"Now I could be wrong, but I think we may be witnessing the beginnings of love here." Kyoya said to no one.

"Want to place a bet on that?" Kris said with her own smirk in place.

"Sure." Kyoya agreed without thinking about it.

"Being a host and getting fussed over by a bunch of girls might not be that bad. I wonder how I can pull it off. I've got it. I'll just call everyone dude and bro now." Haruhi said giggling.

"Oh sure, like that will work." Kris said as the Smith's headed out the door.

"Haruhi, your late!" Stacie said coming into the room as Haruhi walked in. The club room was decked out to look like a tropical island. Stacie was wearing a pink bikini top and pink wrap. She had her hair down with a pink Balinese flower.

"I could be wrong, but my calendar says it's still early spring." Haruhi said as she pulled out a calender.

"No your right." Kris said as she joined her sister. She was wearing the same thing, except in red. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun with a red Balinese flower keeping it in place, her blue strip had been turned red to match the flower.

"Huddling under a kotatsu table, fearing the cold is nonsense. And besides the heating system we have is the best." Tamaki said as he spun his way towards Haruhi.

"Do you have a problem with the way we run our club, Haruhi? Be careful what you say. You owe us 400 million yen, remember?" Kyoya said as he looked up from his black notebook.

"I do, but I was out voted. That's why I'm wearing this stupid thing. If it was up to me this would be black, as well as this flower." Kris said as she put on flats.

"You're pushing it Smith." Kyoya said while writing something down.

"Yeah, yeah." Kris said as she and Stacie got on stage and started sound check.

"Gentlemen don't bundle up in bulky clothing. It may be a chilly early spring out there in the real world, but here at the club we want to surprise our chilly little kittens with a warm tropical paradise. Oh yes. We've turned this place into nirvana, a balmy tropical island of everlasting summer." Tamaki said as he first opened the fan he was holding, then put an arm around Haruhi.

"That's funny 'cause I feel a massive chill right now." Haruhi said a little annoyed that Tamaki had violated her personal space. The host then went to their own areas to entertain the ladies. Haruhi had gotten the tea and headed over to Tamaki's station. Kris jumped off the stage and went to get two bottles of water for Stacie and herself, for after their performance.

"Oh yes. I almost forgot to mention to you, ladies. Next week, the Ouran host club is sponsoring a party." Tamaki said looking at the girls at his couch. Haruhi had placed the tea down and started to walk away when she heard what Tamaki said.

"We're throwing a party?" She asked looking over her shoulder.

"What kind of party is it going to be? Is it going to be formal?" Stacie said as she joined her sister.

"Yes, in fact we've rented the school's largest hall." Hikaru started.

"It's a perfect place for dancing." Kaoru finished.

"But I really wanted to spend some alone time with you, Kaoru." Hikaru said grabbing said boy's chin.

"Don't be upset, Hikaru. I know exactly how you feel." Kaoru said to his twin.

"Is it just me, or are the girls more worked up today?" Stacie asked looking at the group who were going crazy over the brotherly love act.

" No,the guests seem to be even more worked up than they usually are." Haruhi said looking away from the group.

"Showing some skin proves popular with the ladies." Kyoya said popping out of nowhere. (Does he ever have his own guests?)

"That gives me an idea. Kris can we do routine 203?" Stacie asked Kris with a hopeful look on her face.

"Fine, but you are taking lead." Kris said not wanting to be front and center with what she was wearing.

"So are you the one who came up with this tropical paradise idea?" Haruhi asked looking at Kyoya.

"I have no decision-making authority. All the club's policies have been laid out by the club's king, Tamaki. But I guess there's no harm in admitting to casually slipping a Bali photo book onto his desk." Kyoya said lookin up from his black notebook, and pushing up his glasses.

So he's the real brains behind the operation. All three girls thought looking at the Shadow King. The two Smith's went to the stage, while Haruhi went to give tea to Jack and his table.

"Sorry the song is a little late, we were having a little bit of problems with the sound systems. But, now that everything is taken care of, enjoy." Kris said as Stacie took center stage.

The girls clapped, and Kris and Stacie left the stage to take over for Haruhi. Kris was headed at Jack's table giving the girls cake, when Jack looked over at Haruhi's table.

"Five bucks saids the girls ask why Haruhi isn't dressed like everyone else, and another saids she will say something about the weather." Kris said looking at Jack.

"I'll take that bet" Jack said as he pulled out his walet. They then heard the girl's ask about Haruhi's clothes and Haruhi say 'appropriate to wear anything but early spring attire in early spring'

"Let's see, if my math is right you owe me about 1012 yen." Kris said as she held out her hand.

"It's 1011.50 yen (I used a conver so I don't know if this is right) thank you very much." Jack said as he handed over the money.

"So I rounded up so sue me." Kris said as she walked away.

Later, after Host hours

"Hey boss, why don't you stop eating that commoner's ramen and come over here to help us with the party planning?" Hikaru started looking at Tamaki. Every one expet Tamaki were around a Kyoya and his laptop. Everyone was back in their uniforms.

"Does it really bother you that princess Kasuga has taken a liking to Haruhi?" Kaoru finished.

"He shouldn't be surprised. She's had the illness for a while now, hasn't she?" Kyoya said not looking up from what he was typing.

"What illness?" Haruhi asked looking at Kyoya.

"She's got the host hopping disease." Hikaru said as he went behind Kyoya.

"AKA never-the-same-boy-twice disease." Kaoru said poping out from his brother.

"Shouldn't that be the other way around." Kris said looking at the twins.

"It doesn't matter. What is the host hopping disease?" Stacie asked looking first at Kyoya, then at Jack.

"Usually, our customers choose a favorite host and see them regularly. But, sometimes the girls will jump from host to host. That is the host hopping disease" said Kyoya.

"I wish all my customers would get it and leave me alone." Jack said under his breath. The only person to catch it was Kaoru, but he deiced not to say anything.

"However, princess Kanako tends to change her favorites on a regular basis." Kyoya continted.

"That's right. 'Cause before she chose you, she was with Tama-chan." Hunny said coming to stand between Kyoya and Haruhi.

I wonder if they expet me to dance at this party. I mean I can, I just rather not. I rather wear pink then dance at the party, and that's saying something. Hell I don't even want to go. I don't have anything to wear. Oh great shopping. I take that back I rather wear pink then go shopping. Maybe I can ask Stacie to go shopping for me. I mean we do wear the same size. Kris was pulled from her thoughts by Stacie placing money in her hand.

"It's the money I owe you, Tamaki blew up her picture." Stacie said before Kris could say anything. Smirking, Kris put the the money with the her other winnings. She turned back to the group.

"The more I look at this picture, the more amazed I am. How could this possibly become that?" Hikaru said looking at Haruhi's picture and thinking about how she looked when she started the host club.

"The day before school started, someone got some gum in my hair. It's a real pain to get gum out of long hair. So I decided to cut it all off. I didn't care if I look like a dude, you know." Haruhi said looking at Tamaki.

"Hey, I said I was sorry, I even help you cut your hair." Kris said going to Harhui.

"Wait, if you just tranfered." Hikaru started

"How did you get gum in Haruhi's hair?" Kaoru finished.

"Long story stort, we found a place to live before we moved to Japan." Jack said at the red heads.

"Girls should never refer to themselves as a dude. Momma, Haruhi's using those dirty boy words again." Tamaki said a little annoyed that no was paying attention to him.

"I'm sorry, but who is momma?" Stacie said looking around the group to see who would fit the bill.

"Based on club position, I assume it's me." Kyoya said while looking at the blone teen having a breakdown. Kris and Jack looked at each other, then burst out laughing.

"Are you done?" Stacie said as she saw her siblings whipe away some tears. After noding yes, they turned back to the group.

"Look, I don't see what you're crying about. Working as a host, I can pay back more of my debt. It'll never happen if I'm just an errand boy." Haruhi said looking at the crying person next to her.

"She's right you know. Can I work as a Host too, that way I can get out of this hell hole faster?" Kris said looking at Kyoya.

"No, you have your brother working as a host, and your sister working with you. You debt will repaided faster then Haruhi's." Kyoya said pushing up his glasses.

"Hate to change the subject, but do you have formal dancing experience? You'll need it at the party." Hikaru said looking at Haruhi.

"Uh... no. But the party doesn't have anything to do with my quota, right? I'm not interested in going to events, so if I could be excused..." Haruhi said worry was written all over her face.

"Make that two of us." Kris said looking at the King.

"Definitely not. A refined gentleman must know how to dance. If you want to live the life of a host that badly, you're going to have to show us how far you're willing to go, Haruhi. I order you to master dancing the waltz in one week and you will demonstrate it for us at the party. Or I'll tell the entire school that you're a girl and knock you back down to an errand boy. The same goes for you as well Smith's, or your quota will be doubled." Tamaki said first facing Haruhi then to the Smith's.

"It's a good thing I know how to waltz, we all do." Kris said looking at Tamaki.

"How does a commoner like you know how to waltz?" The devil twins asked.

"Our mother made us learn. She wanted us to have different interes then making music. So, she made take formal dance and self-defence. We then had to chose an activeity of our choice, as long as it didn't invole music." Stacie said looking at the group.

"If you knew how to dance Kris-chan, then why didn't you want to go?" Honey asked grabbing Kris's handes.

"Well, it's not really my thing. Well that, and I didn't want to go dress shopping." Kris said looking at the small teen. At her response the the whole host club, expet Haruhi and the Smiths, were laughing.

"You don't have to go shopping for dresses. The twins always comes up with what we wear." Kyoya said closing his laptop and standing. "I thought that was obious when we gave those outfits today."

The next day

Kanako was teaching Haruhi to waltz, with Tamaki sitting in the window still, watching them with a gloomy look on his face. Kris, Staice, Jack, Hikaru and Koaru walked in. At that moment Haruhi made a wrong move, causing her and Kanako to fall on the floor. Kanako put her arms around Haruhi's neck, as she tried to get up.

"Why are you in the emo corner?" Kris asked Tamaki when she saw him.

"I bet it's because he wanted to be the one Haruhi practices with." Hikaru said looking at the male in question.

"I think you may be right. But he's way too tall to stand in as a woman." Koaru said looking at his twin.

"I think you two should take a break." Staice said to Kanako and Haruhi. "How about I bring you some tea?" Upon getting a nod from the duo she went to get their drinks. She came back moments later holding a green tea cup and placed it on the table next to Kanako and Haruhi.

"Thank you so much for allowing me to practice with you. I really appreciate it." Haruhi said as she pulled out Kanako's chair.

"Oh, no problem. I heard that you're not seeing any customers today so that you can practice dancing. I'm glad I got to spend this time alone with you." Kanako said looking at Haruhi. Not knowing what to say, Haruhi just stood there. "Oh, my! This is a new tea set, isn't it? It's Ginori." Kanako said looking into her tea cup..

"Ginori?" Kris said looking at Kyoya, who came out of the shadows.

"You have a keen eye, mademoiselle. In fact, we just received them yesterday. We decided that it was about time for the club to upgrade its tea sets." Kyoya said looking at the group.

"I see. What a pretty color. Lovely." Kanako said picking up the cup to get a better look at it.

"You must really be into tableware, huh?" Haruhi said looking at Kanako. Tamaki took notice in the far away look in Kanako's eyes. "Not really, I mean no, of course, I'm not. Whatever would give you that idea?" Kanako said flushered. She looked around to see if anyone had caught her lost in her memories.

She obviously knows a lot about it. Why would she lie? Haruhi thought looking at the girl.

"Hello? I'm here with the new tea cups you ordered." a male around Tamaki's age walked in. He looked like a normal student, expcet he was wearing a cream color sweater. He was holding a box. Upon hearing his voice Kanako froze.

"Ah, thank you very much. Every item that you've chosen for us has been extremely popular with the ladies. I'm quite impressed." Kyoya said looking at the the male. Kris grabbed the box from the male. She then handed the box to Jack, who took the box to the back room.

"Well, that's good to hear." The male said looking at the group.

"So, do you sell tea sets?" Haruhi asked the teen.

"No, I'm just a regular student. Can't you tell by the uniform?" He said with a small laugh.

Not really. Kris tought looking at him.

"Oh Haruhi, you're so funny. I can't blame you for not knowing. After all, he doesn't really look like an heir to a first-class company." Kanako said looking behind her at the male.

"First-class company?" Staice asked looking at Kyoya.

"His family's business, the Suzushima trading company, deals primarily in the importing of tableware. They currently have the top market share in the country." Kyoya said looking at the clipboard he was holding. (for once it wasn't his little black book)

"Wow!" Haruhi, Kris, and Stacie said at the same time.

"So whenever something exceptional comes in, we've asked him to send it our way. He has a great eye for fine china. Dont' you, Suzushima?" Kyoya said looking at Suzushima. While Kyoya was talking Kanako and Suzushima shared a look together. It seemed to go un-noticed by everyone around them.

"You think? I've still got a lot to learn, but thank you." Suzushima said looking a bit sheepish.

"Aren't you leaving next month to study abroad in England?" Kyoya asked him.

"Yes, I am. Well, I better go now." Suzushima as he walked out of the room.

"So, are you enjoying the host club?" Tamaki asked Kanako after Suzsuhima left.

"I get the feeling you and that guy are kinda close." Staice said looking at Kanako.

"Don't be ridiculous. We hardly know each other. What makes you say that, Haruhi? Now, if you'll please excuse me. Take care." Kanako said as she got up and left the Host room.

"Five bucks saids she knows him." Kris said looking at Stacie.

"No way, that's a sucker's bet. You saw how she acted, she knows him." Stacie said looking at her twin.

"Haru-chan! Guess what? They do know each other. Suzushima is Kasuga-chan's fiance." Hunny said as he jumped onto Haruhi's back. At that moment Jack came back from the back and was standing next to Stacie.

"See. And it's worse because she's going to marry him." Stacie said with a smirk.

"Kyoya, how long have you known about this?" Tamaki asked he acrossed his arms, and looked at the black hair male.

"About the two of them being engaged? Well, as you know, I conduct general researches on all of our customers. The two of them were childhood friends. It seems their engagement was arranged by their parents. I didn't think the information would benefit us. So I disregarded it." Kyoya said as he pulled his little black book out of no where and looked at it, then at Tamaki.

"I see." Tamaki said looking at Kyoya.

"Toru Suzushima. Outstanding grades, fair social status. He's ordinary looking. But he's reliable. If I had to fault him for anything..." Kyoya said looking down at his book again.

"He doesn't have much presence." Hikaru said poping up next to Kyoya whit his tiwn on the other side.

"And he's faint-hearted." Kaoru said

"So, in other words, he's boring." Kyoya said closing his book.

I had no idea they were so merciless toward other guys. Haruhi thought looking at the three boys.

They're just like girls, if not worse. Thought Kris.

"Suzushima is a good boy, right?" Honey said from his seat on Mori's shoulders.

"Yeah." came the reply form the older boy.

"All right, everyone. We'll have to work on our strategy." Tamaki said with a sundden serious look on his face.

"Which one?" Everyone in the room asked looking at Tamaki.

"Men, it is our responsibility as members of the elite Ouran host club to make every girl happy." Tamakisaid looking at each of them.

"Unles you aren't counting Stacie, Haruhi, and myself, and I hope you're not, there are three women in this room." Kris said looking at the blone teen before she walked out of the room.

Before the party

The Smiths and Haruhi had just got done putting on the clothes the male twins gave them. Stacie came out of her changing room wearing a purple ball gown that had a slit on the left leg that went all the way to her hip. The top of the dress was a hoter top. There was a black butterfly right at where the slit starts. She wore matching shoes.

"Wow, you they have some real taste." Stacie said looking at her self in the mirror.

"For once I have to agare." Kris said as she stepped out of her changing room. She was wearing the same thing as Stacie but her's was black. The butterfly had been changed to a drangonfly and was blue. She was wearing black heels to match. Both girls had their hair down and not wearing any make up. Hikaru and Koaru had insteaded that they do it for them. At that moment the other twins entered the room.

"We are here to ..." Hikaru started.

"Make you look good." Kaoru finished as the brothers pushed the girls into some chairs and got to work. Hikaru started to work on Stacie as Kaoru went to work on Kris.

"Hloy crap, check this out Hikaru!" Kaoru said as he held up Kris's red strip of heai. The only difference was that it had came off of her head.

"Kaoru, you ripped out her hair." Hikaru said as he grabbed Stacie's hair.

"I didn't mean to. It just came out." Kaoru said freaking out a little bit.

"Hey thing 1 and thing 2, calm it comes out it's fake, see." Kris took the fake hair from Kaoru and showed them the piece that clipped into the hair. "I have it in all colors, though I wear the light blue the most."

"Thing1?" Hikaru started.

"Thing 2?" Kaoru finshed

"It's from a popluar children's book in America. The Cat in the Hat" Stacie said as Hikaru curled her hair.

"Yeah, it even got turned into a movie." Kris said as Kaoru cripped her hair. Nothing was said as the twins finished.

At the Party

"It is so good to see you here tonight, my little lambs. The Ouran host club would like to bid you welcome." Tamaki said as the all the Host lined up. All eight of them (Kris and Staice were with the band) bowed to the girls.

"As always, ladies, the host club members are here for your entertainment. So we invite you to dance to your heart's content. Based on her dancing skills, one lucky young lady will be chosen as tonight's queen. The queen's reward will be a passionate kiss on the cheek from our king." Kyoya said addressing the ladies who had gathered for the event.

"Good luck to you, my darlings." Tamaki said as he winked at the girls. Which sent the girls into a frenzy.

"Haruhi, show some enthusiasm." Hikaru and Kaoru had said when they caught her look. Haruhi didn't look happy about being there.

"Well, excuse me, you guys. Sorry. I'm not used to this sort of thing. I've only ever gone to the festivals held in my neighborhood park." Haruhi said a little bit over welmed.

"I know what you mean, Haruhi. I know what you mean." Jack said as he mirrored Haruhi's face expression.

"I don't know if you can really consider that a party or not. Well, since you're already here, you might as well get yourself something to eat. We've got quite a spread." Kyoya said as he wrote something in a green book. (For once it isn't black)

"A spread? With fancy tuna?" Haruhi asked.

"And Hoshigaki?" Jack added. (Dried Persimmons, Persimmons is a type of fruit)

"Fan-" Honey said from his favorite seat.

"-cy..." The devil twins said.

"...tuna? Get some fancy tuna here right now." Tamiaki said as he rushed to Haruhi's side. The twins had Haruhi in a group hug.

"Add some deluxe sushi." Kyoya said to his phone.

"What about the Hoshigaki?" Jack asked not getting an answer he walked started to walk off. As he walked past the twins, Kaoru grabbed his arm.

"It's on the table. It's my favorite." Kaoru said as he let go.

"Thanks." Jack said as he walked off. The night wore on, and most of the host were dancing the night away. Jack on the other hand was at the refresments table refusing to dance with the girls. Stacie and Kris walked around and talked to the girls who were not dacing.

"Hello, Haruhi. I've been looking all over for you. Do you think maybe I could have the next dance?" Kanako said as she as she found Haruhi, who was taking a break.

"Yeah. Of course you can." Haruhi said as she offered her hand to Kanako. At that moment all the host, and the smiths shared a knowing look. When the pair made it to the dace floor. Haruhi was whisked away by Mori. Leaving a confuesed Kanako behind.

"Princess may I have this dance?" Tamkai asked coming up from behind her.

"What happened to Haruhi?" Kanako asked

"We had a small problem that only he could fix in the host room. Don't worry he will be back soon." Tamaki said as he started to dance with her. At that same moment, the Smiths found their way to the stage where the band was. Once the song was done Kris took a microphone and called for attention.

"All right ladies it's not quie yet time to crown the queen. A few weeks ago, when Jack had started hosting." Kris pointing to Jack, who joined her in the spotlight. At that moment Kanako and Tamaki left the room. "There has been a lot of requests for Jack to Jack sing again. Well ladies tonight you get your wish!" Kris said as the whole room went wild.

"Yes." She replyed as she placed her hand in his. The host club, as well as their guests watched as the couple danced.

"And now we'll announce the queen of the ball." hikaru said as he comes up behind Tamaki with a banana peel in his hand.

"Congratulations, Princess Kanako Kasugazaki." Kaoru said poping up next to his brother. He was also holding an empity banana peel.

"And for her reward, a kiss on the cheek from the king..." said Hikaru.

"You ready?" Tamaki said as he posed.

"Haruhi Fujioka will stand in for Tamaki." Kaoru said taking everyone but his brother, Kris, and Jack by sprise.

"Hey Jack, ten bucks says something is going to go wrong with the kiss." Kris whispered when she saw that the twins were no longer holding the peels.

"Kyoya did say that a little accident towards the end of night might make even more thrilling for everyone." Hikaru and Kaoru said together.

"It's just on the cheek, right? You should accept it. It will commemorate your graduation from host-hopping." Suzushima said looking at Kanako who was torn bewteen what to do.

"Yeah see." Stacie said as she kissed Hikaru on the cheek. (He was standing next to her)

"If you do it, we'll cut your debt by one-third." Kyoya said with his book out and ready.

"Well, it is just a peck on the cheek." Haruhi said as she made her way towards Kanako

"Hey, you don't think this is Haru-chan's first kiss, do you?" Honey asked.

"What? Wait, Haruhi!" Tamaki said as he ran after her. He didn't get far before he slipped on a peel and pushed Haruhi. The pushed caused Haruhi to kiss Kanako on the lips.

"You're not as innocent as you seem, are you?" Jack said looking at the smaller teen. Jack as he reached for his wallet.

"Just wait until we gat home." Kris said looking at her brother, as she grabbed Stacie and went off to change. When they got there, Stacie saw a note on her folded clothes.
