Three days later.
Sora was well rested enough to get out of bed without help. The five friends were were discussing the plans for the raft but were planing on making it bigger and gathering more food and water thanks to Byakuya bringing up the topic. Kairi was in charge of the whole thing, meaning that she was working on the raft while Riku was gathering the wood and vines to help hold the raft together as Yoruichi was collecting food and water. Sora was with Byakuya on a smaller, well-hidden part of the island discussing what happened the other day.
"How are you feeling today Sora?" The Soul Reaper asked with a small smile.
All of this smileing was having a posative effect on him. It was starting to feel good.
"Better. My head still hurts though. What exactly did happen?" The hooded boy asked.
"After you feel asleep on me and the werecat we were attacked by a small group of shadows with yellow eyes. At first I thought that they were just mind tricks but when I attacked one it vanished in a small cloud of black mist. While we were fighting you woke up and summoned this strange looking weapon that was shaped like a key and used an attack that I've never seen before. You called it 'Holy Wraith.'"
"I know."
"How?"
Crossing his legs he looked up for a moment before resuming.
"It was like I was there but I was also sleeping. I can't explain that. When I was dreaming I battled those things. I learned that they are called the Heartless. And that the weapon is called the Keyblade. I was told by a voice that I need to open the door. What Door? How can I help whoever needs it if I don't know what to do?
What do you think I should do Byakuya?" He asked.
"I can't say. I'll try to help you however I can though. We are friends after all."
"Thanks. Now let's rejoin our friends."
He nodded.
After walking back to the new raft the two were greeted by Kairi.
"Where were you guys? I could use some help here. Sora, you can help me by tying the vines together that Riku's brought so far, we'll need the raft to hold up incase of a storm."
"On it." He said as he began his task with a smile.
"Byakuya, could you help Yoruichi with finding food? I trust her but I think that it would be best if we have some more as a back up stash."
"Sure." He said as he walked away from her sight and then flash-stepped to the other side of the island where Yoruichi was on the beach sleeping.
'Useless.'
"Wake up werecat." He said as he kicked her in the side.
"Hey, what's the idea Byakuya? I was trying to get some sun here!" She said in anger as she stood up and got in his face.
"Your supossed to be gathering food and water."
"I did."
"Where is it?"
"I ate my fill. I was going to get a quick nap before getting more for the group."
"You really are a pain werecat." He said with a scowl as she backed up. "Just help out."
"Fine. But I'm only helping you out because you asked me nicely."
"What do we need? Kairi didn't tell me."
"We need water, a few gallons at least. I'm thinking between ten or twenty should do it. As for food we need fish, fruit, and dried meat."
"Sounds easy to me. Since you were the one who was napping your going to get the water and fish. I'll gather the dried meat and fruit. Meet me back at the raft when your done." He told her.
"Fine." She said with a groan. She preferred a nap over work any day.
"Make it quick." He told her as he flash-stepped and began gathering what he needed.
"'Master.'"
"'What is it Zenbonzakura?'"
"'Why do we have to suffer at the hands of the werecat?'"
"'I wish I knew.'" He said as he grabbed two pinapples. "'Is there something else bothering you?'"
"'Yes. It's about Sora's power. You've never seen anything like it correct?'"
"'Yes. It was impressive.'"
"'That's what worries me, any Hollows that find their way here would target him and the Keyblade. He wouldn't be able to defend himself. And the Heartless would take those steps as well. I do agree with Kairi but she and her friends are looking at it the wrong way.'"
"'I know that but we can't give away to much without suffering the consequences. I'll try to explain what I can to him when I get a chance.'"
"'Thank you Master. I would be heartbroken if he was harmed or killed because of us.'"
"'Me too.'" He thought as they ended the link.
Sora's P.O.V.
"How's it going on your side Sora?" Kairi asked me.
Wipeing the beads of sweat from my forehead I looked up at her, smiled and said, "Good. I'm running short on vines. I'm going to get some more okay?"
She nodded her head. "Just take it slow alright?" She asked me with a concerned look.
I smiled and nodded before I went to go get more vines. As I reached the door that housed the other side of the island I began to get dizzy as a voice spoke to me like in my dream.
"'Pathitic.'"
"What?"
"'I said your pathitic.'"
"Who are you?" I asked the voice as I clutched my head in pain as it began pounding.
"'I'm the darkness that lives inside you heart. I'm the voice in your head that feeds off of your pain. Your anger. Your rage. And your fear. We're half of a single being. I'm the darkness and your the light. You are stuck with me as much as I'm stuck with you. I can feel your darkness Sora, it's hidden deep inside your heart and your soul. Nothing will save you from your fate.'" The voice said right before I passed out from the pain.
