SOPHIA
"Kay Ria, I'll be sure to call Mother when we get there and I will definitely hand the phone over to her when we see him."
" You absolutely must Soph!" My older sister replies sternly over the phone.
"I got you. I got you." I tell her repeatedly.
"...okay then. I have to leave now. I have an appointment with my publisher. Good luck, Sister. To you and Selena."
"We won't need it. Instead we'll give our luck to you." I say with love.
"Thanks" she says. "Love you. Bye"
"Love you too and bye!" I cheerfully reply and end the call. I turn my head to the left seeing my gloomy sister wearing her dark sunglasses to cover up the major headache she's having, her golden wavy hair cascades down the see-through, black shirt she's wearing , and unfortunately my sister is in a pissy mood right now. Though I am questioning why she is even wearing those sunglasses in the first place. We're riding in a stark tinted limousine. The sun rays-let alone the sun- can't penetrate through these windows!
"Ria wishes us luck." I inform her.
"So I've heard." She speaks with a mumble. I roll my eyes at her. The reason why she is acting like this is because of hangover from last night's "Booze-Ra!" at Kevin's house. Selena is such a party girl, but that is my twin for you and Britain certainly loves her for that.
My phone rings a few tones to alert me of a text I have recieved. I unlock the screen using my pin number and pull down the notifications bar to press on the text. It is from President Lory or "Prez" as Selena and I like to call him. I read the text. Surprised somewhat at this spontaneos change in our location to meet/reunite. It said,
Change of plans. Head to LME.
I quickly tell the driver in Japanese the new location to set us off at. The driver nods his head and swerves the limo harshly, making Selena bump her head on the window and me gripping on my seatbelt for dear life. The driver apologizes, explaining that were we just about to take a turn and would have nearly missed the route to LME. "It is alright." I forgave him in English with a smile. The driver blushes a bright pink and looks away from the mirror above him. I giggle but is interruppted by Selena's groaning.
¨What the f%#*!¨ she says. ¨Why are we moving away from Prez's house?¨
¨Well, if you were listening to me when I informing the driver-¨ Selena waves her hand at me. A sign that she wants me to shut up now. I'm pissed off now. However, I cannot do anything about or even argue with her because I know she'll kick my ass. Even more than she already does.
You got that right, Sister.
Get out of my head Selena! I shout at her.
Only when I feel like it.
My left arm jerks up and whacks Selena on her nose. Selena's head pushes back against her seat. The sunglasses slip a little to reveal two violet eyes glaring me down.
Bitch!
Well I am your twin, Selena. I retorts.
Although I know my sister wants to get at me, she can't because she still has a hangover and her head is killing her. So instead all my darling twin can do is push her sunglasses up and shut it. Yay for me having an advantage!
We arrived at LME a few minutes later. Our limo driver politely offered to drop our luggage off at Prez's house. I thank him genuinely for his offer and in return the limo driver blushes madly.
"Have a good day ladies." He says as he drives off, leaving me and sister standing on the curb. I wait until the driver turns a corner before walking inside LME. However my sister isn't as considerate as me and is already walking through the doors. I run after since she seems to know where she is going. Also too, whenever I'm in public people tend to stare more at my sister than me. Probably because Selena is always wearing the most revealing clothes. For example, her wardrobe today consists of a black, long sleeved, see-through shirt with a bright red lace bra under. If that isn't revealing enough, Selena is also wearing a plaid, black miniskirt(no shorts underneath! )to go with it! Thankfully she had the common sense to wear her red converse instead of heels. Otherwise my sister would've appeared as an escort. Ah!
When entering LME I expected to see an abundance of aerobic dancers and strange decor in the lobby. Surprisingly there isn't anything of the sort. Instead there are white arm chairs set against one wall, a coffee shop on the other side where many people were lined up, and the interior seem to be a part of a normal office building rather than a entertainment agency owned by Prez. Just by observing the workers here I'm wondering if sister and I are even in the right place.
"Um I'm gonna go grab some coffee." Selena informs me while pointing to the coffee café .
I try to protest against but she walks away before I can even speak. Leaving me stranded in the lobby of a building that is giving me the creeps. However, it is better to find Prez's office than standing here whining.
Head towards the elevator. I'll meet you soon. Selena says. My head twirls around, searching for the elevator that she spoke of.
What are you talking about? What elevator? I ask her, practically lost.
The one right behind you! Selena yells with irksome.
I turn around to see the magical elevator that wasn't there before. A sigh leaves my red lips for I am dumbfounded as to how I missed a fricking elevator!
Most likely I missed it because I was still panicking at the fact that I have to find my own way to Prez's office. Ugh. Why did-
Sophia! Just get on the elevator dammit. The doors are opening up so get in there before it closes and you have to wait!
I flinch at Selena's scolding, but she is right. I have to stop panicking and catch that elevator! My legs make a dash for the doors and adrenalin starts pumping through my veins.
My will is determined to not let those shiny gray automatic walls close on me! But maybe fate has another idea because then the elevator doors starts to close. I try to run faster but it is kinda hard to run in high heels! My only option right now would be to do something incredibly embarrassing but helpful. Or maybe I can throw my purse at the people inside? It would-Ugh, there's no time debate this. It's a now or wait! And I definitely do NOT want to wait out in the open.
So without another doubt in my mind I take a deep breath...
SELENA
Hi. I'm Selena Inihara and right now I am having a MAJOR headache. Not because I attended a "Booze-Ra" hosted by my friend Kevin last night, but cause I'm waiting in line to get some f❌cking coffee and the woman at the register is taking to damn long! Like f❌ck! How long does it take to order some coffee?! I have been standing for the past 15 minutes and she still has not ordered! B❌tch, hurry up!
As you might have guessed I am a bit like a cussing sailor. Okay maybe not a bit. I am like a swearing sea wanderer. If you take offense to that I'm sorry, but seriously f❌ck off. Nobody likes haters as cliche as it sounds.
However back to our picky customer at the register who I really, really want to punch right now still HAS NOT ORDERED! I sigh with irritation and decide to channel my anger to my phone. Most precisely, the new gaming app called, "Versus The World". It's role-playing game and as boring it sounds, it is an awesome app to play.
Presently I'm role-playing a character known as Miaka, a priestess from a forbidden kingdom venturing out to claim power, whether it is good or bad, that is up to me.
Power is power. Only the beholder can be pure or not. Supremacy is only-
"STOP THOSE DOORS!" A familiar voice screeches across the room. I turn my head slightly to see my twin dashing towards the closing elevator. Sophia's hand is reaching out-as if by doing that she can stop the elevator- and her light blue dress flows behind. With her raven hair bouncing elegantly. I don't really know how she does it but Sophia can always manage to look graceful no matter her actions. Even when she panics like she is now, anybody can be dazzled by it. What amuses me though is the fact that my sister has absolutely no idea the amazing talent she has. But that's what makes her so cute
"Someone stop it please!" My sister screeches again. She's closer to the elevator and luckily someone inside did stop it. Sophia slows down and calmly walks inside, I notice her cheeks are pink which means her asthma is acting up. Oh sh❌t! I hope she brought an inhaler. If she didn't, I have one in my purse right now. Maybe I can-
Before I could put my words into actions, Sophia makes eye-contact with me. Her lips pull into a reassuring smile.
Don't worry.
My twin says as the elevator doors push to a close. I sigh a relief. Thank God she's okay but damn her at the same time! Sophia knows perfectly well she can't even breathe after one lap of running. Her body can't take it!
I'm fine!
Really?!
Yes, I swear, Selena don't worry!
...
I'll see you soon.
Sure...
Okay see you soon.
