Chapter 3
Tokyo, Japan 12:45 pm
The Helicopter had just returned from the island with their new egg. The egg was then moved from the Helicopter to the research area of the building that was the Science Institute in Tokyo. There the egg was encased in a giant class case and was attached to monitors and computers to keep up with the egg. Miki was heading the whole thing. She was in the lab studying the data they have collocated about the egg that they found. She was reading the reports when someone came in.
"Ms. Saegusa you have a call from the Shatterdom." Said the Person
"Ok thank you. I'll take it then. You can get back to the egg now, Ms. Nagamine." Said Miki as she took the phone
"Hello this Miki." She said as she listened to the other end of the call.
"This is Marshall Pentecost," Said the man on the other end; "I want to know why you disobeyed orders and took the egg back to Japan. You were given instructions to bring that egg back to the Shatterdom."
"Listen here Pentecost, I don't work for you. You best remember that, I only joined because I wanted to try and keep track of Godzilla. Godzilla is the not the enemy Marshall you should be keeping your eyes on the Kaiju from the Breach and not Godzilla. We both see them as the enemy." Miki replied to Marshall
After all that she then slammed the phone down and went back to work. She looked over the data again and found something off about them. She went to the computer and looked at the data that was stored on it. It was reading that there were brain waves.
"But can't be this egg is over 65 million years old. So how can there be any." Thought Miki
Then she remember that while on the island someone on the team said that back in the 1950's the island was a Nuclear waste dump. So maybe the nuclear waste on the island must have mutated the egg and bring the egg back to life.
"But that still doesn't answer my question on why Godzilla would head all the way out in the South Pacific Ocean for this one egg." Thought Miki as she looked at the egg
She then opened the glass panel and slowly put her hand onto the egg. When she did she saw things that looked like they were Godzilla's memories. There was a blinding flash of light and then intense heat, followed by a loud booming sound. Then right be it ended there was a loud roaring sound. Then it ended. Miki sat back down on in her chair and was winded by this. She sat in her chair for 5 minutes trying to figure this out.
"What the hell did I just see? It looked like to be a memory but is it from Godzilla or from the thing inside the egg. What is going on here?" Miki asked herself this while trying to piece this together.
South Pacific Ocean 3:00 pm
Godzilla was swimming away from the island when he stopped suddenly and stayed there for about 2 minutes. Just floating there, it was like there was something in his mind then it was gone. He stayed there for a few more minutes as he tried to understand what it was that was inside his mind. Then his sixth sense kicked in and he sensed that there were four Kaiju coming his way. He turned around and readied himself for battle. Godzilla scanned the waters around him and saw nothing. He then turned back around and then was slammed in the underwater cliffs by the Kaiju. Godzilla was buried under the rubble and then the other three came out of the shadows. Godzilla got back up and looked at the four Kaiju that were in his way. Godzilla roared at the Kaiju to move and stay out of his way. The four Kaiju roared back and were not moving out of Godzilla's way. Godzilla was floating there waiting for one of them to make a move. One of them did and came at Godzilla awesome speed. But Godzilla dodged it and came behind it and bit into its neck and bit down harder until there a crouch, and the Kaiju's neck snapped. The other three leaped into action and went straight for Godzilla. Godzilla released the one in his mouth and dropped it and spun around and saw the others coming. They were to close for him to dodge so he had no choice but to fight them. The first one came around him bit into his skin on his neck, the second one slammed into his side and made him lose his footing and the third one came down and body slammed him hard on the sea floor. Godzilla roared out in pain as these low levels were fighting him and giving him a hard time at letting him fight. Godzilla grabbed the one on top of him and throw him away and got up and grabbed the one that had his teeth inside him and pulled and ripped that Kaiju off of him, but in doing so he made a wound in his neck. Godzilla roared out in pain as blood was coming out of the wound he had just given himself. Godzilla roared out in pain and anger as the spins on his back started glowing and then unleashed it and hitting one Kaiju after the other. Godzilla then stopped the attack and saw the dead bodies of the Kaiju's floating there burned to crisp. Godzilla then left the area and continued on his course to japan.
PPDC, Shatterdom, Hong Kong 3:25 pm
The people of the Shatterdom were going to see the fifth Jaeger of the squad. They walked into the room and saw a giant robot was standing in the center of the room.
"Ladies and Gentlemen I want to show you the fifth and final Jaeger here at the Shatterdom. I present to you, MechaGodzilla." Said Pentecost as the others were looking at the mech
Ozaki turned over to Raleigh "Told you it would be something to see."
Raleigh was stunned to say the least. He never knew that they would ever build a Mech of Godzilla. The Robot looked to be bigger than even Godzilla himself. It was a sight to see the sliver machine in the flesh.
"MechaGodzilla is the first ever Jaeger that can be controlled from an aircraft or with a team inside it to control it as well," Pentecost started. "It also has a much stronger armor than the others have. This armor can absorb heat and store it inside itself and then redirect it back at the source. It also has missiles that can penetrate the enemy and make it so it can't move. Then there is the shock anchor. The Spar tip will rip into the enemy then send a charge of lighting through it."
Raleigh was mind blown at the size and shape of MechaGodzilla. It was a battle ready Mech just like the others were. Raleigh looked behind and looked at Mako who had an angry look on her face. He was wondering if it had to do with the meeting with Miki earlier. He would ask her later. He was impressed by the size and power of MechaGodzilla. It was a wonder of its own. He was wondering if this Mech could really kill Godzilla once and for all.
"Also MechaGodzilla can also combine with another machine to become Super MechaGodzilla." Said Pentecost
Becket was now wondering if MechaGodzilla was the ultimate Mech around.
"Ok people if you all would follow me. This tour is over." Said Pentecost
Everyone then followed Pentecost out of the room and back into the briefing room. Pentecost sat back in his seat and allowed the doctor's to continue.
"As you all know that thanks to the Jaeger pilots over this Kaiju war. We have found out that Kaiju are very large so that they need to brains to move their bodies. So when the next Kaiju that comes through the Breach then we'll send MechGodzilla have it go after that second brain of theirs." Said Newt
Everyone was shocked to hear that the pilots would be going the second brain and still have way of fighting there opponent. Pentecost then got up and sighed.
"Ok that is it for this meeting." Said Pentecost as he was walking back towards the door of the room and walked back out
South Pacific Ocean
Off the coast of the Marshall Islands
A fleet of U.S. Class Nuclear battleships were put at the Marshall Islands to protect the research building that was there. The ships were arched down by the shoreline of the island. The Flag ship was commanded by Major Tony Hikes.
"Ok people I want a report on the area." Said Hikes as he sat down and drank his coffee
"The waters are clear and the weather is clear today, Sir." Said one of the Crew
Hikes took a drink of his coffee and put his feet up on the desk and relaxed. Then the alarm sounded and Hikes jumped out of his seat and was alerted.
"What is going on?" Asked Hikes
"Sir we have picked a large moving object moving in the Pacific Ocean. It's about 30 miles away from and closing in fast." Sir one of the crew men
"Can you get a clear read on what it is?" Asked Hikes
"It's not a whale and larger than a ship." Said the Crewmen
They tracked the object on the radar and it was heading straight to the islands.
"I want the Ships on Red alert and I want the main guns ready to use at once." Said Hikes
"Yes sir, Caption Hikes!" Said the crewmen
They were running around getting everything ready for the target and ready to open fire on it. One of the Crewmen grabbed the phone and called the other ships on red alert also. The other ships were also now on high alert.
"Ok I want to know how far the target is now." Asked Hikes
"Its 15 miles away and closing in fast. It's moving at a speed of 40 knots, sir." Said the crewmen
"When this thing comes to the surface I want all ships to open fire on the Monster." Commanded Hikes
"Aye, Aye, Major Hikes." Said the Crewmen
The monster was closing in on the ships as the water was getting shallower as he got closer to the Islands. The water started to bulge in front of the ships as the water finally exploded. It was reviled to be none other than Godzilla himself.
"Godzilla? It's Godzilla." Thought Hikes
Godzilla roared at the fleet of battleships that were in front of him. Then he started to move toward the ships.
"ALL SHIPS OPEN FIRE ON GODZILLA!" Yelled hikes as he picked up his radio and told the other to open fire
All the battleships all opened Fired onto Godzilla. Godzilla roared in pain as the Shells from the ships were bombarding him on his skin. Godzilla continued to move on as the ships continued to fire. Godzilla roared in pain as a shell hit his wound on his neck making reopen and blood was running down his neck. Godzilla eyed three ships and started to charge up his Atomic Breath and then unleashed it on the ships. The beam struck each ship making the fuel on board them catch the fuel on fire and finally explode. Three of the biggest ships in the fleet were destroyed in a few moments. Godzilla roared out at the top of his lungs as he yet again let loose another Atomic Breath and this time want after all the ships in his way and blasted them a part. Godzilla stopped and looked at all the damage he did and continued to swim to the Islands and going to attack the research building on the island.
Back at the Shatterdom
Candidate Trials, 1700 hours
Becket was training with some new people seeing who would be good to be with him to help pilot Gypsy Danger.
Raleigh almost sighed as he ducked under the man's next swing. "This guy is just plain sloppy, that's all there is to say about that." Thought Raleigh
Becket whipped his staff from left to right, knocking the man off his feet. He then slammed into the ground, Raleigh spun, placing the staff against his neck, and held his position for a moment.
"Five to one," Mako called from where she was observing the trials, flanked by Pentecost.
Raleigh turned to face Pentecost with an audible sigh. "I thought you said you've found people who matched up with my Drift patterns. None of this lot have been able to keep up with me."
Pentecost remained calm. "Mr. Becket, these are the best candidates we have."
Raleigh considered for a moment, and then came to a decision. He shook his head. "No, they're not." He pointed with the staff, indicating Mako. "How about we give her a try?"
Mako's eyes widened in surprise.
Pentecost shook his head almost immediately. "Out of the question, Mr. Becket."
Raleigh's eyes narrowed. "Why not?"
"It's not a question, Mr. Becket," Pentecost said coolly. "Ms. Mori is not one of the candidates. Choose from the options available to you."
"She's an option," Raleigh countered. She has a perfect simulator score, so she's got to be than those other candidates."
Pentecost glared at Raleigh. "Mr. Becket, this is not for discussion."
Raleigh glared at him. "Why are you afraid that I'll beat one of your best, Pentecost?"
Pentecost looked at Mako and stood there for a few moments.
Finally Pentecost sighed. "Fine." He nodded to Mako.
A few moments later, Mako walked forward into the center of the ring, holding a staff identical to Raleigh's. Her stance was calm and poised, clearly prepared.
Raleigh warily circled her, raising his guard. Mako didn't react, remaining motionless.
"She's testing me…" He took the bait, swinging his staff in and tapping her on the left shoulder. "One-Zero," He announced
Faster than he could react, Mako whirled, whipping her own staff over and batting his out of the way, before tapping it on the tip of her own staff against his neck.
"One-one," She replied calmly, a faint smile coming to her face.
Raleigh raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Not bad at all."
Mako grinned. "I'm just getting started."
They both entered solid fighting stances, this time both poised and ready.
Mako charged, meeting his yell with her own as their staffs clashed.
Several minutes later…
Raleigh and Mako came to an abrupt halt, their staffs pressed against each other's necks.
Raleigh's eyes widened in astonishment. "Five to five? Did we… did we just hit a tie? How's that even possible?
Mako's eyes were also wide, as she stared back at Raleigh. There was an unreadable expression on her face, but before she could say anything, Pentecost cut them off.
"That's enough," he called out. "I've made my decision."
"So have I," Raleigh replied, leaning on his staff and indicating Mako with one hand. "She's my copilot."
Mako's eyes widened in shock, as she looked over at Raleigh.
Pentecost shook his head. "No, she's not."
"What?" Raleigh asked in disbelief.
"I said, Mr. Becket, she's not your copilot," Pentecost said.
"She's the only one of these candidates who's been able to match me- the only one who's even come close to matching me!" Raleigh argued. "She's exactly the kind of copilot I need."
"We're not discussing this, Mr. Becket," Pentecost snapped. "I've made my decision; report to the Shatterdom in four hours, and find out who your copilot will be."
Raleigh watched in shook as Pentecost turned and exited the room, Mako following close behind.
Raleigh sighed, lowering his head as the rest of the candidates filed out of the room.
South Pacific Ocean
Kaiju Research Building
Marshall Islands
17: 45 hours
The Kaiju research building was getting evacuated from the building with the help of the JSDF. Godzilla was moving closer to the Research Building and there was no time left until he was on the land and heading for them.
"Please keep moving people, the ship is decked and waiting for you. Just go and leave everything behind." Said LT. O'Neal of the Navy
Godzilla roared as he was inching closer to the Marshall Islands. Godzilla could see the Building in the distance as he was coming to get rid of that building. Godzilla sensed that the countless parts and other things of other Kaiju were in there and they needed to be destroyed. Godzilla had one thing on his mind and that was to burn this place to the ground and kill all that worked there.
"Come on people move it. The Ship is waiting; we can't stay here much longer. Godzilla is heading here. We have to hurry now." Said O'Neal
Just then as O'Neal looked out to see Godzilla coming. There was cannon fire. The firing was coming from about 5 battleships that came around the island. Then 3 Apache Helicopters came into the battle and started to blast away at Godzilla. Godzilla was being bombarded by all sides again. Godzilla's started to glow and then he aimed carefully and blasted 3 of the Ships to hell and then aimed up and locked eyes with one the Helicopters and blasted him out of the sky. The Helicopter exploded and landed on the roof of the research building. Godzilla then looked at the others ships and blasted them to hell. Then he waited for the 2 Helicopters to come near each other and then he blasted them. Godzilla roared and continued to the Island. Godzilla made it to the coast of the island and started to walk up the hill and the people were still running out of the building. Godzilla made it to the top and roared as he was getting closer to the building. Godzilla's spins light up and he sucked in a large amount of air and unleashed his Atomic Breath and blasted a hole is the center of the building. Godzilla then stopped his and slammed into the building and with all his might he pushed it and the building came down on all the people that were running and couldn't get away from Godzilla's wrath. Godzilla roared through the smoke as the smoke cleared Godzilla looked around and saw there was a ship at the north side of the island and started to charge up of Atomic Breath and unleashed it and blew the ship to pieces and the people were burned alive along with the ship. Godzilla then turned back around and headed back to the sea and back on course to Tokyo.
Shatterdom, PPDC
20:00 hours
Pentecost's office
Pentecost was sitting in his office after what happened in the trails for the new copilot of Raleigh Becket. He was wondering if he was wrong to not let Mako be his copilot. He has been here since the trails thinking. Then the door slammed open and there was Osaki.
"Osaki, what's wrong?" Asked Pentecost
"We have a major thing wrong here." Said Osaki "We lost contract with the Kaiju Research Building in the Marshall Islands just a few hours ago."
"WE WHAT," Yelled Pentecost. "What the hell happened there?"
"I don't know sir but we did recover some things from the site and we are finding out on the videos." Said Osaki
"Ok keep me informed." Said Pentecost
A few hours later
In the office of Marshall Pentecost, everyone was gathered to see the videos that were recovered from the Kaiju Research Building. The video was opened up and they watched as the video played and they watched and saw what did that to the island. The monster that did this was none other than the King himself, Godzilla.
"What the hell is going on?" Asked Pentecost "I want to know how we didn't know about him at all and how did he not appear on the tracking system."
"I don't know sir." Said Osaki "But we should hurry up on G-force."
Then there was a video cam opened and it was Tendo.
"Marshall we have a reading on Godzilla." Said Tendo
"So where is Godzilla now, Tendo?" Asked Pentecost
"Looks like he is moving away from the Marshalls and heading out to the sea." Said Tendo "But if he continues this course then he'll run into Tokyo Bay in about 10-12 hours at most."
"Damn it, and there's nothing we can do either." Said Pentecost
Back in Tokyo
Miki was looking over the data that was collected from the egg. She found that the egg has different colors that change. She thinks that they might indicate the egg's mood at the time. Helping her with this was her friend, Mayumi Nagamine. They both were there looking over the egg. Just when Miki was getting something from the data. She suddenly felt light headed and collapsed onto the floor.
"Miki, what's wrong, MIKI." Said Mayumi
After a few moments Miki opened her eyes.
"Ahh what happened?" Asked Miki
"I don't know. You suddenly collapsed." Said Mayumi
Miki then has a vision of Godzilla moving slowly through the ocean and he had a lot of anger and his mind was full of killer intent. She went deeper into his mind, but Godzilla pushed her back out and Miki want flying a feet.
"What Happened?" Asked Mayumi
"I tried to link with Godzilla." Said Miki "But he pushed me out very quickly and he wasn't in a happy mood either."
"What do you mean by that, Miki?" Asked Mayumi
"He is full of anger and killer intent." Said Miki with a fearful look
South Pacific Ocean
04:00 hours
Godzilla moved through the water and was going to reach Tokyo bay in a matter of hours. Godzilla was more than pissed at the humans for what they have done to him. Godzilla came to the top and roared out loudly and was moving at a faster pace. Godzilla then lit up his plates and blasted the water all around him and roared. Godzilla then got back on track. Godzilla is coming to Tokyo.
A/N: and teat's a wrap folks. Well what you thought about this one. And sorry for the late chapter been working a lot. What would you do if you in this like Pentecost is with Mako and Raleigh and the whole thing with Godzilla going on.
