I hate my life!

The wheels scrape against the tracks as the roller coaster begins its route to my personal hell. The worst part is that I can't even cry at my poor life choices because the cocky jerk (the reason I'm on this stupid contraction in the first place) is right next to me!

The cart picks up speed, and I feel like gouging my eyes out so I wouldn't see all the things around me start to blur in our speed.

My hair is whipping wildly around my face before I know the worst had begun- we're ascending. We're beginning to go up just so we can plunge down? Seems a little counter-productive, if I say so myself.

I hear the little brat next me laugh, as if he can sense my tension- I feel like curling up into a pokeball. But instead, I stay stiff as a board, my eyes bulged and face growing paler with every passing second.

"Are ya scared?"

We've reached three quarters of the way up, and the people on the ground look like fruity pebbles. I gulp and barely choke out in retailiation-

"No."

The cart goes over the hump ever so slightly, and I hold my breathe- here it comes...

"Are you sure?"

That's the last thing I hear before we plunge down.

"Ma'am, I'm going to need you to exit the ride."

I'm frozen in a horrified pose, my hands clutching air as if the safety bar was still there.

Beside me, I can hear the little scoundrel snicker, "That was fun. My favorite part was when you grasped my thigh when we were in the air."

A moment- a small flash of weakness. I couldn't help it! This ride is terrifying! Horrifying! Scarrifying!

If I had any pride left, I would replied a snarky comment, but my intestines were still stuck in my throat, so I just gurgle.

"C'mon, Lucy!" I hear Levy call- apparently her joy ride with the Eiffel Tower wasn't so bad. Lovely. I'll send them a postcard from Paris when they're on their honeymoon.

"Move it, blondie!" the boy next to me gives me a little shove, and I'm snapped out of my trance. This boy was NOT making any more skin contact with me in one day.

I clamber out the ride on trembling limbs and notice that a few people who looked so ready to go on the ride a moment ago have hesitation written all over their face after seeing me.

Nice to know I have that effect on people.

Pinkie strolls past me, but not before making another comment about my hand on his thigh.

It was for a SECOND. I SWEAR. In addition, it was entirely accidental.

When I finally make it back to my group, I see Juvia with a longing look in her eyes, Erza with "let's do it again" written all over her face, Mira smiling, and Levy with an unreadable look upon her face.

"I think I'm gonna throw up," or cry. Or murder pinkie.

Or all of the above.

"Same," Levy mumbles. I look at her- and suddenly realize how short we are. We look like midgets next to Erza, Mira, and Juvia.

Peachy.

"I thought the ride was fun," says the girl who looks like she thinks karate chopping a person's body in half is fun.

"Sure," I notice we're in line for another thing. I look towards the booth and see it's one of those things where you shoot water at a target through a gun. At least I don't run the risk of dying here.

I hear Erza crack her knuckles and see Juvia's lips grow into a smirk while she stares at the water.

Hopefully.

When it's finally our turn, I smile. This game reminds me of... no. Don't think about it, Lucy.

I fork over some money to the girl running the booth. Only three people can play at once, so Levy and I play each other while Juvia, Erza, and Mira argue over who gets which color gun.

After I win a small, pink teddy bear keychain, I watch with a horrified look as Mira, Erza, and Juvia begin making bets about who will win. This CANNOT be good.

Erza settles at the red gun, an arrogant smile gracing her features. Mira sits down at the white gun, her eyebrows furrowed. Juvia sits in the middle at the blue gun, gripping it like a lifeline.

"Ready, set, GO!" the boy running the booth shouts, and almost instantaneously the three girls begin attacking the targets with long streams of water.

I cover my eyes as the girls cackle and colored auras practically surround them.

In about 7 horrifying seconds, all fifty targets are shot down and the boy hasn't even finished counting the money.

They turn to the boy, who smiles a "please don't kill me" smile and tells them they can take whatever they want, who goes as far as offering up his wallet.

Juvia takes a grey bear with a chain around its neck, Erza plucks out a strawberry with a happy face on it, and Mira grabs a white bear.

"That was so fun!" Mira exclaims, giving her giant bear a squeeze as the guns they were using are limp and lifeless because of the girls' strong grips.

I nod nervously as Levy stares down at her tiny cat ring.

"So..." I give my head a loll as I drag the word out, "Where to next?"

"We could go on another ride! Or get cotton candy! Or get some food!" Mira has a way of making things childish sound elegant.

"How about that photo booth?" Erza points her finger towards a large photo booth with no line. Next to it is a large cart of wacky and funny thing to wear in the photos, such as cat ears, mustaches, giant lips, foam fingers, cowboy hats, and more.

"That looks awesome!" I blurt out before I can stop myself, starting to feel embarrassed.

"Isn't it?" Mira runs over to the cart and picks out a pair of devil horns and making an evil face.

Juvia also runs over, taking out a pair of nerdy glasses and striking a pose.

"Come one!" Erza smiles a friendly smile and pulls Levy and me along with her to the cart.

I feel a small smile pull across my face as I look up at the four girls around me, laughing and conversing- even Levy was giggling at them at some points!

Maybe this wouldn't be as bad as I thought.
