Hello everyone, please enjoy the newest installment of Magic After Dark!
I do not own anything!
Things seemed to be going swimmingly for both groups as the day went on. The guys ran into no more problems, well almost no more problems; they had a small dispute over where they wanted to eat dinner. Geoff and Duncan wanted to eat at Pecos Bill while Trent and Noah wanted to eat at the Colombia Harbor House. It was not major issues as DJ settled it easily by having his friends eat at Tortuga Tavern, a place they all enjoyed. Afterwards, they decided to ride Space Mountain, despite the wait, and then grab spots for the nightly firework show, "Wishes".
The girls on the other hand had no problems what so ever, not one. Courtney used her strategy of tackling one land at a time and using the wait times board on Main Street, they were able to decide which attractions to fastpass and which to wait until extra magic hours to ride. By dinner time they had been through Tomorrowland, Liberty Square (Courtney went on Hall of Presidents while the others rode the Haunted Mansion), and Adventureland. That left Frontierland, Mickey's Toontown Fair, and Fantasyland for Extra Magic Hours. They now are finishing their meal at Pinocchio's Village Haus, their favorite quick service restaurant in the park. Courtney, still watching the "It's A Small World" boats through the window next to her, decided to give her friends a little reminder.
"Ladies, remember, the fireworks are in one hour and since we have now missed the eight o'clock, "Spectromagic Parade", the next one is at ten o'clock. Gwen, I know that you and Leshawna want to go on the Haunted Mansion again, so I will grab our firework viewing spot at the Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace with Katie and Bridgette. If you two could pick up some snacks after you get off the ride that would be great. Does that sound like a plan?" Courtney asked, knowing everyone would agree as their evenings in the park normally went along the same lines to some degree.
"Yeah, that's fine, girl. Any particular snack requests and how are we gonna pay for the food?" Leshawna asked, already having a clue as to what the answers would be.
"Hold on, I am sure that I have a couple more twenties floating around in my bag. Ah, here they are, my last forty dollars, please do not spend all of it. Oh and bring me back exact change, I will be checking the receipt." Courtney instructed, handing a slightly peeved Leshawna the money. "Oh and I would like a medium sized popcorn and a sprite, please."
"One big mickey pretzel and a lemonade for me please" Bridgette asked her friend politely.
"Could you get me a medium sized popcorn and a coke, please?" Katie asked, knowing her friends would oblige.
Leshawna nodded in response as she and Gwen walked off toward the Haunted Mansion.
An hour later, it's time for the fireworks to begin. The girls are in their favorite spot, snacks in hand.
"This is so my favorite part of all of our trips, don't you agree Gwen?" Katie asked, very excited for the firework show to start.
"I am not sure if I have a favorite part, but I have to admit, watching the fireworks sure beats those kiddy rides." Gwen replied, taking a bite out of her giant chocolate chip cookie and giving Courtney a look.
"What is the look for?" Courtney asked, not happy at all.
"Ssh! The show is about to start!" Leshawna yelled, nearly dropping her mickey ice cream pop.
With that the girls quieted down, the kingdom turned dark, and the show began.
Meanwhile, the guys found a spot on the Tomorrowland Bridge and like the girls, planned to go to Big Thunder Mountain once the firework show ended.
The show went on as normal but behind the scenes, strange things were happening. It is said that "life begins at night" and in this case, that is very true. Those who inhabited the park at night were beginning to move and one person caught a glimpse of one of those inhabitants.
Bridgette was watching the fireworks, when all of a sudden; during the Villainous Wishes part of the firework show she caught a glimpse of a shadow in the top window of the castle.
"Bridgette, are you okay?" Courtney asked, waving her hand in front of her best friend's face so that she could get her attention.
"What? Oh, yeah. I am fine, Courtney, I thought I saw – never mind." Bridgette replied, pulling her eyes away from the castle and focusing her attention on the fireworks once more.
"Thought you saw what?" Courtney asked, very interested in what made her friend zone out.
"It's not important and I am sure it was nothing, Court." Bridgette replied, trying to change the subject as she felt what she saw was impossible and more than likely a part of the show, considering when she saw it.
A few minutes later, the firework show ended and both groups started to head toward Frontierland trying but failing to not get pulled into the heavy crowds.
The girls went with the crowds that passed in front of the castle and the guys moved with the crowds that passed in front of the Partners Statue.
"Come on ladies, stick together!" Courtney yelled, trying not to lose any of her friends.
"Dudes, come on, this way!" Geoff called back to his friends, hoping that they were all still behind him.
Both groups were approaching the Adventureland Bridge and each started to push their way through the crowds a little until Katie tripped over her own foot and accidently pushed Gwen, who fell onto Bridgette, which made her trip on Courtney's heel which sent them flying into the teenage males ahead of them.
"Oh, oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" Apologized the Goth to the man she just fell on. Once she got a good look at said man, she started to blush a little as he was rather cute and had gorgeous emerald eyes.
"Hey, it's no big deal." The man apologized, helping Gwen up. "I'm Trent by the way."
"I'm Gwen" she introduced, still blushing a little.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry!" Bridgette frantically apologized to the blond man underneath her.
"It's okay, dudette, its totally cool" The blond man smiled as they both got back on their feet.
"I'm Bridgette; again, I am so sorry for falling on you."
"Geoff, and like I said, it's cool." He introduced himself and tried to calm his new friend down.
"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry, I hope I did not hurt you!" Katie squealed in horror of what just happened.
"It-It's fine, but can you please get off of me?" Asked the man squished beneath her.
Katie got herself up and then helped the guy she fell on top of get back up.
"I'm Katie" She introduced, blushing out of embarrassment of what happened and because the guy she fell on is cute.
"Noah." He simply replied while checking himself for bruises and his book for damage.
"Well, hello there sweetheart, you know you do not have to tackle me to tell me that you like me." Duncan said as suggestively winked at the frazzled female on top of him.
"Ugh, you are such a pig. I am sorry for falling on you; my friend can be klutzy at times. Now, I will be on my way." Courtney replied as she got up and walked toward her friends. All of a sudden, she felt an arm wrap around her waist and pull her back.
"Woah there, Princess, you can't just fall on me and not tell me your name." The mohawked male said as he pulled the mocha skinned female back to him.
"My name is Courtney and I would appreciate it if you let go of my waist." She ordered, infuriated by the man's juvenile behavior.
"I'm Duncan in case you were interested, now where are you heading off to Princess?" He asked, hoping to spend more time with the attractive female he just met.
"First off, do NOT call me Princess. Second, where I am going is none of your business. Third, GET YOUR ARM OFF OF MY WAIST BEFORE I BREAK IT!" Courtney fired back, wanting nothing to do with the punk delinquent.
"Okay, calm down Courtney." Bridgette said, pulling her friend away from the punk.
"Hey guys, Trent says that he and his friends are also going to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad now. I think that we should join them." Gwen offered to her friends, in hopes that she could spend more time with Trent.
"Awesome idea, Gwen, but…where is Leshawna?" Asked Bridgette, noticing her friend had disappeared.
"Hey dudes, have any of you seen Deej?" Geoff asked, quite curious about his friend's whereabouts.
"I think Leshawna got separated from us when were pulled through that heavy crowd. I am sure she'll find us soon." Katie replied, figuring that is what happened.
"Yeah man, DJ probably lost in the crowd as well." Duncan said, putting his hand on his best friend's shoulder.
A couple of seconds later, both DJ and Leshawna came over to the group of new acquaintances.
"Finally, I thought I would never find you guys. Hey DJ, are these your friends?" Leshawna asked, as she and DJ agreed to help each other find their friends.
"Yeah, these are my friends. Thanks for helping me." DJ replied, quite appreciative for the help.
"Ladies, I wish I could stay, but Harold called me. He got himself into a mess trying to practice something that he learned at Crazy Steve's Ninja Training Camp." Leshawna said as she hugged her friends.
"It's okay, tell Harold we said hi." Bridgette said as Leshawna started to leave.
"I will!" The bootylicious female replied as she started to head back up Main Street.
"Wait. You are Harold McGrady's girlfriend? Well, what do you know, that pathetic wimp of a nerd was telling the truth. Honey, you could do much better, trust me." Duncan called out to her.
"Don't you dare talk bad about my boyfriend!" Leshawna said, ready to punch the punk. "How do you know him anyway?" She asked, curious.
"We go to the same school and he is one of my many forms of amusement." Duncan replied, smirking as he thought of all of the pranks he pulled on said nerd.
"So you are Duncan, the punk that is torturing my poor Harold baby?" Leshawna said, pissed.
"Yep, that is me." He replied, cocky expression on his face.
Leshawna then proceeded to punch Duncan in the face and give him a black eye.
"OUCH!" Duncan cried out in anger and pain.
"That is a warning. You touch my boyfriend again and I will make you beg for your life. Understand?" Leshawna warned.
"Duh" was Duncan's reply as he nursed his eye.
With that, Leshawna turned and proceeded up Main Street and exited the park.
"I have to go too, mama wants me home. She is picking me up at the Boardwalk so I have to catch a bus." DJ said as he too started to walk up Main Street towards the exit.
"Bye, bro!" Geoff called out as his friend left.
"Okay, so, to Big Thunder Mountain?" Asked Trent as his friend faded away into the smaller but still ever-present crowds.
"Yeah sure, sounds good." Bridgette replied as the group headed toward said attraction.
