Translator's notes:
Alright, here we go again. Sorry that I'm lagging, things got extremely bad in my personal life; I can't give details, but I will say that it was a very strange summer, a lot of which I spent in bed. I went through a lot of changes in pace, but things are looking up now, so I'm starting to translate again. A huge thanks to everyone who reviewed, especially Milagros (who by their username I can tell is bilingual) for pointing out my mistake with "atrasarse," my go-to dictionaries didn't mention that definition, so I'm going to make that revision soon. Many, many thanks, Milagros, and to everyone else, this gives me the confidence to keep translating (and with Sire and PikAshley's style, that's not an easy task). Again, please remember to review/favorite/follow, I'll have my notes and points of difficulty at the end of the chapter in case anyone has anymore questions or mistakes to point out. On with the show!
Author's notes:
Just like every 20th of the month, here is a new chapter of 30 Days!
._. In the previous chapter I mentioned that reviews were like our pay for writing and you certainly didn't lower it very much XD. Such is the world where no one wants to pay for anything. (?)
But nonetheless, we give our hydroelectric kisses to:

Finally, here's the new chapter of our soap-fic 30 Days With You…
How will Ash and Misty's third day as husband and wife turn out?
This chapter is especially for ArmandoAaron, since it's his birthday ^^
30 Days With You
Chapter Four: Day 03
That night, both trainers slept so deeply that they woke up thanks to their body clocks, and not an alarm clock. They stretched their arms, said their "good mornings," and then went downstairs to eat so that they could catch the ferry for the Sevii Islands.
However, when they got downstairs, what they saw surprised them so much that it that left them frozen in the kitchen entryway. Delia was wide awake, making breakfast and humming a song like nothing was amiss and yesterday's strain on the household had disappeared.
"Good morning, Misty, dear!" she greeted, motioning to the table, where they both took their places to enjoy the delicious breakfast that she laid out in front of them. "Since you're both leaving, I wanted to make sure that you both had plenty of energy for the trip."
"Thanks, mom!" Ash said, taking a piece of toast and spreading some jam on it.
"Excuse me, but," Misty said, looking at Delia somewhat timidly. "Are you feeling OK?"
"I feel marvelous!" she said in a cheerful tone, her sarcasm obvious. Ash and Misty looked over at each other and sighed. "And remember to drink your milk, it's good for you!"
"Alright…" she said, trailing off. She had to shake her head to clear the paranoid thoughts that were starting to pop up.
"Well, I guess you guys are all ready to go," Delia said. Ash and Misty looked at each other again, and then looked at his mother and gave a nod. "Daisy's coming with Tracey to take you to the port."
"Awesome," Ash said in response, taking another piece of toast. "This is good, mom."
As he ate, Delia just looked at him, smiling. For Misty, something just wasn't adding up. However, the sound of Tracey's Jeep's horn interrupted her thoughts. Delia left to answer the door, and when Tracey came in, he raised his arms and said the last thing either of them wanted to hear.
"Congratulations to the newlywed couple!"
Misty looked over at her sister furiously, but the blonde girl simply blew her a kiss from behind her boyfriend.
"Tracey," Misty began as she passed her glass of juice to Ash, which had been blocked off with a piece of toast, "this is nothing to be congratulatory about..."
"Well, I've always wanted to say that to you two. I knew this was going to happen one day, but I never quite expected it to happen like this..." At that, the whole room went silent. Tracey smiled and then faked a cough. "Well, are we ready?"
"Yep," Misty said, tossing back the last of her milk before leaving to get the suitcases.
"Hey, wait!" Ash called as he followed after her. "Let me help you!..." They disappeared behind the bedroom door, leaving the other three downstairs extremely confused.
"Since when has Ash been such a gentleman with her?" Tracey asked, motioning to the stairs. He didn't get an answer, the two women only stared in surprise.
Meanwhile, Ash showed Misty the contents of his suitcase, specifically some of the more fragile things that could be broken by her brute force.
"It's so pretty," Misty said, taking the Pikachu figurine made of glass into her hands, which was about the size of her palm.
"I know, they gave it to me when I went to my first conference," he said. "It's very important to, but I don't have a box for it, so I'll in between some of my clothes."
"OK, got it," she said, smiling and handing him the figurine. "Don't worry about calling me careless or clumsy," she added, faking resentment.
"Alright..." he said in response, trailing off as he closed his suitcase and took Misty's bag. "I'll carry your bag so you can see just how good of a husband I can be, and then maybe you'll regret divorcing me."
"Oh," Misty gasped, bringing her hands up to her chest, as if she were heartbroken. "I know I'd never be able to take that, I might just die..."
They both burst out laughing. Misty took their vests and then opened the door for Ash, letting him through to carry down the suitcases.
"What happened?" Ash said as he came down the staircase, noticing the three people in the living room were still in the same place as they were before.
"Are you guys OK?" Misty asked, not getting an answer from them. "Tracey?"
"Huh?" Tracey shook his head and looked at his friends. "Alright, let's go."
The ride to the dockyard was so silent that Ash and Misty knew that something was going on in their mutual friend's head, and that he wasn't just sighing because of the looks he was shooting them while driving. He looked at his watch, and then pulled the car over.
"Guys, is there nothing you want to say to me?" He turned a bit to look at Misty, who was sitting in the backseat.
"Other than the fact that we don't know how we ended up married?" Misty asked. "I don't think so."
"How long had it been since you hadn't seen…?" Tracey had to cut his question short, unable to figure out how to phrase it.
"Well," Ash said as he moved a bit to look at Misty and then at Tracey while he gave a response. "We hadn't seen each other for about five months."
"It wasn't even four! The last time we saw each other was at that party Dawn threw in Sinnoh!" Misty reminded Ash, giving a gesture with her right hand. "Remember? Things got just a bit too crazy for me..."
"Oh yeah, I remember that," Ash said, snuggling back into his seat as he started to laugh. "Things got so crazy that we ended up kissing each other."
"Don't remind me!" Misty shouted, interrupting Tracey from his thoughts. "I still want to kill those girls that put only our names in the drawing!"
Ash laughed at Misty's expression, and then they both quit their reminiscing and looked over at Tracey, who looked as if he were doing mental math.
"Tracey?..." Ash muttered. Tracey jumped so high that he nearly hit the roof of the Jeep. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah," he responded. He shook his head and started the car again. "I was just thinking about something." Ash and Misty gave each other a confused look and settled back into their seats to finish the drive to the port.
When they got there, they walked towards the ship that would take them to the islands just south of Kanto. Tracey hugged Misty, and then hugged Ash, leaving the two completely frozen.
"Be very careful, guys. Bon voyage, and Misty, take good care of yourself and eat well," he said, before turning on his heel and heading back to his car. He pressed his forehead into the cold metal of the door.
"You see?" He had said to Daisy, almost muttering to her. "Ash went for the suitcases! It's so she wouldn't be doing too much lifting! This is only making us think that they really got married because Misty's pregnant, and they're putting on a whole show for us, that way we'll believe it without them realizing."
"Really, they're making me worried," Tracy murmured, lifting his head off the car and then getting in. "I only hope that they can handle their responsibilities wisely and decisively."
...
On the ferry, Misty and Ash were guided by a sailor in a white suit with blue detail to the room they'd be staying in for the two day trip to Knot Island, where Ash's first conference would be taking place.
They set their suitcases down, and Misty fell back with a bothered sigh onto the bed she'd be sleeping in. 'What if Tracey thinks I really am pregnant?'
"Its says here that lunch starts at twelve," Ash said to her, bringing her out of her thoughts. "Do you wanna go get some sun?"
"Yeah," she said, "I'd like that." She opened her bag, took out her green bikini, and then stepped into the bathroom. Ash decided to change in the room, finishing before she got out.
The redheaded girl had taken off her clothes and was tying her top when she noticed that that brown spot between her breasts had turned green. 'What in the hell did I do with Ash that night?' She shut her eyes, trying to remember what had happened, but she didn't remember anything, except for stealing a strawberry from in between Ash's lips. She turned and leaned against the sink, her right hand on her forehead. 'Oh, what had they done? Where had that bubbling potion taken them to?'
She gathered her clothes into her hands and left for the bedroom, where Ash was adjusting the band of his blue swimming trunks. She stood there stunned, staring at him (before he got noticed). She ran her gaze up and down, and then started to understand why she lost all of her shame while under the influence. Ash wasn't the most handsome man in the world, but his looks were just right for her tastes. Out of nowhere, her throat went dry. She breathed in and slid her tongue in between her lips to try and calm down a bit. When she exhaled, Ash and Misty noticed her there, and that was when Misty noted the marks that Ash had on his shoulder. Feeling even more embarrassed, she moved towards her bed to set down her clothes.
Ash looked at her without saying a thing, noticing that she was nervous for some reason, and asked himself if she really were sick, since the others were asking her that she eat well. The view of her that he got from the rear didn't make him feel like she was getting too thin or showing any signs of being ill.
"Why are people asking you to eat well?" His question caused the gym leader to tense up so much that he began to think that she indeed was getting ill. "Is something wrong?"
"No, nothing's the matter," she said without looking back at him, looking for something in her makeup bag to cover up that hickey that was reminding her of the life-changing night.
"Everyone's acting like you're sick or something, but I think you look pretty healthy." Right after saying that he wanted to bite his tongue. The redhead spun around and gave him a look so deadly, he decided to back away slowly and leave the room… before he'd be turned into Gyarados food.
Misty flopped down on her bed, frustrated, after seeing how Ash had fled the room. She brought her hand to her stomach and sighed. Could it be possible? According to her cell phone's calendar, this was the ideal week for her to become a mother.
"Only two more weeks..." she said out loud, trying to convince herself that as soon as two weeks had passed, her period would come and everything would be fine again. Because if it was anything she was thankful for, it was that she was regular. And if her period didn't show…
She took her blouse, put it on, and then underneath her breasts hid a small cushion. She turned and looked at the mirror in the corner.
"Hmm…" She looked at herself from all possible angles. "I don't look good with these proportions..." Although she was lost in thought, as soon as she felt the door to the room open, she whipped the cushion out from other her breasts so fast that she smacked the young trainer who entered square in the face. "Ash!" she exclaimed, stunned at how hard she'd smacked him. "I'm sorry."
"I just came to tell you that they're ice cream samples handing out ice cream samples in the lounge..."
"Ice cream!?" Without a doubt, the expression on Misty's face changed completely. "What are we waiting for!?" She stepped past him and grabbed him by the hand to go in search for the ice cream. It wasn't gonna eat itself.
While the redhead devoured plate after plate of ice cream and pie, Ash joined in, but instead attacked the salad bar. Without a doubt, when it came to food, they had no trouble.
"What's good is that this ice cream was made with milk," Ash remarked to Misty, who let down her plate of brownie and vanilla ice cream that she was devouring to look at her husband out of the corner of her eye. "What?"
"Talk to me about milk again and I'll shove this whole plate in your mouth," she threatened, putting both hands on it.
"OK…" he said, putting both hands up to get some distance between the two of them. "I'm just saying, everyone was talking about it so much that I thought you needed something..."
"What I need is some peace!" she shouted, making him jump back.1 "That's why I'm down here!"
"Eating ice cream?"
"Yes. I'm only here because of the ice cream!" At that answer, Ash got a weird taste in his mouth. He decided to ignore his friend and keep eating his salad. When they finished, they didn't have any room left for lunch. So, they decided to walk around on the ship and to enjoy the sea breeze and the sun that was beating down on their heads.
By the time evening came, Misty had separated from Ash to watch the sunset on the deck. And it did look so romantic...
For the first time since everything had happened, Misty felt disappointed in herself. Even though she had always been a romantic dreamer, the thought that she was living out such a strange kind of honeymoon just didn't seem to fit into her life at large. It was clear that the man she was married to had been involved in her fantasies, but not like this. There wasn't any romance, there wasn't any tenderness, and most importantly, they weren't in love with each other.
Something made her lower her gaze to her arms, which were resting on the handrail of the deck.
"I'm so stupid..." she whispered, clenching her hands into fists. "How did I end up like this? Hiding away in a new region with Ash so nobody would talk about me getting married drunk..." She lifted her gaze and ran the fingers of her right hand into her bright orange bangs. "I want to go back to the way things were..." and with that, as if it were a flashback, she remembered the voice of the elderly woman at the fair in Viridian City.
"If it sinks, the exact opposite will happen."
She sighed and focused her gaze on the sun, which had almost completely slipped below the horizon.
"Another day down, Misty," she said to herself. "And only twenty-eight to go."
"Misty!" Ash's voice made her turn around. He raised his arm to get her attention, "We need to find a manager!" Something puzzled her so much that she sighed and decided to leave her train of thought. She walked over towards Ash.
"What happened," she asked when she got to him.
"They said they'll be waiting for us in the room." They both went off. When they got there, the manager informed them that they'd have to change rooms.
"Wait, what!?" Misty shouted in anger upon hearing the change that was made.
"Your reservations were changed last night at the last minute. We've just reviewed them, please excuse the inconvenience," the crew member said with a bow.
"But, why did our room get changed?"
"We were asked for a honeymoon suite. We've just finished getting it ready."
"No!" she shouted, shaking her head back and forth. "I refuse to change have my reservation changed."
"We're sorry, but this room has already been taken. The people staying who will be staying in it got on during the stop this afternoon. They're waiting now to take the room."
"Come on, Misty," Ash said, trying to cheer her up, even though he also felt pretty uncomfortable about the honeymoon suite thing. "We have to change rooms, there's not much we can do."
"But Ash!" She looked at him to argue, but something in the brown-eyed trainer's eyes paralyzed her. The sense of responsibility that he had was very clear to Misty. "Alright, we'll change."
…
When they got to the top floor of the ship, they discovered a kind of luxury residence inside. There was only one other room across from theirs.
Misty was scared to see what could be lying in wait, so she closed her eyes while the manager opened the door to the suite. A heavy breath from Ash made her open her eyes, and she saw what was inside. A queen-sized bed, just as she'd imagined it, with rose petals spread all over the white comforter, flowery decorations, fruit, and a bottle of champagne.
"For God's sake!" she groaned. "What is this!?"
With some embarrassment, Ash bid the manager farewell and walked into the room with both of their suitcases.
"Who was crazy enough to do this!?" she groaned again.
"According to this sheet," Ash said as he let down the suitcases and started to read the sheet that she supervisor gave them, "Lance changed our room at the last minute as a..." He pressed his lips shut at what he'd just read.
"What?" Misty shouted, almost hopelessly. "What does it say?"
Ash gave a heavy sigh, trying to undo the knot that forming in his stomach.
"Lance giving us this room... as a wedding present."
"A what!?" Misty couldn't believe it. She raised her arms in exasperation. Pikachu had jumped up onto the bed, and was trying to say something to the young woman to calm her down. "What, Pikachu?" she said grudgingly, making Ash's glance hit her. "What is it? Don't you understand?" The mouse shook his head. "Well, it turns out I got married to your trainer, and since then, one bad thing after another is happening to me, and I can't take it anymore!"
"And you don't think it isn't to me?" Ash said, clenching his fists.
"I'm absolutely sure that my sister and your mother told Lance that we got married when he called the house! How in God's name can they not keep their mouths shut!?"
"Maybe you should do the same," Ash responded, stunning both Misty and himself.
"What did you just say?"
"I think you should stop whining so much, because in case you haven't noticed, I'm also pretty bothered by all of this."
"Well, how am I supposed to know if you're not saying anything?."2
"Well, if I'm not saying anything, why does everything have to be OK?" Ash argued, clenching his fists, trying to cool down the volcanic anger building inside him, which was trying to escape and tell his friend how he really felt.
"I should have let the elevator go up without you, or pretended that I never knew you existed!" At that, she left Ash completely petrified.
"OK..." he muttered, and Misty then realized she'd hurt him with that. "...you know…" he sighed before continuing. "My name isn't the only one on that wedding booklet, I'm not the only one at fault here, and I'm only one side in this conflict. It really hurts me to see the egotistic being that you turn into when we run into problems. Maybe I would have even accepted this marriage if I would have married the Misty that I cherished and loved, and not this lunatic." And with that, Ash turned on his heel and walked out, leaving the gym leader alone, with Pikachu going after his trainer.
Misty thought over what had just happened. Perhaps she'd been focusing too much on her own feelings, and she was forgetting that Ash had also been dragged into this mess. And yes, she was there, it was because Ash wanted avoid a bad moment; the same bad moment that had just
had.
"...I don't want you to stay here alone. This is causing too much conflict in the family. If you stay here, word's going to get out about what happened, and it's just going to be too much to take. We're going to end up hating each other, and I don't want that. When this month is over, I want us to stay the best of friends, like always."
"Can we really, Ash?" she asked herself, falling back onto the bed. A knock on the door made her sit up again. "Yes?"
"Good evening, may I come in?" The voice of a grown woman surprised the redhead, who didn't hesitate in opening the door. There she found an older woman with greyed hair, wearing horn-rimmed glasses. "Please excuse me for encroaching on your privacy, but I was across the hall with my husband, and I overheard your discussion, and..." Misty felt embarrassed, but opened the door to let her in. "First, let me introduce myself." The woman extended her hand towards the gym leader. "My name is Sophia, but you can call me "Sophie."
"Good evening, Sophie," Misty said, grasping her hand. "I'm Misty."
"Please excuse me for being so nosy," she began, "but my husband and I feel that it's our duty to help the couples that are just beginning the long journey of marriage."
"But I'm not..." Misty started.
"Don't be afraid," Sophie interrupted, smiling and sitting down in one of the seats of the cabin. "My husband and I have been married for sixty years. We have four children, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and I can tell you, it's not been a bed of roses."
"But our situation is so complicated…" Misty replied, slumping her shoulders tiredly. "He's my best friend, and yes, he also was my first love, and our marriage is the result of a wild night in Neon Town."
"Oh, come now" Sophie said with a nervous smile. "At least you should be grateful that it was your best friend and not a complete stranger."
"True..." she said, acknowledging that the alternative would have been worse.
"And what is it that's stressing you out so much, dearie?"
"We aren't married because we're in love. It's only because of a stupid act of drunkenness. I don't remember anything from that night, and now I'm probably pregnant." Misty said it so suddenly that Sophie could only let out a sharp "oh." "And now I don't know what to do... I always dreamed about my wedding day, about being so in love, and about having the perfect family that I never had, since my parents died when I was just a baby, and..."
"Now, now, now," Sophie said, trying to calm her, as she had fallen back on the bed, her hands covering her face. "Misty, you shouldn't think so much about the things that you wanted. It's better to think about the future."
"We agreed that when we get home in a month, we're divorcing immediately. It'll take just a signature." Misty responded.
"And do you want that?"
"More than anything," Misty said desperately.
"Then why not take the opportunity to get to know your friend better and see if there could be something more between you two? I'm telling you, if you are growing a new life growing inside of you during that time, it would probably be wise," Sophie advised.
"But if I fall in love with him and I'm not pregnant, don't you think that would be much worse?"
"Now I understand." Sophie smiled lopsidedly at the young woman. "You're afraid that you won't want to divorce him when your month is up." Misty tried to deny it, but with the confident look the old woman gave, she couldn't.
"I'm afraid of falling for him and then having to leave him, just like I had to a long time ago."
"The best thing for a healthy relationship is that you never stop seeing yourselves as friends. There is no reason that piece of paper or book would influence your friendship, or your relationship. Do you know what the most important thing in a marriage is?" Sophie asked.
"Love?" the gym leader responded, but the old woman shook her head. "No?"
"If love were the only important thing in marriage, then there wouldn't be engagements or splits. There would only be marriages and divorces."
"I guess you're right..." Misty muttered thoughtfully.
"Now, here's my task for you." Sophie stood up and smiled, closing her eyes. "Remember that you both are in this together, not only you or he. You both must endure this until the end of the month. If a rowboat is rowed from only one side, it does not move forward. It only runs in circles in the same place."
On the deck, the night wind blew straight into Ash's face as he tried to control his emotions, while Pikachu tried to calm him down.
"Why does this woman drive me so crazy!?" he groaned, gritting his teeth.
"I suppose they're all like that." Ash was surprised by the sound of a voice behind him. Turning around, he found an elderly man standing there, who was using a cane to support himself.
"Hello," Ash said, bowing halfway. "Your wife is driving you crazy?" he asked, intrigued at the man's appearance.
"First," the man said, holding out his right hand, "my name is Kyle. And you?"
"Ash, Ash Ketchum," he responded, shaking the man's hand.
"Pleasure to meet you, Ash." He withdrew the handshake and looked for a deck chair to sit down in. Ash helped him, noticing his difficulty in doing so. "Thank you. As I was saying, women will drive you mad, what with all the mood changes and their belief that we can read their minds, and that we can somehow magically understand everything."
"Seems like we're talking about the same woman," Ash muttered, scooting another chair over to sit in front of the gentleman.
"I've been with my wife Sophie for almost sixty years. We'll be there in a month, and even though it's always been quite complicated, I don't believe I have any regrets."
"Excuse me…" Ash didn't understand exactly where the old man was going with that. "Why are you telling me this?"
"We listened to you and your wife's discussion. We have the room across the hall, and I'm afraid we couldn't just sit around and do nothing."
"Oh..." Ash seemed to slouch his shoulders under the weight of embarrassment. "I see."
"You both seem very troubled for being on your honeymoon. Did something happen?"
"She's my best friend, and I guess she's the one person who knows in the world who knows me best, and vice versa. Or at least I thought, until we were celebrating her birthday three days ago. We had some drinks, and we ended up married."
"Oh, come now. Back in my day, our parents used to have us marry complete strangers," the old man said as a sort of anecdote. "You were lucky to have married your best friend, and not a complete stranger."
"Well, that's what I thought at first, but I don't like the woman that I saw today at all," Ash said as he looked up at the stars. "She'd blame me just for breathing."[3]
"Do you love her?" Kyle's question took Ash by surprise so much that he couldn't help his cheeks getting red. "Seems like you do."
"She's my best friend," he explained. "I enjoy her a lot, and sure, we were constantly fighting and what not when we were kids, but today her words really hurt me. Everything was supposed to be fine, like she said it was. We'd get through this month like it was nothing, and then we'd go back to what were always supposed to be, the best of friends… but now I'm doubting that."
"And why not try and talk to her?" Kyle advised. "Perhaps she's going through something that she's not able to tell you about, for fear or for whatever reason."
"That could be…" Ash pressed his lips together thoughtfully. "Misty is like an ocean full of mysteries to me."
"Try to talk to her so that you can find an agreement, and so that you don't cut each other off and lose one another." Kyle saw that Ash was lost in thought, so he asked him a question with a smile on his face. "Do you know what makes a marriage work, that is, a relationship?"
"Confidence?" he answered with a hint of doubt.
"Exactly," he responded, happy that he'd given the answer he was hoping for. "Confidence!" He smiled again at him. "Confidence makes for good communication, good communication makes for security in oneself, and security in oneself leads to stability that will let you stay with a person for a long while."
"I think I understand…" Ash said, still thinking.
"Do you know what the most important thing in a marriage is?" Kyle asked him.
"No," Ash said, shaking his head.
"Well then…" Kyle asked Ash to help him stand, and then he continued. "If your marriage lasts for only one month, it might do you well to figure it out. You never know when you might need it. Goodnight."
The man turned and walked away, leaving Ash wondering what that most important thing could be. Could it be love? He looked over at his Pokémon, who looked confused by all that was going on. Ash straightened his shoulders and decided to go back to his room.
When he got there, ready to confront Misty, he found her on the bed, fast asleep. He bit his lower lip while he looked at her.
"I guess it'd be better to talk to her in the morning..." He got into his side of the bed, and he brought her into his arms to settle her in. He took the slippers off of her feet, and he covered her with the sheets. Then, he settled himself into the bed, while his electric Pokémon snuggled himself in at the foot of the bed.
"Sixty years with the same person…" Ash thought as turned and looked over at Misty. "We've only known each other for just over eleven. In that many years, would we still just be friends? Really, the only thing I want is to not lose my friend Misty."
And with that, he closed his eyes to the third day of his married life.
Author's notes:
The Hydroelectric Sisters' Corner:
PikAshley: Alright, so what did you think of the course the story took? XD… Ohhh will Tracy think the same thing as Delia and Daisy? And it looks like the newlywed couple will have people to talk to during the trip hahaha… How do you all think it will go for them? Well, I'm not going to keep furthering it, but this definitely was something crazy in their trip hehehe… Anyway! I hope you all enjoyed the new chapter… A hydroelectric goodbye to all of you!
Sire: Well, that's all for now! If you have any suggestions or comments about the fic, don't hesitate to tell us! I only want to tell you that I haven't seen any movies where they mention me ._., so I don't know if this is like the movies or not. Anyway, three days down, twenty seven to go! See you on October 10!
Translator's notes:
Alright, another chapter down. This was a long one, getting to around 14 pages, which is pretty typical for this story. I don't know how in the world these authors could write something so long in a period of days, but I guess that's why I'm the translator and not the author. Here are my points of difficulty:
1. In this part, Ash was trying to indicate to Misty that there were good nutrients to her in the food, which his mother and Daisy were implying that she needed due to the possibility of pregnancy (faltarse in Spanish). This was written as "!Me falta tranquilidad!" So I translated it as "needing" things, including "needing some peace."
2. This was written as "Y yo que sé si no dices nada," which I think would mean something along the lines of "I know you're not saying much," or "if you're not saying anything, how am I supposed to know?". The dialogue around this bit got pretty confusing and very colloquial for someone who's only studied Spanish academically.
3. This one was written as "le faltó que me culpara por respirar," and I was confused by the use of "le faltar que." I didn't find anything on this, so I did my best with this one.
Wow, this was published September 20, 2014, so that means I've got some catching up to do. I can't give an indication of when I'll finish the next chapter, as I've got a lot going on, including two jobs and several music projects, and I didn't exactly realize I'd be translating the equivalent to a novel. But I'll try my best to finish it in a timely manner. Until next time!
