Several months has past, Taka has recovered, Mufasa days becoming King was nearing, he also told Taka he has a surprise for him when he becomes King.

Two Lions were at the exit of the cave, the rain outside covering there form. They shook the rain off of them. "Muffy! Father!"

Taka ran up and nuzzle both of them as more lightning strike. "Man that a storm." Mufasa said with a scoff.

"Luckly we have this cave to cover us dear." Uru said. She lick both of her boys cheek. "Oh Ahadi, I miss when my boys were young."

"I do too but time goes by fast." Ahadi said with a sad chuckle.

"It certainly does." Taka said with a laugh. "But don't worry, you both will always have a place in our hearts."

Ahadi and Uru nuzzle him.

6 Months Past and Mufasa going to become King in a month. Despite this he spend time with his brother and soon to be sister in law.

Taka were out at the water hole and he heard a scream. He ran and saw a Lioness, he knew who this was. "Michelle what's the problem?"

"My cub is stuck in the tree!"

Taka look up and saw the cub. "Mommy I'm scared."

"Stay there sweetie."

Taka jump on the branch and higher to make it to the cub. He learn how to climb trees in his spare time so he make it to the cub. "Sweetie hang on and do everything the Lion tells you, he get you down."

"Come on buddy."

He back up, "I can't I'm scared."

"Don't be scared, close your eyes and I promise that nothing will happen."

The cub close his eyes and came onto his back with Taka help, the tree was breaking. He jump down and land on the ground. "Is it over?"

"Yep, your with mommy now." They nuzzle each other.

"Never scared me like that again. I shall tell the Pride of your bravely Prince Taka."

Taka smile with a nod, he give her a quick friendly nuzzle. He stare at the cub, "No more climbing trees buddy mommy can have a heart attack."

Michelle laugh as she grab the cub. He pretty sure the cub learn his lesson.

The Lion wave at them and walk back to the cave.

More time past and things were good, Sarafina and Ni relax in the resting place, same for Mufasa and Sarabi. Ahadi was doing his rounds, he gone near the border and was about to turn back but then he heard laughter.

Zazu the new majordomo came and land on Taka, his mother died months ago but they gave her a proper funeral. "Prince Taka, King Ahadi had been attack!"

"Where is he?!" Taka doesn't want to lose his father.

"At the border!"

Taka ran fast hoping he can save his father. "Zazu go get the others!"

Zazu nodded and flew to the cave as fast as he could. Taka see from the edge that hyenas and jackels gaining on him. "Come on father, hang on!"

Taka ran with his speed and finally reach the border, he saw his father feeding off the two packs of animals. Taka ran up and saw the most horrifying thing he ever saw.

Zazu went inside the cave and land near Mufasa. "Prince Mufasa! King Ahadi being attack at the border by Hyenas and Jackels! Prince Taka trying to help him and he send me to tell you!"

"Oh no! Zazu fly ahead find them!"

All the Lioness ran with Mufasa. Uru ran as fast as her legs give her, she doesn't want to lose Ahadi and/or Taka.

Taka ran down with a growl, the hyenas and jackels glare at him. He got into action and begin to fight the Jackels and Hyenas, he did very well compared to Ahadi, he was stronger younger and more full of hatred.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" The Hyena Leader demanded.

They all ran out, Taka turn to see his dead or dying father on the floor. "Dad, come on."

Ahadi eyes finally open as he look up to see Taka. "Taka, I'm sorry, tell your mother and bro... brother I'm sorry."

Ahadi eyes close and he wasn't breathing. "Father, come on! Live! Ugh! Don't die! Please! You big oaf! Mom need you!" Taka knew he had lost his father, he roared the loudest he ever did before and with tearfill eyes he cried.

He heard a familier voice, "Taka, what happen?!"

He turn to see his Pride, Uru, Mufasa, Zira, Sarabi, Sarafina, Ni and even more. "Hyenas and Jackels attack him, I try to save him but it too late."

Uru bury her face into Sarabi's chest, she rub her back. "Shhh, it be okay, he always live in your heart."

Taka felt one tear out of his eye and walk away from his Pride, Mufasa notice him and said, "Taka wait! It not your fault!"

"It is Muffy, I just need alone time for a bit."

Zira and Mufasa watch as he walk away. Mufasa walk up to his dead father and look back in forth. Should he go check on his brother? Should he help the others and give respect to his dead father?

He decided that Taka may wanna be alone right now. He pick up his body, the others helping him and walk back to Pride Rock.

"We give him a proper funeral later." Uru said with tears escaping her eyes. "We have to come into terms."

"Right, I'm going to go find Taka."

"Ok. But Mufasa tommorow, you become King."

Mufasa walk off and went into search for his little brother, he call out. "Taka! Where are you?! Zira worry about you!" No answer. "Taka, come out and lets talk!" Still no answer.

Mufasa start sniffing the ground, he smell his brother. It took him 5 minutes and walk down and see a small little bound of fur inside the cave crying, "Taka?"

"Muffy! What are you doing here?"

"Zira and mom are worry sick about you. And I wanted to check to see if you were alright."

"It my fault Muffy, had I ran faster. I could've save him."

"Taka, it ain't your fault."

"Muffy it is."

"Taka you can't blame yourself. You didn't know until it was too late."

"I should have gone with him when he ask me this morning."

"Taka, father wouldn't want you to grief over him. He want you to keep fighting like you always had. Would you come out?"

Taka came out with a little grin. But not the grin the Young Prince usual had. He look down once again, "Maybe it best if I would leave."

"What?!"

"You all be protected!"

"Taka you can't!"

"Mufasa I have your training! I can make it as a rogue!"

"But what about Zira?! She love you and need you!"

"I visit!"

"Taka stay! We all love you! Your family loves you! It your choice but please make a wise one!"

Mufasa walk off hoping his brother won't leave.

Mufasa came out the cave, today the day he will become King. He look around and saw his mother sleeping Sarabi sleeping. Sarafina and Ni sleeping with each other. Zira sleeping with no Taka Mufasa felt a few tears.

"Taka. How could you do this?" He walk out and went to the water hole. "Poor Zira. What will she think? Why would you do this to her Taka? Why would you abandon mom when she needs us all? I thought you were better then this."

"I am Muffy and now I see it."

Mufasa jump behind him and saw his little brother. "Taka!"

"Scared much huh?"

Taka and Mufasa got into a hug, they tussle. "What made you change your mind?"

"I couldn't abandon you and Sarabi who love me. I couldn't abandon Sarafina and Ni who are my best friends. And I couldn't abandon mom and Zira who means the world to me next to you, Sarafina, Ni and Sarabi. Plus if I did leave, Zira would track me down and beat me up then pull me back by ear."

Mufasa imagine that and laugh, "Yeah I can see that."

Mufasa and Taka shared a nuzzle then pull back and they both walk back to Pride Rock.

Later.

Mufasa was walking out the cave with Taka who sit next to Sarabi and Zira. All the animals of the Pride Lands cheer as he stop at the edge of the rock.

"King Ahadi was very wise! He believe in his family! And always love to show respect! He unfortunately pass yesterday, may the great Kings accept him!" Mufasa pause, he felt tears escaping his eyes he kept his voice firm. "For me and Taka this is a personal loss he was our father and fresh of blood! He was a great Father, Lion, husband and mostly King! It takes a heavy heart that I must assume the throne! But we shall start a dawning of a new era and with me as King!"

All the animals cheer as Mufasa stop. "Mufasa! Mufasa! Mufasa!"

"One more thing!" All the animals stop cheering as Mufasa shot a look at Taka. "Prince Taka is not only a brave Lion! He is a hero! He save a cub two days ago from a tree that was falling apart! There no doubt in my mind he make a great father, husband, brother in law and most of all... King!"

"What?!" Taka blurted out with surprise and horror he now know why Mufasa train him.

"Step by my side brother!"

All the Lioness watch as Taka walk to his brother he saw the Lion and her cub that he save two days ago. "Thank you." He whisper and she nodded.

All the animals saw Taka was by Mufasa. "I gladly accept this honor and thank you brother!"

Mufasa and Taka nodded Sarabi and Zira walk up and went to there Mates Side.
