"Um...Well, funny story. I didn't want to leave Cas as I don't trust Gabriel, so he let me stay, but for a cost and he 'marked me,' as he put it," Sam just busted out laughing, "Oh, that's just my luck."
But Bobby didn't look so amused, "Boy! Don't you know this is serious buisness you have gotten yourself into?"
Ellen just looked surprise, she grabbed Rufus by the arm and they left Bobby and Sam to talk in private, they had no part of that and didn't really even know what to say.
"Believe me," Sam looked as enthusiastic as a kid stuck inside on a rainy day, "I know. I didn't have any warning, either, so couldn't really stop it."
Bobby just shook his head, "I'll go do some research to see how to get outta this," he muttered, picked up his coffee and went to his living room to start reading through books.
Sam sat down at the table, he didn't really notice how tired he was until then. He folded his arms and placed them on the table and then layed his head on them. Before long he was soon fast asleep, it was crazy, he couldn't get enough sleep to save his life.
A little later he woke up to the sound of someone being loud and obnoxious in the kitchen. He lifted his head, and who else should be standing there? Gabriel.
"G'morning, princess," he grinned and sat down next to Sam, "Sleep well?"
Sam groaned and put his head back down muttering, "Go away, Gabriel."
"Is that any way to speak to your spouce? I'm hurt," he used a mock-offended tone.
"Hey! You gave me no warning, it doesn't count! Now, what do you want?," Sam was being tired cranky right now.
"Does too, chucklehead," then it was like you could hear the tone change in Gabriel and see the wink he gave off after he said, "I was just thinking...Maybe we could consummate our angelic-marriage."
Wait, what? Sam looked up, "Is this all about sex, Gabriel?"
He looked hurt, "Of course not! I just wanted someone to have fun and share life with. Learn to take a joke, Winchester. The sex comes later."
"Oh, so we took my last name, is it?," Sam laughed, he was trying to ignore that last comment.
"You couldn't even pronounce my name, so I don't wanna hear it," He smiled, at least the hunter was finally laughing.
"What kind of fun?," Sam looked a little interested in it, he could use some fun afterall.
"Just fun, themeparks, rollarcoasters, malls, beaches, y'know, the usu fun stuff," the look on the archangel's face was hard to dicipher right now.
But in a flash, Gabriel was gone again. Sam looked around, his heart saddened a little, he was looking forward to getting out of the house. But he shrugged, hopefully Gabe would let him out of this whole "angelic marriage" thing, soon. He was in love with Cas, and that's all there was to it.
Sam pushed up from the table and went upstairs to check on Cas and Mary-Anna. Castiel was asleep, but Mary-Anna was awake and staring at the celling. He walked over and picked her up, as soon as he did she start gigling and put her tiny hand on his face. Her one blue and and one green eye seemed to light up with glee at the sight of Sam. It was that light when you see someone that you haven't seen in forever that you missed. Her black hair was a complete contrast against her eyes, it made them really pop and become more noticiable. Not that a person with two different coloured eyes had that problem, but still.
"Hey there, Mary-Anna," he wispered quietly to her, rocking her in his arms.
She just cooed and looked up at him, she didn't seem like a newborn. Well, then again she was a nephilim, they tended to grow faster than an average human baby, too, at least that's what he read while doing research on it for Cas. It was a defense mechanism they had, as they were hunted by the angels for being abominations.
"She knows who you are," he heard that familliar gravely voice say.
He turned around to see Cas awake, laying in bed watching them, "How long have you been awake, sir?" Sam bent down and placed a kiss on his forehead.
"Long enough," Cas smiled and sat up.
"Oh," Sam said, he wasn't aware Cas had been awake, "Wait, how does she know me?"
"She remembers your voice and my affection for you while she was...growing," Cas said, he still looked a bit out of it like he could use more sleep.
Mary-Anna yawned widely and looked up at Sam, she was fighting to keep her eyelids open and it was an adorable sight. Eventually Sam crawled into bed next to Cas and placed Mary-Anna in the space between them. He threw his arm around Cas and snuggled him into the crook of his arm, Mary-Anna was laying on both of them. Then they all drifted off to sleep. They could use it, little did they know the days ahead were going to be difficult in more ways than one.
