Jeeeeeez I haven't posted in like a year. Sorry. Really sorry. This chapter was just lying around and I thought why not just finish it and post it?
OH! One more thing, I feel like this is gonna turn into a slash/smutty kinda fic. I'm not really sure about it but some of the stuff in this chapter can lead to that sort of stuff. So uh, yeah…
The Head Girl and Boy dormitories were not far from the entrance hall. A few quick turns and two hidden passageways and you find yourself in front of a supposedly blank cobblestone wall. On the wall next to it, there is a lantern with an ominous blue flame that never burns out.
This specific blue flame could easily detect the Head Boy or Girl and would tell the stone wall to move. The wall would slide smoothly and easily as a revolving door and behold the scarlet Common room.
When Lily and James were first brought to this wall, they had been instructed very specifically by Professor McGonagall that "only Heads and prefects are permitted to be within the Common Room" and should she find any other human being in there she would have the Headship revoked immediately.
James gave a slight smile and asked McGonagall the nicest he could, "But why Professor? Why can't we bring in our friends or close acquaintances? Shouldn't we be allowed to see them?"
The professor merely placed a stern look on her face and said- as calm as physically possible- that, "Being a Head of the school is an extreme honor, Mr. Potter. It is also, however, an extreme privilege. Should you exploit this privilege, by any type of manner," -James smirked- "...then I assure that the Headmaster will be hearing about it. You may, however, go and visit your friends in the Gryffindor Common Room. I promise you I have no problem with that." Then she turned abruptly and walked away quickly and swiftly from their presence.

Lily woke up to the sound of barking and crashing. The friendly type of woofing that would usually wake up just about anybody in the area. She rolled over and buried her face against the mattress and under the fluffy pillow. Somebody tell that dog to shut— "POTTER!"
A sudden realization struck upon her and she scrambled out of bed as fast as she could, grabbing her wand from her nightstand in the process, and whipped open the door. It took a while to register what she was seeing.
James Potter running around with an enormous shaggy black dog. They toppled over the couch and rolled around on the floor, wrestling to see who was stronger. Sweat and determination glistered on James' face. The dog was panting but when into each roll with great enthusiasm. Lily for one was completely shocked as she stared the two of them, but finally came to her senses when the dog started to nibbled James' leg.
"POTTER! What is the meaning of this?"
James looked up and then ducked as the dog flew over him and landed on a lazyboy, "Hey Evans. Just having fun, you should try it some time." He stood up off the carpet and dusted off his clothes.
Lily scoffed at his casual approach to the situation, and stomped over to him, "You have a dog in the Common Room, McGonagall specifically said— MERLIN'S BEARD THERE'S A RAT!" She jumped up a mile and landed on the couch behind her, starring in awe at the little critter running around on the floor, "J-J-James... t-t-there's a rat..." she pointed in fear at the rat who had finally realized he was getting some attention and stood up on his back legs to look at Lily.
James leaned down, picked up the rat and placed it on the arm rest next to Lily, "It's okay, he won't do anything." He patted the rat's head with two fingers.
Lily looked at the animal in disgust, she hate rats and mice and was completely terrified of them... what was it doing here? The dog barked.
"Potter," she stood up and ran her hand through her hand a bit, trying to compose herself, "Why is there a rat and dog in our Common Room? McGonagall told us not to bring anybody in here but prefects."
"But they aren't anybody!" The dog bit James' hand in disagreement, and the boy chuckled, "I mean, they are just animals. There's nothing wrong with them being here."
"Well, you guys were causing a lot of noise! How am I suppose to sleep with you guys running around like that?"
James shook his head, "You shouldn't be sleeping now Evans, we got class in twenty minutes. If anything, you should be thanking us for being your own personal alarm clock!" He nodded and his glasses slid down his nose. The dog barked as if agreeing. The rat just twitched a bit.
Lily gasped, "Twenty minutes? Shit!" She had completely lost track of time, how could she forget? She was Head Girl for Merlin's sake. She glanced down at her striped pajama pants and groaned, "Shit shit shit, okay. Potter! Get the dog and that god-forsaken rat out of this room right now! I have to go change and - crap I won't have time for breakfast." She jumped up off the conch and bolted up the stairs to her room. It was the first day of classes and she was already behind on schedule. She pulled on her clothes so fast she wasn't even sure if they were on the right way. Grabbing her school bag and wand she ran back downstairs into the Common Room, digging around for a spare cereal bar in her bag.
"Uh, Lily?"
"What?" She didn't look up, but located a berry flavored bar and began to unwrap it, "What Potter?" She took a big bite of the bar.
"Lily your…"
"Did you get rid of the animals?" She surveyed the room looking for any more rats.
James nodded quickly, his eyes were transfixed on her and he was blushing madly, "Yeah, they're outside. But Lily you uh… you might wanna cover up a bit."
"What?" Lily looked down and nearly choked on her Very Berry Nutro Bar. Her shirt wasn't buttoned, the side of her skirt was caught in her underwear and her socks… oh my goodness her socks were just bunched up against her Chucks. Her tie wasn't even on! She let out a small whimper and quickly began to button up her shirt, "Potter I swear…"
"I'm sorry!" he raised his arms in defense, "I thought I should tell you before you walked out of here where the whole school could see your sherbert boobs."
"MY WHAT?"
"Sherbert boobs! Your bra makes your boobs look like balls of sherbert." James turned even more red than before and quickly averted his eyes. For God's sake…
"They do not! And don't look at my boobs!" She pulled up her socks and tied her tie. How the hell did he get the impression of sherbert? Jesus… "Look I don't have time for this, I've got to go." She picked up her bag and was just at the door when she felt a tug on the back of her skirt.
"You might wanna fix this too." James untucked her skirt from her underwear. Lily could feel him right behind her, his breath was warm and tickled the back of her neck. His hand brushed the back of her leg ever the slightest and her knees nearly buckled. She could smell mango gum and fabric softener. Color ran straight to her cheeks as her skirt fell down to the proper position. His presence was never this great to Lily. The cotton shirt was just touching the back of her shoulder. And suddenly she was aware of his hands coming up to hold her arms. He was strong but handled her gently. His hands were calloused making goosebumps run down her arms. She turned around softly and gazed up at him, through the glasses and right into the soft brown eyes. He was so close and his arms were around her and his breath smelled good and oh my goodness Lily snap out of it!
She backed away and her shoulders hit the wooden door. Her free hand grasped desperately for the handle, "Thanks…" she found the handle, opened the door and rushed into the small stone tunnel as fast as possible. Just before the door shut behind her she could hear the boy's voice say, "Anytime."

The stone wall slid away and Lily stepped out cautiously into the arching hallway. Sunlight exuded from the tall windows leaving patterned squares on the stone walkway. The shaggy black dog that had been in the dormitory was sitting politely underneath one of the windows. Lily stared at it for a few seconds and it stared back and rolled its eyes. What? Lily wasn't even sure if dogs were allowed to roll their eyes but this dog just did. Magic dog, she walked away in the other direction, still trying to shake the feeling of James from her shoulders.
