Hey guys! Welcome to the fourth chapter! Sorry for not updating for a little while but I've been caught up with things and am not the most dedicated writer sorry! Anyways, Let's start!

Chapter Four – Waking Up

"Lt. Colonel Murphy: Report to Fleet Admiral Linton Immediately" I heard the ship's A.I – Zeal Amethyst over the comms aboard the Vulcan Raven. The Raven is one of the many Frigates aboard the Infinity.

Once I got to the Admirals Station Zeal flicked to life and gave me a proud look. Zeal was a 'Dumb' A.I and his Avatar was a purple man with markings over his body similar to Cortana's and he held a spear. Zeal was the A.I programmed to control the ship.

"You're here! Good." Linton said as I approached him.

"I've seen your skills improving Murphy, and I think we could put them to better use." He continued

"What do you propose?" I asked
"Who's in command of your Fireteam?" Linton asked

"Commander Hawkins, Sir."

"Yes that's him. He'll be organised into a new Fireteam"

My eyes widened "What?! Why?"

"You'll take his place." Linton said.

"Wait, you want me to command an entire Fireteam?! I'm flattered sir but I still think that-"

"I think that you're fit for the job Spartan."

"But sir-"

"No buts Murphy, you should feel happy that you get to lead others into battle alongside you. Into Hell alongside the rest of us." Linton said.

"Do you agree?" Linton said holding out his hand.

"Yes Sir." I said taking his hand and shaking it.

"Fireteam Foxtrot: Report to Fleet Admiral Linton Immediately" Zeal said.

Murphy's POV

I woke up with a bit of a headache, but I've suffered worse – a lot worse.

I had that feeling that when you wake up you forget where you are, I looked around and saw all the strange furniture and walls all made of cloud. I then realised where I was. "Oh God, that wasn't a dream. I really am in some crazy world out of some kid's imagination!" I then got out of bed and walked to the door. I reached to open it and saw my hoof 'still gotta get used to having these' I thought 'How the hell would I still use a gun? MA5, M6.. I can't use those anymore.. Damn.' I finished daydreaming as I almost fell down the staircase I was standing at the top of. "Woah, that would have turned bad." I said as I started to walk down the stairs. 'Better not act like that around the others. They'll ask questions. And that's the last thing that I want.' I got downstairs and a foreign smell was coming from the kitchen. 'I hope that's bacon! Oh wait, Ponies are Herbivores.. Damn it.' I approached the kitchen and saw Rainbow cooking.. Something on a stove and humming? I cleared my throat. "Good morning Rainbow!" "Ahh! Oh, Hi Swift. You kinda scared me I barely heard you! How did you manage to sneak up on a Pegasus like me?!" Rainbow asked a little curious for some reason. "Why does that amaze you?" I asked "Because most Pegasi have better hearing than other ponies, It's something we're born with." She replied. "So you're surprised that I managed to sneak up on you because of your 'enhanced hearing'?" I said.

"Pretty much" Rainbow replied.

"I'm trained in that sort of thing Rainbow. It shouldn't be that much of a surprise." I said. "Oh, right." The rainbow-maned pegasus replied.

"What'cha cooking?" I asked.

"Oh just hay bacon and toast." Rainbow said "You want some?" She asked.

"Hay bacon? The hell is that?" I said bewildered

"You guys don't have hay bacon? Jeez you've been missing out this stuff is great!" Rainbow said with a big grin.

"Rainbow, Humans are Omnivore's." I said.

"Omni-what?" She said confused.

"sigh"I facepalmed. "We eat both plants and meat."

"Oh." She said looking a little disgusted but it wasn't the kind of reaction I was expecting.

"You don't look as uhh.. Disturbed as I thought you ponies would be finding that out." I said.

"Well I had a friend who ate meat as well." Rainbow said.

"A Pony who ate meat? How's he not dead?" I said.
"Not a Pony. A Griffon." She said.

"You're kidding. So first I find out that this is a magical world full of ponies and monsters in a forest and now you're telling me there's Griffons?!" I said.

"You have Griffons where you come from?" Rainbow asked

"No! They're a myth! As well as most other things you and the others have shown me in this world! Pegasi, Unicorns even Griffons! They don't exist! Gah this must be some kind of dream! But it's not.." I finished taking a seat at the table nearby. "I'm the only human here, well human trapped in a pony body! My home is probably being destroyed as we speak!" I buried my face in my hooves but I didn't cry. I wouldn't let myself cry.

"You alright?" Rainbow asked.

"Yeah, yeah I'm alright, I'll have some of that 'hay bacon' please." My stomach grumbled when my brain thought of food.

"Sounds like you need it." Rainbow said getting a plate ready.

"Here." She said putting the plate in front of me.

"It looks.. Strange." I said.

It was strips of fried hay. Hence the 'hay bacon' name for it. It's exactly the same as bacon just no meat – just hay.

"Well, are you just gonna stare at it Swift? Or is my cooking really that bad?" She said faking a hurt look.

"Well, Food is food." I said taking a bite out of one.

"Mmm! That's surprisingly tasty!" I said with a look of approval on my face.

"Ha! I knew you'd like it!" Rainbow said.

It tasted rather foreign but I still enjoyed it. I expected it to be like burnt grass but no, It has a taste that I can't really describe or compare to.

After breakfast I thanked Rainbow and said that I had to go to Twilight's.

"You sure you don't wanna do any more practice for flying?" Rainbow asked.

"Nah, I'll be fine." I replied "Just make sure no one takes my bag okay?" I said.

"I wouldn't bet on it, that thing's really heavy! I bet nopony could lift that! Even me!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"Hehe alright then, I'm gonna go see ya!" I said heading for the door.

"Bye!" Rainbow said waving her hoof.

I opened the door just to be welcomed by bright sunlight and not to many clouds in the sky. 'Nice day, unfortunately I'll be staying inside with Twilight having lessons on what the hell Equestria is like. Oh this is gonna be a long day...' I thought as I free-falled down from Rainbow's house until I got close enough to the ground to start gliding down. 'I think I'd rather keep my.. Hooves on the ground, then I can get my P.T run over and done with.' Since I didn't have any bags with me I couldn't load them up with anything heavy to take on a run so I just jogged towards Ponyville. Also while singing the infamous UNSC marching song a little more quiet than a shout since I had no one else with me.

"Helljumper, Helljumper, Where you been?"

"Feet first into hell and back again!"

"When I die please bury me deep!"

"Place an MA5 down by my feet!"

'Don't you cry don't shed no tear!"

"Just pack my box with P.T gear!"

"'Cause one early morning 'bout zero-five!"

"The ground will rumble there'll be lightning in the sky!"

"Don't you worry don't come undone!"
"It's just my ghost on a P.T run!"

While running through Ponyville I got a few strange looks from some ponies but not from all of them, most of them just ignored me. 'Twilight must have told them I was coming.' I thought. Once I got to Twilight's tree-house-thing?

Wow that thing's impressive. Wonder what it's like on the inside? Anyway, Once I got to the front door I knocked on it only to be greeted with a smiling Twilight.
"Hi Swift!" She said.

Well Swift better prepare himself for a long day! I hope you enjoyed this chapter as I haven't updated in a long time. I'll start writing more chapters in the coming days. Tomorrow's ANZAC day ( Feel free to PM me if you're curious as to what that is ) so it's a public holiday meaning I have more time to write! See you all later!
