Ch. 4

The next day Sora arrived back on the island, he looked around seeing the breeze blowing in the trees and the waves washing along the shore. He still couldn't believe that he was back in time, praticiall reliving his life until some Seekers of Darkness would show up and try to change it. Sora was starting to get a little impatient and anxious with all the waiting, he had no idea when the Seekers were going to make their move, it could be any time any where.

Sora sighed, he knew that standing around thinking about it wasn't going to accomplish anything. He had to go repeat another day of his life to get another step closer to finding the Seekers and their plan.

Sora headed over to the other section of the island, where he was Riku would have a race. Sora remember that he wasn't able to beat Riku back then, and as much as Sora wanted to finally beat Riku in a race, he knew that couldn't. Tsuki had told him that he shouldn't try to change too much in his past.

"Would winning a race really change that much though?" Sora thought before he entered the doorway leading to the otherside of the island. "Hmm...I guess it could…" Witht hat Sora then headed into the other area and processed with his day, doing everything as close as he could like he did the first time.

Later after the race, Sora was gathering the second set of items that was on the list Kairi had. He looked around both sections of the island for Juliana or Tsuki, but ended up not being able to find them anywhere for that day.

By the end of the day, Sora and the group headed home. Sora looked back at the island behind him, soon within a few hours it would be consumed by the darkness...and his whole adventure would be set in motion. That gave Sora a smile, "I may be looking for those two Seekers, but at least I will get to met all my friends again."

As the hours passed, Sora paced back and forth in his room, waiting for the right time to leave. As Sora paced more and more thoughts came to his head, "What are Juliana and Tsuki going to do when the islands are consumed in darkness? Do they have some plan to get out of this world safely or something? I hope they will be alright."

Suddenly a bright flash of lighting shot through the sky. Sora looked out his window to see the oncoming storm of darkness surrounding the island. "Alright, time to go." SOra muttered as he headed out of his room. After sneaking out of the house he ran as fast as he could to the shore, got in his little boat, and headed towards the island.

He made it to the docks, and looked around the area. As expected a bunch of Shadow Heartless appeared. Sora grabbed his wooden sword, which was in his boat and began smacking the Heartless. But as Sora remembered, it really had no effect on them. Then, without even realizing it, he had summoned his keyblade.

Sora gasped, "Wait how am I able to summon the keyblade now? I didn't have it yet at this point. Unless...since it was my heart and mind that traveled back time. My heart from the future already knows how to summon it. But…" Sora looked over to the smaller island to see Riku standing there, "I can't let Riku see this….that might change something…" Sora unsummoned it and continued making his way through the Heartless to the small island.

But before he cross the bridge to the smaller island he stopped and started ahead. There several feet ahead of him was Riku, standing there looking out at the darkness orb in the sky. Sora sighed, he was going to have to rewatch his best friend get consumed by the darkness again.

"Riku!" Sora shouted as he ran into the smaller island.

Not turning around Riku spoke, "The door has opened Sora…"

"But Riku…" Sora started, but Riku cut him off.

"The door as has opened, Sora! Now we can go to the outside world!"

Sora couldn't stand it anymore as he gritted his teeth, he knew he shouldn't try to change anything, but if everything worked out in the end it wouldn't matter right? He didn't want to have to see his best friend go through all that again. "No Riku! Don't do it!" Sora shouted as he clenched his fists.

"No Sora. I have to do this. This is how it's meant to be, and you know it" Riku replied casually, much to Sora's surprise.

"What? Riku...wait...when did you-" Sora began to say, but again Riku cut him off.

"It doesn't matter now. What does matter is doing our best to continue on as we did originally. I have to let...the darkness take me, while you go to Kairi. Don't worry though Sora, I know what I am doing this time." Riku said with a small smile.

"But…" Sora tried to say again, but Riku closed his eyes and shook his head.

"We can't go changing major things that happened. This is what happened. So we have to make sure it happens again," Riku said as a pool of darkness formed at his feet, starting to wrapped around his legs.

Sora sighed as he still tried to reach out to Riku, like it had first happened. He knew Riku was right, but having to see it all happen again...Sora sighed again and them reminded himself, "Remember. It all works out in the end. Everything is going to be alright."

The darkness completely consumed the two, but in the bright flash of light. Sora found himself, as expected, to be alone on the island, with his keybalde in hand now. Sora quickly turned and ran to the secret place, the place where Kairi would be.

After once again trying to save Kairi, but having her disappear. Sora once again found himself having to battle Darkside, but by this point in his heart in mind, everything felt easier. Though he still wasn't able to completely finish off the Darkness, the orb of darkness had nearly sucked up the entire rest of what remain of the island. The Darkside was swept into the orb while, Sora held onto a blank of wood for short moment before letting go. Getting pulled into darkness storm causing the real start of his first adventure.

I know it was a bit short, but it's all building up for the big stuff we got planned for this story.
