Chapter 4: The Kama Sutra

AU: First so sorry for the weird page breaks, having formatting issues. And second. I'm backkk! The creative juices are flowing and I'm already half done with chapter 5. I apologize for disappearing, Uni has been kicking my butt.. A double major is not letting my creativity flow! Nor does two jobs to support tuition along with an internship…

Also I really don't know how time works on Asgard versus Earth, if it's slower or faster but its my AU right? And the time we are at is November in the story. Last I really wrote was Feburary and I apologize if the previous chapters does not follow. Also this is also a mini chapter but five has a LOT going on, not just sexy romantic humor. Promise it'll be long and goooood. By the way, sexual content is involved/implied a bit in this chapter. Forewarned!

"Yes… Yes they do. Now come. Sit. Talk to me. Or are you tired and want to go to bed?" She wanted to ask him about Asgard, about books, about well anything really but she was suppressing a huge yawn. The fishbowl she had was catching up with her. But her desire to see more, learn more, and get to know Loki was overwhelming her need to rest.

"I do not need to sleep yet. Time is a bit different here than on Asgard." He answered.

Loki was feeling loose enough to open up thanks to the drinks… Or perhaps dare he admit, the company? The only other person he talked to was his mother and that was rare in it's own.

"So, like you sleep at certain times but it's not like here on Earth. How long is a day on Asgard compared to here?" She asked stretching out on the couch, noticing once again, how his eyes exactly matched his pajamas.

"Well, I haven't quite figured it out yet. I think weeks can past on Asgard and it's only days here on Earth." Loki stroked his chin, he hadn't really given it that much thought. Perhaps Thor would know better and they could talk about it. Despite his bitterness towards him being the family favorite, he was the only family he had here.

"Well, what I do know is I don't require sleep like you and Jane do. Thor reads while Jane sleeps. So he has told me. He said the books here are fascinating and that's how he uses his time, that or like you, looking up at the stars. Jane has a telescope on the rooftop of her place and he maps the stars people haven't discovered yet here."

Loki was sitting firmly on the couch his feet planted on the ground, one arm fixed on the armrest, the other across his lap not looking remotely relaxed. He looked more like a manikin who had been put into place. Meanwhile, Darcy was sprawled out, her feet rubbing against one other in a rhythm, something she never noticed she did until pointed out, debating yanking a blanket over herself. She was afraid to move though since Loki was divulging information about Asgard that not even Jane had shared.

"You're welcome to check out my book shelf. I have everything. From astronomy, to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, to every James Patterson novel published." She was still slurring, the fishbowl hadn't worn off and was causing her to yawn. The tequila was still pulsing through her veins, her cheeks flushed, tired but not wanting sleep.

Darcey grinned at him, at his awkward position. He clearly didn't know what to do with himself. But she'd teach him to acclimate. Or stun gun him for kicks if he refused to accept it.

"James Patterson?" Loki asked.

"Oh man. He's great, he writes murder mystery detective novels but the chapters are only a few pages long. That's the annoying part. It's like oh blood was found! End chapter. Oh a shot rang out! End chapter." She began to giggle at the ridiculousness of Patterson. His writing was interesting as a murder mystery but the shortness got her every time.

"A chapter is a few pages?" He looked confused.

"If I fall asleep go look." She snuggled up, feet now curled up under her form and gestured to her book shelf across the room.

"Mind if I take a peek now?" Loki had stood up already, not feeling the urge to sleep despite the Fishbowls.

"Go for it." She answered as he crossed over to her bookcase once again. "Hey. Loki what do you miss from Asgard?"

Loki didn't reply. Just thumbed his way through her library once more, fingers brushing against the bounds of the books. His fingers traced one of the spines of the novel, thinking of what he truly missed the most.

"Sorry. To personal." Darcy mumbled shifting her head on the throw pillow watching Loki eye her novels. It was her one splurge. Ever since Norway, books had been her escape from reality. Everything from science fiction, which Jane usually suggested just so she could argue physics at lunch with her, to romance, biopic's, comedy and murder mystery. She had even taken to the classics. She had another box tucked away, meaning to buy one more bookshelf to fill itup.

"No. No Darcy. Not personal. Just was surprised at what my answer was." He said as he pulled the book he was tracing out from the shelf.

"Well… Want to share?" Curiosity was getting the best of her.

"My mother. I miss her. She never saw me as different as my dad did. Even after what I did here at your home." He didn't turn to look at her as he responded just flipped through the book.

Darcy felt a pang of guilt. She knew she shouldn't root for the villain, to feel for him, but here she was, wishing to take away his pain and know he really did have a second chance at all this. To even make Earth his home. A few minutes went by. Loki stood stroking the spine of a book he had plucked. She drank her water she had sat on the coffee table, letting him have his moment of remembrance. A family was something she didn't miss. It was the reason why she had escaped to college and found Jane.

"I'm sure she misses you too Loki. I think it's wonderful you guys have a good relationship." She cleared her throat breaking the silence. She was expecting anything but that as an answer but found it touching.

"Thank you Darcy."

"So. What book did you find so interesting?" She took another sip of water.

Loki grinned, and brought the book he was thumbing through with him as he plopped down next to Darcy on the couch. He was more relaxed now, one leg propped up, eye's sparkling.

"The Kama Sutra. Can woman really put their legs up like this?" He turned the book towards her and showed her the picture of a woman with her legs spread eagle naked in her birthday suit with tips on how to do on the side.

Darcy chocked on her water, forgotten that the novel was on her bookshelf, mentally cursing Caroline for giving it to her for her birthday when she had been moody and Caroline blamed it on a lack of getting laid.

"I don't know, you tell me?" Darcy crocked, feeling heat come upon her face.

"Well. In my experience it's not so much the flexibility but the positioning…" He playfully teased her, loving how her cheeks had turned bright red.

Darcy quickly changed her tune and grinned wickedly.

"Take me to bed and find out Reindeer Games." She stuck her tongue out at Loki and wiggled her eyebrows.

Loki leaned in, his eyes locking onto hers, they were face to face. Darcey's wicked smile was back and she broke the gap and kissed him, hands running through his hair and sighing at how right this felt. Loki pressed against her and in one quick swoop, picked her up and carried her into the bedroom, the Kama Sutra on the floor forgotten.
