. "Are you going to introduce yourself?"

Both the Captain and Doctor looked at Romanoff strangely before it turned to looks of shock as the bird jumped from her shoulder and morphed into a man. The man landed on the flight deck without a sound and turned astonishingly bright green eyes that were hidden behind a pair of round glasses onto the men. The unknown man stood at just a few inches below Roger's height, had a head of short messy dark hair, a faint lightening bolt shaped scar on his forehead, and was dressed in darkly colored flowing robes.

"Hello," the man spoke with a heavy British accent and smirked at the two. "My name is Harrison Potter, but everyone calls me Harry. It is a pleasure to meet you both." Harry held his hand out for the other men to shake.

Banner quickly shook off his surprise as he gripped the offered hand. "It's nice to meet you Harry. My name is Doctor Bruce Banner, but you can call me Bruce."

Harry grinned as he shook the hand before raising an eyebrow at the fidgeting man. "Don't worry Doctor Banner, I'm not interested in the 'other guy.' All I care about is finding the creep who took the Tesseract and getting back to my family." Out of the corner of his eye, Harry caught the inquisitive look on Roger's face. "Something wrong, Captain?"

Rogers shook his head as he crossed his arms over his chest. "No, I just thought I wouldn't meet another wizard in my lifetime."

Harry looked at Rogers in surprise, but before he could speak, Natasha interrupted the conversation. "Gentlemen, you might want to step inside in a minute. It's going to get a little hard to breathe." As soon as she finished her statement, alarms started blazing over the flight deck.

Looking at all the crewmen scrabbling over the flight deck, Rogers had an incredulous look on his face. "Is this a submarine?"

Banner smirked as the three men paced to the edge of the ship. "Really? They want me in a submerged pressurized metal container?"

Harry snorted as the men stopped. "I've met my fair share of crazy people, but I don't think Fury would be that stupid." His eyes widened in surprise as powerful rotors connected to the aircraft carrier slowly rose from the sea level. As the rotors spun, the Helicarrier began to rise gracefully into the air as if an enchantment has been placed on the ship.

Still smirking, Banner blurted out, "No, no, this is much worse." This caused Harry to let out a laugh.

After a moment Natasha led the men into the Helicarrier, past halls full of busy men and women, and towards the door that led to the bridge of the Helicarrier. There they saw various SHEILD agents rushing all over the bridge and calling out the progress of the ship. Standing in the middle of all the chaos was Fury himself with his hands placed on two glass-like computers.

Down in the computer was a stern looking woman dressed in a tight SHIELD uniform with her brown hair done up in a bun. "All engines operating. SHIELD emergency protocol 1196 in effect." She turned attention to Fury with a nod. "We're at level sir."

"Good, lets vanish." As soon as he said the word, he turned away from his computers and approached the trio. "Gentlemen," Fury greeted as Rogers pulled out a wad of cash from his pocket. Harry raised an eyebrow as Rogers handed a ten-dollar bill to Fury, whom looked smug for a moment. As Steve wandered over to the command deck, Fury approached Banner.

"Doctor thank you for coming." Fury held a hand out for Banner to shake, which he did hesitantly.

"Glad you asked nicely." He stuffed his hands into his pockets. "So, how long am I here?"

"As soon as you find the Tesseract you're in the clear."

"And, where are you at that?" Fury nodded his head over to Coulson who crossed his arms over his chest.

"We're sweeping every wirelessly accessible camera on the planet. Cell phones, laptops. If it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for us." Harry glanced over to the Captain and almost laughed at the look on his face.

"It's still not going to find them in time," Natasha said from her crouched position next to one of the computer terminals. On the screen was a man in his early 40s that Harry recognized as her partner. "Especially if they decided to hide in your world." She looked up to Harry who nodded his head in agreement.

"She's right, I think, you need to narrow your fields. How many spectrometers do you have access to?"

"How many are there?" Fury asked with a raised eyebrow. Harry shook his head as he once again underestimated how powerful S.H.E.I.L.D. truly was for a secret organization. Of course he wouldn't admit this out loud.

"Call every lab you know, tell them to put the spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them to track gamma radiation. I'll rough out a tracking algorithm based on cluster recognition," Bruce commanded as he took off his jacket. "At least we can rule out a few places. Do you have somewhere for me to work?"

Fury nodded and turned to Natasha. "Agent Romanoff, can you show Dr. Banner to his lab?"

The red-head nodded. "You are gonna love it doc, we got all the toys."

As the two left the bridge, Harry was still standing by the conference table with a thoughtful look on his face. Over the years and during his time as an Auror, he learned all sorts of magical spells and potions that have helped him during his career. There had to be something that could help him in discovering the location of the Tesseract. He shuddered a bit as he realized how much research he has done since his Hogwarts days, and could imagine the scalding glare a younger Hermione would most likely send him for not applying himself like he is now.

He snapped his fingers as he thought of the perfect potion that could help him now. He quickly left the bridge to catch up with the two to the laboratory.
