Chapter 4: Road to Wave Part 1
It was another bright day in the village hidden in the leaves as the genin team of team 7 were walking down the street of konoha with Naruto caring a fuzzy cat that was trying to scratch their eyes out. This cat is the fire daimyos wife's cat that escaped and are returning it for the third time today witch annoyed all of team 7 except Kakashi or Naruto who just ignored the cat who was struggling to get out of his grip. When they got to the hokage tower the daimyos wife came up to Naruto and grabbed the cat from the blonds hand and started to squash the life out of the cat until the wife looked at Naruto a little closely until she recognized him.
Excuse boy, but what is your name, asked the wife(I don't know the name so I'm just going to call her the wife).
Naruto Uzamaki and it's good to see you again Mrs. Damiyo, said "Naruto" as he waved at the wife of the fire daimyo.
Ah Naruto it has been awhile when I last saw you, said the wife.
Naruto have you meant the fire daimyos wife before, asked "Iruka" as he was sitting next to the hokage.
Yes I saved her, her husband, and granddaughter while they were taking a trip to one of their summer homes and when they were almost about to arrive they got ambushed by two groups of bandits that tried to take all three of them, but since I was training so close and when I heard the commotion I arrived just in time to stop them from taking any of them, I also got their granddaughter to get an attitude change, said "Naruto."
Yes and you should really come visit some time, said the wife.
I will when I got any free time, said "Naruto."
Alright I will tell my daughter and hope to see you again, said the wife as she left the room.
You know some good people Naruto, said "Sauratobi."
I know, but anyway old man can you give us a more better mission then this one, I don't complain much, but seriously can you at least give us a mission that ain't gonna have me destroy something, said "Naruto."
Well I guess I can give you a simple C rank escort mission if the rest of your team is up for it, asked "Sauratobi."
I trust all except maybe Saukra, but we will protect her, said "Naruto."
The third hokage just smiled as he grabbed a scroll from the pile of scrolls before handing one to Naruto who looked at it then smiled at the third as he walked over to his team and gave the scroll to Kakashi who read it over before rolling it back up.
Well it looks like we will have to escort a bridge builder to his home in wave country then we are to stay their till the bridge is complete, said "Kakashi."
Yes and your client should be here in a few seconds, said the hokage. To his word a couple of seconds later an old man with a ragged brown shirt and grey pants smelling of alcohol since he held a bottle of sake in his right hand.
I thought I payed for real ninja not a bunch of kids, asked the drunken man.
Naruto just stared at the man with an emotionless face before appearing right in front of him with a face that could make many pee their pants and that is what the drunk man almost did.
Listen I know we look like a bunch of kids, but I think we could handle a bunch of thugs, said "Naruto" in a tone that made the man back away as Naruto appeared back with his team with an emotionless face.
Yesh that kid can scare anyone, thought the drunken man.
Naruto I would calm down on the whole killer thing if you want Tazuna to finish that bridge he is making, said the third hokage.
Alright, but he better be nicer of all bets are off, said "Naruto" as he stared at the man who backed away from the stare.
Anyway I want all of you to meet me at the south gate at 8 for tomorrows mission so be prepared for a long trip if we take to long, said "Kakashi" as his team nodded before walking away and out of the hokage building where they each went their separate ways so they could pack for the mission.
Naruto had just finished packing when he saw a small frog hop in front of him as he saw it it laid a scroll down in which Naruto took before the frog disappeared in a cloud of smoke as he then grabbed the scroll and read the contents before closing it and finish packing and when he was done he got ready for bed before his mission tomorrow.
NEXT MORNING
It was almost 9 as both Sauske and Saukra waited for their sensai, teammate, and client to meet them at the gate to get ready to set off towards their mission. As it struck nine Kakashi was walking up to them with Tazuna by his side as they saw the glare from Saukra.
YOUR LATE! Yelled "Saukra."
Well you see-, said "Kakashi" before being interrupted by another voice.
Yesh can you keep it down Saukra I was trying to read, said "Naruto" from atop a tree that stood next to the gate.
Well it looks like you weren't here very long, asked "Kakashi."
No since I saw you walking a little bit early to the gate so I got ready fast and here I am, said "Naruto" as he jumped off the tree and landed next to both his teammates with two giant scrolls on his back with a small bag.
Is that all you brought, asked the masked ninja.
Yeah since each scroll can carry lots of things for a long trip like this one, said "Naruto."
Okay then if that is all then we will set off right away, said "Kakashi" as he and his team set off to wave country.
As they were walking for about two hours everything was quiet and nothing out of the ordinary as Naruto and Kakashi read their books, while Saukra was trying to make a conversation with Sauske while he was ignoring the pink haired girl and Tazuna just drake his sake. After another couple of minutes the group came upon two puddles on each side of the road and this didn't go unnoticed by Naruto or Kakashi as they both put their books away and kept walking. It wasn't until two people with claws on their arms and mask that covered their bottom faces started appearing form the puddle before they threw their chains that wrapped around Kakashi before being ripped to shreds by the blades, but Naruto saw that it was just a log as he got out two pairs of his three ponged kunia and as one ninja went after him another went after the others. He quickly threw he kunia at the masked man that was coming at him and as the masked man dodged the kunia Naruto appeared right next to him with his fist already coming at his face witch sent the mask man flying through two trees. Before Naruto could check if he was dead he turned around to see Kakashi handle the other ninja and he put his kunia away as he walked over to the group.
These are kiri rogue ninja, the brothers of the bloody mist, said "Kakashi."
Yup, but I'm guessing that they ain't alone and that they weren't getting anyone of us except maybe, said "Naruto" as he looked at Tazuna who was sweating under the blonde boys gaze. Tazuna I know what is happening to your country and I will keep on helping you, but if you want the rest of my team to help then I would say what is really going on, said "Naruto."
Tazuna just sighed as he knew he couldn't lie any longer. Well if you must know, a evil man named Gato came to wave almost a year ago and started to take over wave by cutting trade that makes wave survive and prosper. The bridge I am building will help wave survive, but it will also ruin the business that Gato makes with his secret illegal tradings and my bridge will stop his dirty dealings, said "Tazuna."
Well since you lied to us we would need to return since we aren't prepared for this sort of mission, but since Naruto wants to stay and can handle himself I will let my last of my team decide, said "Kakashi."
Well if the dove isn't going to back away neither is me, said "Sauske."
And I want to keep going so that we could help the poor people of Wave, said "Saukra."
Well okay then we will move out right now, said "Kakashi" as he tied the two demon brothers up before Naruto walked up to them and reveled a scroll which was a prison scroll as the two puffed into smoke and disappearing into the scroll. As he put it in his bag they started to walk off to Wave and after awhile they made it to the water where a boat was waiting and as they climbed on the boat rowed off shore. After a couple of minutes the boat finally made it to land as they started to walk to Tazuna's house.
Tazuna how far is your house, asked "Kakashi."
Not far maybe an hour at best, said "Tazuna" before anyone could say anything else Naruto threw a kunia into the bushes where it hit a bunny in the ear as it just lay their feeling like it's life is about to end, but Naruto just pulled out the kunia from it's ear as it quickly ran away from the group.
Naruto why did you try to kill that bunny, asked "Saukra" as she had an angry look.
DUCK! Yelled "Kakashi" as he grabbed both Tazuna and Saukra while Naruto and Sauske both ducked under a large sword that was flying in the air trying to take their heads off. The sword hit a tree and a man with raggedy pants, no shirt, but bandages that covered his mouth.
Zabuza Monichia demon of the mist and former kiri nin, said "Kakashi" as he got up from the ground in a defensive position.
Ah, Kakashi Hatake of the sharingan, I didn't expect you to be here, but I can guess I excepted someone of your caliber to take down the demon brothers, said "Zabuza" as he jumped off the tree with the sword landing on the lake.
Everyone stay back this is a fight that I have to do myself, said "Kakashi" as he pulled out a kunia before running at Zabuza for the kill. Before he could strike Zabuza raised his big sword and stopped Kakashi from stabbing him. Kakashi jumped back as Zabuza tried to cut his head off. Zabuza smiled under his mask as he disappeared, while Kakashi looked around for him.
Sorry Kakashi, but I have to finish my mission first, said "Zabuza" as he appeared behind Tazuna ready to slash his head off, but was stopped by Naruto who stopped him with one of his kunia as Zabuza jumped back with an annoyed look, while Naruto had a calm face, but his another teammates had scared look and tried not to show it.
Good job Naruto, said "Kakashi" as he appeared beside him.
That is an annoying student you got their Kakashi, but he will be fine to kill, said "Zabuza as he did a couple of hand signs. Hidden mist jutsu, a thick mist rolled in as both Naruto and Kakahsi's view of sight was gone.
Where is he, asked "Kakashi."
Right here, said "Zabuza" as he appeared beside him and kicked him to the lake while trying to chop Naruto's head off only to cut the boys robe and for him to disappear and reappear behind him as he kicked him in the back with a powerful one at that that sent Zabuza flying next to the lake as Kakashi was about to move in to finish it, but Zabuza appeared from under the water behind him as Zabuza smirked as water rose up and trapped Kakashi in a sphere of water.
Water style: Water prison jutsu, said "Zabuza" with a big smirk.
Damn, I can't believe I fell for a trick like this, I guess I am getting rusty, said "Kakashi" as he tried to get out.
Now that you are trapped I can deal wi-, said "Zabuza" before being interrupted by a kick to the face that sent him flying away from them as Kakashi was freed from the water prison as Naruto stood next to him without his cloak, that had shattered a small part of the land which surprised team 7 and Tazuna were amazed that he could wear something so heavy. Naruto didn't wear any shirt, but kept his dark blue pants and dark blue sandles.
Why you little brat, said "Zabuza" as he got up from the water.
Yeah well I guess you'll have to catch me first, said "Naruto" as he disappeared before appearing right in front of Zabuza giving him a punch in the stomach that sent a lot of pain through Zabuza's stomach as he held his stomach, but felt even more pain when Naruto started to hit him with kicks and punches that would make the masked ninja to go higher into the air till Naruto finished with a big hit to the face that sent him crashing into a tree that almost broke from impact and because of the impact Zabuza just watched as Naruto was walking up to him, but before he could deliver the finishing blow Senbon needles came flying out of the trees hitting Zabuza right in the neck as he fell over lifeless. A masked person with what looked like a kiri mask came out of the trees.
Thank you for taking care of Zabuza for me now if you excuse me, said the mask kiri nin as he walked to Zabuza and grabbed him, but dodged a kunia aimed for his head as he turned around to see Naruto with a deadly glare as he held another kunia.
Don't take me for an idiot I know you aren't a kiri nin, since I felt you following us when we dealt with those demon brothers, so don't think I know you aren't playing us for a fool, said "Naruto" getting ready to move, but stopped as ice surrounded the ninja and Zabuza before in dispersed and they were gone.
Damn, said "Naruto" as he grabbed his kunia before heading back to his teammates who were shocked by how strong Naruto really was while Sauske was struggling not to ask Naruto how he was strong, but decided against it knowing what he will regret it, but Saukra didn't mind at all asking.
How the hell are you so strong, asked "Saukra."
Listen I'll explain everything when we get to Tazuna's house, said "Naruto."
He is right we need to explain what happen here, said "Kakashi" as he and the rest of the group walked to Tazuna's house so that they could explain what just happen, but one thing is for certain they had a lot of questions for their own blonde teammate about his abilities.
Well that is the end of that
sorry it tool a while but
it might take me awhile
since I am busy, but I should be able to do
one or two more chapters this week
since no school this Monday
