Amy's Prov:
I woke a little later than I normally would've. "Adam?" I asked, sitting up, slowly. The morning sickness was brutal these past few days. It got so bad that I was dizzy and light headed after, Adam often had to help me either back to bed or to the nurses for a cool damp cloth on my forehead. I just saw the doc yesterday, and she said that if I keep getting lightheaded and dizzy after throwing up, to go to the ER, to monitor the baby and make sure I don't get any other problems. "I'm here." He said, sitting in front of me. "How you feeling?" I shrugged, and said "Okay, I guess."
He said "Why don't we just have a lazy day, or we could go to the mall, start shopping for a few house things, and stuff for baby Singh. Then come home and have a lazy night. Mom and dad have an emergency trip back to India, this week, so we'll have the whole place to ourselves. Dad and mom said we can do some updating and anything that's not construction. Which thankfully there is none. I have an idea. Why don't you get dressed, and I'll check out the house and see what needs to be updated, and such. I'll write them down too so we can remember." I grinned, and said "Perfect."
I got dressed, carefully pulling my long hair back into a ponytail, before grabbing my purse and heading downstairs. The second my feet touched the first floor I darted to the downstairs bathroom, where I threw up. What did I throw up? I have no idea. "Ames?" Adam said from the door way. I stopped a minute later, before flushing and standing slowly. "I'm okay this time." I said, brushing my teeth with the spare toothbrush and toothpaste I kept down here. "I'm gonna make some toast, for you, and I have the list of everything that needs to be updated, and thing's I'm gonna ask someone about."
I nodded, finishing, and cleaning up the sink. "Okay..." I said, turning around. "Remember what the doc said?" He nodded, and said "I remember, so if you get that feeling, one more time, We'll go in. Deal?" I nodded, and said "Deal."
We walked to the mall, Hand in hand. We have our permits currently, Adam was getting his license next month, and his parents were working on notes to allow him to drive me and the baby and vice versa. "I have to go on the 27th for my drivers test, When do you go?" Adam asked. "Thanksgiving eve." I answered. "You're a great driver, babe I know you'll have no problem getting it." Adam responded, with every bit of confidence. I blushed and said "You will too."
We practiced driving with both his parents whenever we got the chance. We went into the mall and shopped around all morning mostly some maternity clothes, for when my belly gets more noticeable, which it was just starting to show, Then we grabbed some lunch before going to the hardware store. "I wish we bought that cart, that we could pull so it'd be easier, to carry all the bags." I said. We had a total of ten bags. "I'm sorry, here." He took the bags from my hands, and said "I'll carry them. We went into the store, putting the stuff in the cart as we walked through, and Adam spoke to the employees about what we needed to update. "Ummm Where's the lady's room?" I asked, causing Adam to look to me. "Ames?" He asked, as the employee told me where it was, as I ran to the bathroom.
Adam to Amy: Hey, You okay?
Amy to Adam: no...
Adam to Amy: I'm right outside. Do you need home and bed or ER?
Amy to Adam: Er.
I managed to walk to the door, where Adam's arms encased me. "Okay. So I bought one of those carts that we can take with us, so lets go to the ER, and get you and baby Singh checked out." We got to the ER, and got to the bay where the doc came in. "Okay, Amy, Adam. Can you tell me what's going on so we can better help you and get you on your way?" I must've looked worse then I did originally, cause Adam said "She's about 2 months pregnant, but this week, she's been complaining of feeling dizzy and lightheaded, and honestly this is how she usually looks afterwards. Her Gynecologist said to come in if it continues. She got sick this morning, and was fine.. But when we were out she got sick again, and she wasn't okay. Which is why we have all the stuff we bought with us."
I looked to Adam, who just gave me a comforting smile, as the doc said "okay, so We're gonna check your blood sugar and all that in addition to the other blood tests, then we are gonna do an ultrasound to check on the baby." Adam said "What do you think could be causing these dizzy spells and lightheadedness and occasional weakness?"
The doc said "it could be a number of things. But I promise I'm gonna figure it out."
