I know it has been soooo long since I last updated this story. Sorry. My excuse? Well, you know me, I couldn't write (same old same old excuse). I still don't have a real plot from here on out so I will have to pick my brain apart and see if I could come with something. Hope this is a good read. Review please :D

The warm sun rays had long embraced the room. The fresh cool breezes hand encircled and brushed the many green leaves, making them waved. The morning drew had slowly evaporated into the atmosphere.

Sesshomaru, the Lord of the Western Land was holding snugly onto his beloved wife. His slim fingers gently ran through her midnight tresses. A soft silk blanket covered their forms.

Then the young sleeping woman slowly stirred.

She inhaled in an easy deep breath, filling her lungs with fresh oxygen, indicated that she was ready for another day.

"Hm…" she murmured in contentment as she moved.

Her body ached.

Suddenly she became wild awake. Her cheeks heated up, turning red from remembering what had taken place last night. She was finally his wife, both in name and body.

The corners of her lips lifted up into a soft smile at the thought. She was still held inside her husband's strong protective arms.

She had been waking up by his side many mornings since they had married, but never like this. Never a morning that she felt so bliss, happy, and complete. Oh she had always been happy with him by her side, but this morning was special.

She could feel his body's heat penetrated from the thin sleepwear he wore.

"Good morning, husband." She murmured shyly, string into his chest, using a darling name on him.

"Good morning, wife." He responded in his deep monotone voice.

To others, it would be the same cold indifferent voice, but not to Rin. Something in the tone of his voice made her shoot up and looked at him. Concerned.

"Lord Sesshomaru? What's wrong?" she asked. He did not answer, only stared out of the windows. His expression remained stoic.

She then noticed, his body stiffened and his muscles were tensed. His gazes were elsewhere and not on her. He had always looked at her; watched her slept and became awake, something that often made her blushed. But this morning, his intense golden orbs were not on her.

Her brain was racing at a hundred miles in a heartbeat, thinking of any possibility that could have upset her demon husband.

Then realization drew in on her.

He was feeling guilty because of their love making.

It was painful, she would be honest, so painful that for a moment she thought she would die. But it was also the happiest moment of her life, something she had always wanted to do, but deem impossible. Unreachable. Especially after the unwanted mating mark and been cursed upon her neck.

But Sesshomaru had granted her her greatest wish. She had finally become one with him. The man she loved with her entire beings. That was why she was feeling so happy and fulfilled.

"Please look at me, my lord," she said gently to her husband. He did not move.

"Please," she pleaded.

Sesshomaru, who could never deny her request, turned to glaze at his beautiful wife's face.

Her beautiful innocent eyes pieced his icy heart. Never had he thought he, Sesshomaru, would become an emotional creature. Her beautiful face reminded him that he had hurt her, the woman he swore to protect.

Rin pulled away from him and was on her knees; just far enough for her to sat up and face him. Both her hands gently came up to cup his face, forcing him to look at her.

After a few moment of silent, their gaze locked, Rin spoke.

"Thank you." She told him sincerely. A smile grazed her lips.

Sesshomaru's eyes widened slightly at her comment before returning to their normal size. He had hurt terribly her and yet, she was thanking him.

"Thank you for not casing me aside. Thank you for abided to my selfish wish and go through with it even though it was such a terrible thing I had forced you to do." She understood the pain he had suffered while fulfilling her selfish wish. He never wanted to hurt her, but she forced him to anyway. While doing so, it must curve many scars that were deeper than anything else could to his heart.

"For last night, I have no regret. It was very painful, I will not lie, my lord." Her fingers gently traced on his magenta strips on his cheeks. Her eyes were soft. His gaze locked with hers. "But it was the happiest moment in my life also." She searched deep into his beautiful golden orbs trying to reach to his very soul and heal his invisible wound. "I am finally fully become yours. And my heart aches from such great happiness. So thank you." She smiled brightly at him.

The room stood still with both husband and wife lost into each other's intense gaze.

"Please don't regret for granting me such happiness. Or I too will never be able to forgive myself for forcing your hands to tear out your own heart."

Sesshomaru's eyes once again grown slightly larger for a split second, before they softened. She was telling him that if he kept on blaming himself, she would blame herself as well because she believed she was the one who forced him into it.

"None sense. There is no such thing." He told her. One of his hands came to cup over her hand that had been on his cheeks. Rin smiled softly at his action.

Sesshomaru learned down to take her soft lips. Their tender kiss went on for a good long minute before they broke apart.

One of his hands held onto her cheek, he told her, "We shall hold a cerebration."

Rin looked at her husband in puzzlement, waiting for the explanation to come.

Sesshomaru's hand reached down and rested on her flat adamant. Rin's eyes followed his hand and back to his soft gaze that only she could see.

Her hands flew to cover her cover mouth as soon as she understood the meaning.

Sesshomaru could smell the change in her scent and knew she was with child. Their child.

"We shall cerebrate and welcome the new member of our family." Sesshomaru told her.

"I'm not dreaming am I?" she asked her husband. The moment the mark had been placed on her neck, she had given up on having children. It had become impossible.

But Sesshomaru had just told her she carrying his child.

This sounded too good to be true. She was afraid that she might startle awake and found that everything was but a dream. "Please tell me this is really happening, my lord. That I am not dreaming this all up." She pleaded for a confirmation.

Sesshomaru gently pulled her into his arms, held her protectively as if she was his utmost precious treasure.

"It is not a dream Rin. And you will soon birth the hair of this Sesshomaru. Our child."

Rin's face slowly beamed into the biggest smile as her slim arms returned her husband's embrace.

She was carrying the child of the man she loved.

Their love.
