When the explosion happened, the base that was once quiet and calm turned into a mad house. Autobots were bursting out of their rooms, some running towards the sound of the explosion and others going into the command room, forming a circle around Smokescreen.
Worry flickered over Smokescreen's face as Ratchet was trying to find out from Ironhide about what caused the explosion. With her doorwings quivering, one servo rubbing her abdomen, the sparked femme thought about what had caused the explosion.
Could it be the Decepticons, had they come back? That was her main concern. However, that thought quickly vanished as Ironhide and several Autobots came into the command room. Each had some ash on them. Some were smiling trying their best not to laugh and others were looking annoyed.
Just as Ratchet was about to open his mouth plates and ask what had caused the explosion. Wheeljack came into the command room. His once white paint now a complete black. No front part of him was white.
There was a moment of complete silence and then the laughter happened. It started out small and then got louder. Smokescreen had her servo over her mouth plates to try and prevent some laughter from escaping her but she was failing like many others with her.
Wheeljack had taken one look at the group before him and shrugged. "Opps," said the Wrecker. That is all it took for mechs to fall to the floor, rolling in laughter. Smokescreen walked away from it all but she had started to laugh just as hard as them.
While she was walking down the hallways, she heard someone come up from behind her. As she turned around, Bumblebee stopped a few feet away. The yellow and black mech was looking nervous. Smokescreen tilted her helm and gave him a small questioning look.
"Smokescreen, is alright if I ask you something?" Bumblebee asked her in the beeps and whistles that he spoke with. The sparked femme nodded and smiled softly at the one she considered her best friend. Maybe it could be even more one day.
"Well," started the yellow mech. "What I wanted to ask you was…."
