I really never understood when an author said that they suddenly go an idea at an unusual time of night or morning but now I do. I made my sister come into my room at almost 12 in the morning so I could bounce ideas off of her. Now I understand that inspiration has no inappropriate time.
"I DON'T OWN SHUGO CHARA."
…
"I look like a real princess." Amu said to herself as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her dress was floor length and long sleeved. The upper part of the dress was black and it tied in the back, with the help of her mother. The rest of the dress from the middle of her stomach down was the same color as her eyes. Her shoes were just simple black lace up boots that came up to her knee though they couldn't be seen. She had on light makeup which was just some eye shadow, blush and lip gloss. Her mother said that her hair would look best down so Amu decided to curl it.
Her mother smiled at her excitement. Amu had to admit her mother looked stunning as well. Midori wore a purple floor length dress that was very simple yet elegant. She also had own the same amount of make up as Amu as well. Amu giggled to herself when she remembered her mother making her father wear a tie the same color as Midori's dress. Ami also look quiet adorable with her light pink ruffled dress on with a big bow in the back. Ami dress didn't reach the floor though. Hers reached her knees then she wore white shoes with white laced socks. Instead of makeup, Ami had a pink bow in her hair that matched her dress.
"Technically you are a real princess sweetie. You're a princess of both the Guardians and Easter." Midori said to her eldest daughter.
"Speaking of that, why did we come to the Guardians instead of the Easters?" Amu asked as she twirled in her dress again.
Her mother and father both froze at her question. Her father was the one who decided to answer her question though. "Easter tends to be a lot less forgiving as the Guardians are. Loyalty is everything to the Easters."
Her father looked as if he wanted to say more but Midori looked at the clock on the wall. A look of panic came onto her face. "If we don't leave now we will be late and the king hates tardiness."
…
"Now introducing the Hinamori family" a servant said as the family walked down the aisle to sit at the dining table.
Amu was impressed be the size of the table. Though there were only seven people sitting at the table to eat, the table could sit at least a hundred. At the head of the table was a man who Amu realized was probably the king. Next to him on his right sat a beautiful blonde woman. Across from the blonde was Tadase. 'Well at least we now know where Tadase gets his looks from' Amu thought to herself as she looked at the blonde haired woman that could only be Tadase's mother. It seemed as though the children were supposed to sit on one side and the adults on the other because Amu's mother and father both sat next to Tadase's mother. Amu decided to sit next to Tadase and Ami sat next to her sister. Amu looked at the king and saw that he was smiling though she could tell it was fake.
"It is wonderful that the Hinamori family is dining with us tonight isn't it dear" the king asked his wife.
His wife smiled a smile that was so sugar coated that it made Amu cringe at it. "Simply wonderful honey" she said.
The rest of the dinner went without words. It was a very uncomfortable silence. When the servants finally took up the plates from dessert, the king spoke again. "Tadase, why don't you show Miss Amu and Miss Ami the garden while the adults talk business?" Though it was supposed to be a question it came out more as a demand.
"Yes, father." Tadase replied then he and the two girls walked out of the room.
"I am also feeling quiet tired myself. Please excuse me as I head off to bed" Tadase's mother said.
When she left the king looked at Midori and Tsumugu. Seeing how the king was not going to break the silence, Midori decided she will. "What is the matter of business that needs to be attended to, your majesty?"
"Please just call me Akio. You and I both know you almost have the same rank as me. You would have had the same rank as me too if you had stayed to marry me. Alas that is not we are here for though" Akio said.
Midori narrowed her eyes knowing that Akio was about to do something sneaky. "And what would be the reason why we are here, Akio?" she asked.
Akio smiled. "That would be quiet simple actually. Amu is required to marry Tadase"
…
As soon as the words left his step-father's mouth, Ikuto stormed out of the room. He walked into his bedroom while cursing the elder man's name under his breath. Ikuto's room was surprisingly clean for a teenage boy. Plus everything in his room was the same shade of his hair or black. What he wasn't expected was his little sister sitting on his bed.
"What the hell are you doing here, Utau?" Ikuto yelled at the blonde.
Utau rolled her eyes at her older brother's temper. "I just wanted to talk to you."
"Well I don't want to talk to you." Ikuto was usually very cold towards his sister because when they were younger the girl was literally in love with him. She had seemed to grow out of it but Ikuto didn't want to take any chances.
Utau faked pouted at the blue haired boy's rude words. "And here I had information on the girl that Prince Tadase is going to marry."
That surely got Ikuto attention. "How did you find out about that?"
"I know a lot of things, big brother. Plus Kazuomi can't keep his mouth shut."
Ikuto gave a sour look at his sister. "If you aren't going to give me the information on the girl then leave."
"Pushy, Pushy, I heard that she was the daughter of the prince that ran away with the princess of the Guardians sixteen years ago" Utau said while examining her nails.
Ikuto glared at his sister. "There is no way that the Guardians will let their prince get married to a traitor's child. Plus their daughter would be half Easter. They will probably marry Tadase to a higher up girl since the Guardians don't have a princess anymore. Now since your information was useless you can get out of my room." As he spoke to his sister he slowly pushed her out of the door. She looked as if she wanted to protest but Ikuto shut the door before she could.
…
"What do you mean Amu has to marry Tadase?" Midori asked the king.
Akio spun the wine around in his glass. "I mean what I say Princess Midori. Your daughter is to marry my son when they turn eighteen. This way we can make sure you stay loyal to the Guardians this time. If you don't agree then I might have to see to it that Amu's back looks like yours Princess Midori."
"But she is half Easter" Tsumugu said.
Akio smirked at Tsumugu "The better to gain her loyalty to the Guardians now. We wouldn't want the Easters to corrupt her now would we?"
Tsumugu gave Akio a hated look. "The Easters aren't as bad as you put them out to be. They are exactly like the Guardians."
Akio gave Tsumugu an amused look. "Really now? If you speak so highly of them why don't you take yourself and your family over there" Akio smiled when he saw Tsumugu look at the table. "Oh. That's right. If you were to step foot on their land they would most likely kill you on sight. Now never speak of Easter as if they are on the same level as the Guardians. Unlike them we are the good guys."
'Sure the good guys force a girl to speak to her lover because he is of a different group' Midori thought to herself. She sighed then looked the king in the eyes. "Does Amu have any say in this?"
Akio gave a look of disgust to Midori. "Did you have a chose in when you were supposed to marry me? No she doesn't. She is to either marry Tadase or have scars on her back for the rest of her life. And trust me on the night before their wedding she will be a lot more guarded than you were. So what do you decide for Amu?"
Midori hated herself whenever she nodded her head, sealing her daughter fate. Though she didn't know that the end of this story was going to be exactly like hers with a little more distress and a lot more hardship.
