"Well done, but you need to control your breath more so you can reach those higher notes, and you really should try and use " Rachel said knowingly to her only daughter.
"Mom, I've been taking voice lessons from you since before I could speak, I know what I'm doing!" Caroline said, picking up her water bottle, and taking a sip.
"You'll never be a star with that attitude honey." Rachel said, looking very serious.
"Would you just get off my back mom? I've been practicing my song like a million times, I know what to do. I know when to do vocal runs, I've got it down."
"Okay, calm down, I'll leave you to it, but can I ask you one thing?" Rachel asked, raising her hands in defeat. Caroline turned and looked her mom in the eye and nodded. "Are you really going to wear that to your audition?" Caroline scoffed, and walked out of the room and down the hall. She saw her brother Finn sitting on the sofa, texting away on his phone. She looked around for Danny and her dad, probably out back throwing a ball around or something. She walked into the living room and sat next to Finn.
"Who are you texting, bro?" Caroline asked, looking at her big brother. He was only ten months older than her, so they were pretty much best friends. He looked at her and smiled. "No, you are not texting Troy again" She whispered. She was the only person who knew about Troy and Finn's relationship because Finn came home one night, maybe a month before, a little drunk and told her. He regretted telling her straight away because Troy didn't want anyone to know about what they had going on.
"He was the one who text me first today. He asked me to give him a ride to school. He doesn't want to go with Nate and Nevie because they're making fun of him, didn't ask why, just said I'd pick him up." Finn said, looking at his phone.
"Are you two gonna get all mushy and touchy in the car on the way?" Caroline inquired. She didn't want to see that. Sure, she thought Troy was super cute. It was the dimples. But she didn't want to see him get all PG-13 with her big brother.
"Obviously not sis, I have more self-control than that" Finn said with a wink. Caroline rolled her eyes. Her brother was just like their dad. He knew he was hot, and played on it. Only difference between Finn and Noah was Noah had had a different girl every other day, whereas Finn was still a virgin, and gay. And he had only been interested in two guys his full life- Troy Evans and the secret crush Finn had always had on Jared Lynn, Ryder and Kitty's oldest son, who was 7 years older than Finn. Jared used to babysit Finn, Danny and Caroline whenever Noah and Rachel went out to dinner, and Finn always was a sucker for brown eyes.
"Well you better not, I don't wanna see that!" Caroline laughed and walked out the room and went to get ready for the first day of school.
Outside in the backyard, Noah and Danny, the oldest Puckerman kid, had just finished throwing the football around. They were sitting on the grass talking. Noah was away on business a lot of the time, so when he was in town, Danny always wanted to spend as much time as possible with his dad.
"So, Danny, are you gonna audition for glee?" Puck asked, while picking up his bottle of water.
"Probably not. I know you and mom met in glee club, but I just don't think it's for me." Danny said taking a sip of water.
"Well I think you should. You've got a great voice and your mom would probably have an aneurysm if you don't join. You know what she's like."
"I wouldn't even know what to sing dad."
"I've got a few ideas, hows about we go inside, grab my guitar and sing something you could audition with?" Noah said standing up, holding his hand out for his son to get up. They went straight into Rachel's practice room, where Noah picked up his guitar he left in the room for occasions like this. "Okay, I'm pretty sure you know this song. I sing it all the time."

"Okay, so now you've got a song, are you gonna audition?"
"I'll think about it dad, but I gotta run, I'm gonna be late for school" Danny ran out of the practice room and bumped into Rachel, who was obviously listening at the door. "Mom, I love you and I will see you tonight!" Danny kissed her cheek and ran down the stairs and out the house, and into his car. He noticed Finn's car was gone, so he probably already left with Caroline.
In the car on the way to pick up Troy, Caroline and Finn sung a couple of songs that came on the radio, and spoke a little bit about glee club auditions. Since she knew she was going to be running slightly behind, Caroline had text her cousin Oscar and asked him to sign her name up for glee club. Soon the pair arrived at the Evans house where they saw Troy slamming the door shut and walking to the car, very red faced.
"What's wrong pretty boy?" Caroline asked, looking at her brother's secret boyfriend. He glared at her and turned to Finn and smiled.
"Hey, thanks for giving me a ride dude. I was gonna kill myself if I had to ride with Nevie and Nate." Troy joked as he put his seat belt on.
"You know it's no problem dude" Finn said, looking in the rear view mirror, and winking flirtatiously at Troy. Caroline saw it and rolled her eyes, and turned to look out the window. The drive was pretty silent the rest of the ride, and when they got to school, Caroline ran off to meet Oscar to discuss the auditions, leaving Troy with Finn. "So when do you think Daemyn will get in?"
"No idea dude, he'll probably already be here-his dad is the Principal and his mom's the Guidance Councillor" Troy said, looking around for Daemyn Schuester. They met up with Daemyn fairly quickly, and signed up for Glee club auditions then the bell rang and they had to go to class. The rest of the day was fairly quiet for them though, until lunch when Finn, Troy, and Daemyn met in the choir room to practice.
"So guys, this audition is in like 2 hours, and we've got like no practice in yet. I think we should do a little warm up performance together just now- get us all pumped for the real thing" Finn said excitedly.
"Sure, I'm in." Daemyn said, smiling brightly.
"Whatever." Troy said, not as enthusiastic as his friends. "What song did you have in mind?"
"Well I was thinking Mr Brightside by the Killers. What do you think about that song?"
"Let's do it!" Daemyn smiled as Finn pressed play in the music.

"Dude, I gotta say, that was freaking awesome!" Daemyn said laughing. He looked at his watch and realised he had somewhere to be. "Well guys I've gotta go- somewhere to be, you know how it is."
With that, Daemyn left the pair alone.
"We're alone now. It's lunch. Wanna make out?" Finn said as he wrapped his arms around Troy, who rolled his eyes and smiled at his man.
Elsewhere in the school, Caroline was sitting listening to the 25th Anniversary soundtrack of 'Wicked' that Rachel is featured on. She was so engrossed in the music, she didn't notice the blonde boy come up behind her, until he wrapped his arms around her. She jumped and spun around, looking at the guy she had been secretly making out with for the last 2 weeks- Daemyn Schuester!
"What are you doing? Someone could see us" Caroline said, slapping Daemyn's hands away.
"I've missed you though. And it is lunch time and you did say that we could make out at lunch last night when we spoke on the phone."
"Well not here, in front of everyone. We'll go to the auditorium to one of the boxes and make out. Come on." She said, grabbing his hand and taking Daemyn across the school and into the auditorium where they made out until the end of lunch.

Okay, so this is technically not part of the update but I felt that I needed to put it onto this chapter. Okay firstly, thank you to everyone who submitted a character, and thank you to those who have reviewed the story so far. I would like to also say a special thank you to three amazing people on this site- PucktanaFanForever, BabyGleeFan11 and SaintSparkle without whom I would not have been able to get this story started. You three are brilliant and to quote a very wise man-Barney Stinson- You are Legen-wait for it-dairy...Legendary!
Secondly I would like to take this time to dedicate this entire story to both of my Grandmothers who have sadly passed away this year. They were such a great inspiration to me and they helped me out with so much over the years. They always supported my decisions, and were my biggest fans. I love and miss them so much.
So I would like to introduce a character that is going to be a recurring character(Becky Jackson style)
Her name is Mary-Kate O'Brien. She is a 15 year old freshman, who is in the drama club. Her celebrity look-a-like is Laura Marano.
She is the first recurring character I have in the story(out-with the main cast)- which leads me to the next part. I would like to re-open the story for 2 weeks from today, so it closes on the 7th of December at 23.59. It will re-open for recurring characters who will be like Becky Jackson, Karofsky etc. but will also be for the Warblers and Vocal Adrenaline members.
