By the time we got home, we were both a little breathless. I more than him (due to him being a full wolfblood and not a "cub" like me). I placed my finger on my lips in the 'shush' symbol and opened the door to our mudroom. I crept inside and motioned for Chase to follow me. "As soon as you meet my parents, you'll have to explain why your here to them quickly." I whispered to him. Chase silently nodded and I took my boots of motioning for him to take his muddy boots off too. "Mom? Dad? I'm back. I brought someone I want to meet!" I shouted into the motionless house. I looked back and saw Chase looking at me expectantly. I motioned for him follow and went into our kitchen. A note was on the table. "Gone to pick up some groceries. Call if there is anything you want at the store. Love, Mom" Of course. Just when I had a wild wolfblood with a rogue pack on him standing in our kitchen, they HAD to be getting groceries. I sighed and turned to face Chase. I looked up and down at him. His blonde hair was coated in mud and grease and his clothes were no better. I saw no blood stains, which was good. His hair wasn't really long like I had imagined wild wolfbloods to be. Instead, it was crudely cut at odd angles. "They're at the store. But we should go and get you showered off. They might like you more if you smelt less." I said to him in a slightly teasing voice. He cleared his throat. "I don't have any other clothes to change into though." he said. I thought for a moment, and then remembered. Cinder and I had gone through a stage where we turned some boy clothes into girl stuff. Lots of hats and baggy shirts had come from that odd fashion statement. There were probably a couple extra tee shirts or jeans still upstairs. We walked upstairs, where I quickly taught him how to use the shower, sink, and toilet and gave him a towel. I went off to search for the clothes and found a pair of ripped jeans and a sweatshirt. It would have to do. I knocked on the door, quietly saying "Cover yourself". The door opened and steam rolled out. I threw the clothes in and turned around. A couple of minutes later, Chase stepped out of the bathroom as my parents walked through the door.
