Clary POV:
Shit. Will was right. When I got home, I kept thinking about the car journey, and how close I was to Jace.
No POV:
The next day, Clary wasn't at school. She had begged her mum for a day off because she was so confused. Confused about Will; and confused about Jace. She knew she and Will were over, at least for now, but she didn't know how she felt about the fact. She decided to spend the day painting, that was something that always helped.
Clary POV:
I got out my paints, and set up a new canvas on my easel. I plugged my earplugs in and turned on my music. I always find the best thing is to let the paintbrush guide me, rather than trying to paint something in particular.
Jace POV:
I was worried when Clary wasn't in art. Although she was popular, she didn't strike me as the kind of girl to skive, and she seemed pretty upset and stressed when we left her at her house yesterday. Izzy and Alec had teased me about her all evening. Izzy desperately wanted me to ask her out while Alec couldn't care less, he just thought it was funny.
After Art I headed to my locker. Unfortunately Will and his friends were waiting for me. They watched as I put my sketchbook away then a voice whispered in my ear "Stay the fuck away from my girlfriend, or else." Before I could respond, they walked away laughing. Will was so pathetic. The best he could do was whisper in my ear. He was also acting plain jealous. The thought made me smile. That he thought I was a threat to him was quite ridiculous. As if Clary would ever go for anyone like me.
