Barnaby and Kaede were having lunch together when she told him her plans for her upcoming wedding (the planning thereof being the reason why they were just having lunch instead of their usual dinner). She was going to have a Western-style wedding with her father down the aisle and a program for the guests. The mock-up she was showing him wasn't anything terribly special—it had the usual (maudlin) quote about love, some sort of schedule, and a "who's who" of sorts. Somewhere between noticing that he was included under "parents of the bride", asking Kaede if she was sure about that, and receiving an affirmative Barnaby decided that today was the best birthday he had ever celebrated.
