4. Chapter 4

I slept most of the way back to the hospital,
who would have thought that a funeral would be so exhausting. I was relieved to see that Gus was awake when I got back to the room.
However, it was the first time I looked at Gus and saw how sick he really was. He was nothing but a skeleton now, and when I looked in the mirror, I realized that I was just the same. I looked at the calendar on the wall, May 30.
