AN: I LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE! Hey, guys, how you doing? I know that it has been such a long time since I've updated on this story. I've started and stopped this during, like, what, sophomore year? I'm a college freshman now. I hope you guys can forgive me for that. The reason that I've put this on a 2 year hiatus was because I was very traumatized by Corpse Party when I was 14. I was so traumatized to the point that I couldn't sleep. Hell, I couldn't even look at a pair of sewing scissors without getting paranoid. So, I took that 2 year break to try and overcome my fear of the series, especially with BloodDrive's release approaching. I know, right? Stupid. But now I know that I should never ever play it during the night or when my parents aren't around. One tidbit I should let you guys in on, you guys will be surprised when I reveal what the "Return" part of this title really means. Also I noticed a couple of discrepancies on the previous chapters, fret not, I will fix those as soon as possible. Haha…anyways, I hope I can make it up to you guys. I'll try to update as much as possible because, hey, this is college and it's not a walk in the park to find time to write. Anyways, I give you all Chapter III! I am very thankful to those who kept reviewing, reading and favoriting this story. I greatly appreciated it.

CHAPTER III:

Confrontation with Akira

As Aki headed up to her office, she received a warm welcome from the staff. While she was stuck in traffic, she changed her varsity jacket with a black woman's blazer and tucked her shirt in. When she arrived at her office, she immediately sat down on her desk and turned the computer on. Since her meeting is still in 25 minutes, she had some time to kill. When she got on the internet, she immediately looked up Heavenly Host Elementary School. All she found were articles from the 50s and 70s, however. Articles about the murders that Satoshi described. She clicked the first article, dating back to 1973.

"Heavenly Host Kidnappings Solved

3 children that have disappeared from Heavenly Host have been found. At the same time, however, it is a tragedy. Instead of being found alive, the three children were found dead in the most gruesome way possible. One of the children, the only male, sustained multiple stab wounds in the abdominal area and the cause of death for the other two are too gruesome to be described but personal effects were the only reason for the recognition of one of the children. Additionally, there was a fourth child found; a little girl by the name of Sachiko Shinozaki. The girl was moments away from death when she was discovered. Little Sachiko fingered the perpetrator, Yoshikazu Yanagihori, the son of Heavenly Host's Principal, Takamine Yanagihori. The murder weapon is a pair of sewing scissors that were found in Yanagihori's possession."

After reading the article, Aki scrolled down. There were pictures of cops investigating the scene but none of the victims. Probably to gruesome. The paper lists the deceased as Ryou Yoshizawa, Tokiko Tsuji and Yuki Kanno. There were pictures of the kids before their deaths and it made Aki lament the fact at the wasted young lives. The sole survivor's name caught her attention though; Sachiko Shinozaki. Was she related to Ayumi or something? Aki was snapped out of her musings when her secretary called her.

"Ma'am, the board is ready." She said.

"Yes, thank you, Aya." Aki responded. Aki stood up and left her office and headed for the conference room. Once she arrived, she sat down at the head chair.

"Okay, now that we're all here. Give me the reports." Aki ordered them. One of the board members started to give his report. After an hour, the security team bust in, holding her classmates by their uniforms.

"Ma'am, we found them sneaking around the stairwell. They said you knew them." The chief said. Aki facepalmed upon seeing Yoshiki, Ayumi, Satoshi and Naomi.

"Uh…while I enjoy these meeting, we'll continue this Saturday. Dismissed." She said. "And bring them to my office." She ordered the chief. He nodded and dragged them out of the room, while Aki worked on something.

The Chief of Security dragged Yoshiki and the others to Kira's office. Yoshiki would've fought and struggled but they had guns and he can't risk the others.

"Sit down, shut up and don't touch anything." He said and he left the room but he knew that the man would be guarding them outside.

"What do we do now?" Naomi asked.

"What else? We wait." Ayumi answered. Satoshi approached Aki's desk and he noticed the pieces of paper, strewn across her desk. He grabbed one and noticed the scribbles on the paper. Much to his horror, it was a research on Heavenly Host.

"Why would she be researching about this?" Satoshi questioned.

"Research what?" Yoshiki asked him.

"He-Heavenly Host. See?" Satoshi said and he showed them the paper. Neither of them wanted to remember that cursed school and the lives they took but they had no choice but to live with it.

"Alright, Fantastic Four, what are you guys doing?" Someone asked. They turned around to see Aki standing there. Yoshiki immediately confronted her.

"You're starting to get suspicious. Why were you looking Heavenly Host up?" He asked as he walked up to her. He may have a couple of good inches ahead of Aki but his delinquent aura's got no effect on Aki. Seriously, America spat out delinquents worse than him towards her.

"None of your business." Aki replied. She took the paper from Naomi and sat in her desk.

"What are you guys doing here? Don't you guys have classes? Especially you, Class Rep?" She asked them.

"We wanted to know who you really were." Ayumi answered.

"Yeah, well, now you do. Anything else?"

"Why-"Yoshiki began.

"Because it's connected." Aki answered.

"To what?" Satoshi asked.

"My memories. Look, when I was 15, I woke up in a hospital in Rhode Island, not knowing where I've been. My friends and boyfriend were in different rooms. Mom and Dad said we were found at our school's football field, unconscious, stabbed repeatedly and beaten up. None of us could remember what happened. We don't know why. But when Yoshiki mentioned Heavenly Host, some came back. I saw a dark, old classroom, with broken wooden floors, a skeleton, a blue flam and a girl with nothing but her lower jaw. That's when I knew that Heavenly Host is connected to what happened to us." Aki explained.

"Don't." Ayumi said as she looked down on the ground. Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes.

"Don't what?" She asked her.

"Don't try to remember. It's better if you don't. You have no idea how much we want that luxury." Naomi answered.

"I can't. I have to know. Go home. Go back to school or something. Aki said. The four of them walked out of Aki's office and left the building. Aki sat on her desk, working on her research.

"I'm sorry, Naomi, but I have to remember." She thought to herself as she worked on her research

Once the four left the building, they decided to go home.

"Oh, crap! I have to pick up Yuka!" Satoshi said and he went the opposite way.

"I'll go with you!" Naomi said as she followed him, leaving Yoshiki and Ayumi alone.

"You think Aki will be alright?" Ayumi asked as they walked.

"I don't know. Maybe. I just hope she'll have the sense to stop what she's doing." He answered. They walked for awhile with Ayumi enjoying the silence and Yoshiki planning on how to ask her out.

'Ah, hell. I'll just come out with it.' He thought to himself.

"Hey, Ayumi, want to go out somewhere later?" He asked her.

"Hmm…don't you have work later?" She pondered.

"I have a short shift. I'll pick you up later?" Yoshiki asked her.

"Alright. But instead of a sushi place, why don't we just go to the Arcade?" Ayumi requested shyly as she looked at the ground. Yoshiki found it hard to resist to start laughing at how adorable she was being.

"Sure. If that's what you want." He answered. Finally, they arrived in front of her house. Yoshiki spotted Ayumi's sister, Hinoe, looking at them from the window. Ayumi noticed her to and blushed at the thought of Hinoe seeing them as well as the amount of teasing she was going to get from her.

"My parents won't be home for the night, so it's just me and Hinoe." Ayumi said.

"Alright. I'll pick you up at 7:30." Yoshiki said with a grin. Ayumi simply gave him a kiss on the cheek before going inside her house. Yoshiki smiled and walked the opposite direction. One glance and it was obvious that he was in cloud nine. When he was sure that no one was around, he started jumping in joy, happy that he landed a date with Ayumi.
