Two Months after Gale's shooting:

I jump out of the Hovercraft and land on the soft grass outside the training center. We had exactly two hours till we had to be back to the ship, before they could stop us we rushed the building. Immediately I ran to the elevators; three of us got in the lift. I smashed the door over the buttons in the elevator and pressed the unmarked button that went to the basement. Gale, I, and Boggs all stand in silence as we descend into the basement of the training center. As the doors open we all step out searching our surroundings. I take lead while Boggs and Gale flank me heading towards the torture chambers. I can hear the screams as we approach.

"Target found." A voice comes in on the headset.

"Take the guards and grab the girl," replies Boggs.

Coming up on the door the screams emanated from we hear footsteps running towards us. Two Peace Keepers emerge around the corner and are met with two arrows each in the chest. I turn around to see Gale and Boggs unlocking and breaching the room.

When I enter the room everything is white, including Peeta, who is in the middle of the room tied to a bed. When he looks at me he almost loses it and I remember I remind him of Katniss. Immediately I leave and put on the smart wig I have for emergencies, its a blonde wig tied in a pony tail that reaches past my lower back. When I walk back in Peeta is fighting his restraints and yelling at us,

"NOOOOOOOO!" he screams, "DON'T HURT ME!" His screams break my heart reminding me of the small girl who was here before him.

"We have to sedate him." Calls out Boggs.

"How are we going to carry him up there then?" asks Gale annoyed.

"Easy you both carry him, and I'll shoot anyone who comes within ten feet of us." I reply aggravated.

We hall Peeta up to the Hovercraft, in the Hovercraft we strap him down to one of the Hospital beds. Next to him is Johanna.

"Johanna?" I ask worried?

"Who the Fuck are you? Some Capital Piece of Shit? Well, there's nothing left of me, LEAVE ME ALONE!" She screams the last part slamming her head to the table. The medics who came with us grabbed her shoulders and neck, stopping her from further harm. I ripped off my wig and came into her view of sight.

"Catherine?" Was her last words as she lost consciousness.

District Thirteen

As we approach the medical bay Peeta starts to stir from the sedatives. Boggs leaves us to take Annie to Finnick and tell Katniss and Haymitch that Peeta is here. Gale is stiff with tension. I grab his arm.

"You alright?" I ask, waiting for his answer.

"Yeah, just don't know what will happen now." I hear the fear and desperation in his voice but let it go.

Just then Katniss and Haymitch come down the hall to meet Peeta, I pull back on my blonde wig.

"Why?" Katniss asks.

"So he knows who you are and not me, He has gone through some things Katniss so his memory may be a little frayed.'

All I got in response was an "Oh" then she walked through the door to his room. Doctors were checking him out pointing light in his face, he looks so disoriented I felt bad then I he stood up abruptly and walked to Katniss. She ran to him arms extended, and then I saw it the rage, fear, and resentment as he reached for her and her throat. Grabbing her with all his strength trying to crush her throat. I ran up behind him and smashed the back of his head with the heal of my pistol. Katniss fell to the ground unconscious and un-moving. The only sign she was alive was the slight movement of her chest going up and down.

Hour later:

I sat next to Katniss' bed stroking her arm waiting for her to wake up. She has an oxygen mask over her mouth helping her breath. All the doctors say she is lucky and should be better by next week. Boggs tried to reassure her that most of his men usually succumb to such force, and she is strong for holding on for so long. But, I know her, and I know that she is becoming more depressed. The man she loves just tried to kill her and she doesn't know why. I wanted to be mad at Peeta but I couldn't, I knew exactly what he was going through.

I let go of Katniss' hand and immediately walked out of the room. I had to get to my room before I lost it, my hands started to shake as I got closer but still to far away.

Once inside my room I succumbed to the madness. My vision blacked as pictures of my home burning came to my mind, then images of my family dying, Gale soon joined and I didn't know why. A deep aggression came into my blood forcing my to do something, feel something. I smashed the room I was in, my vision returning only so I could see what I destroyed. Then the urge to flee overtook my body. I couldn't resist another second I had to leave get in the air, the woods were my only option.

I ran past everyone and everything. No one stopped me the knew I could not be stopped.

I breathed in the fresh air as I got out of the stupid compound underground. I ran past the training rookies, past the training fields and fence. I ran to my place in the woods the only place I could be. No on could get to it or even knew where it was.

I sat in my tree calming down but images still flashed in my field of vision.

"Catherine?" Gale's voice yelled out, startling me I fell out of the tree. Damn, my episode made me vulnerable. I cursed myself for not staying vigilant, "Catherine!" His voice was stronger and grabbing me by the arm to help me up of the ground. I flinched away from him and backed into the tree. Terrified, I stumbled around the tree squeezing my eyes tight. I didn't want to see the images of Gale dying anymore, or of Katniss be choked to death. I sunk to my knees trying to hold back the tears but like always they came.

Tears dripped down my face as I choked on the screams that wanted to overtake me. Then his strong voice came through, he became the rope that would pull me out of my dazed state.

"Catherine, I'm here relax, relax, shhhhhh don't cry. It's all gonna be ok." He sounded so sure that when he reached out I latched on to him. I came too after a couple of minutes of hiccuping. I dreaded what he would say, mostly what he would ask.

"Catherine what the hell was that?" His question was the only thing that terrified me at that moment, how would I explain this one?
