Opening Scene

Dalton's Reactions

Chloe and Blaine are sitting in the car driving towards Dalton.

Chloe- Daddy, am I leaving Dalton?

Blaine- Chlo, I have to check with the headmaster, but for your sake, I hope so.

Chloe- What has to be checked?

Blaine- I need to see if in my contract, it states that if I still work there you are allowed to leave.

Chloe- Daddy, if it means losing your job, I'll stay.

Blaine- We'll see.

They get out of the car and walk into the school. Blaine walks straight into the headmaster's office. Chloe is sitting on the bench outside his office.

Dianna is seen entering the school grounds with John and Sasha behind her. She walks down a long hallway towards where Chloe is sitting. People start to fill the hallways.

Dianna- Look who showed up, Miss Detective Anderson. I'm surprised Chloe, I didn't think you'd return after your big scene at Sectionals.

Blaine walks out of the headmaster's office and gives Chloe a big smile.

Chloe- Dianna, I came back just so I could see your faces when I told you that you'll have to win (or lose not sure which I like better) without me.

The rest of the Warblers walk towards Chloe, who is now standing on the bench.

Logan- Chloe, are you really leaving?

Chloe- Yeah, I'm not happy here. Most of my friends are back at McKinley, I want to join them.

Laila- We're gonna miss you, and I don't just mean your voice and talent.

James- You're a great friend.

Chloe gets down and goes to hug the Warblers good bye. She jumps on to the nearest bench, ans starts to sing.

[Chloe]

Blaine and Chloe get in the car, and start driving away from Dalton.

So I look on back and say

Scene 1

Chloe's Transfer

Chloe and Blaine are sitting in Mr. Schuester's office.

Schue- Blaine, it's so good to see you again.

Blaine- It's been to long Mr. Schue.

Schue- It's seems like I keep seeing old faces pop up all the time, Rachel, and Finn. Anyway, I got your call. Chloe, I hear you want to join William McKinley High School.

Chloe- That was the plan.

Schue- Does that plan include being a part of the New Directions.

Chloe- Was that a question?

Schue- Ok, so I have here a schedule, and as you are very advanced, you will be in mostly honors classes. So for a few days, I want you to have a mentor so you can get used to the style. So for the purposes of now, I'll have Kyle Puckerman, he's a junior and in a bunch of your classes. Right now I think he has gym.

Beth enters the room.

Beth- I was told there was a car in the parking lot with a WARBLER license plate. (license plate, not bumper sticker.

Schue- Miss Puckerman, could you please bring Chloe to your brother before next period?

Beth- Sure thing Mr. Schue, come on, let's get you out of that uniform.

Chloe and Beth exit the room.

Schue- I need you to sign these forms. Blaine, how's it going?

Blaine- Good, life's crazy as usual.

Shue- How's Dalton and the Warblers?

Blaine- Not different except, this time we have girls, but for me, no different.

Secretary- Mr. Schue, Emma's on line 1.

Schue- Sorry Blaine, I've gotta take this. Talk to you later. Hey Emma, what's up?

Scene 2

Beth and Chloe walk down the hall towards the boys' lockeroom. Chloe has changed from her school uniform, into a blue tank top with tight jeans. Her hair is still in her Warbler headband.

Beth- Get ready, this place smells like feet and mold.

Chloe- Consider me warned.

They enter the locker room.

Brock- Get out.

Julian- You know girls aren't allowed to be in here.

Beth- Orders from Mr. Schue. Where's Josh?

Josh walks up nods to Chloe, and puts his arm around Beth.

Josh- What's up Babe?

They start kissing. Chloe walks up to a (showered) changing Kyle, who is over by his locker. She puts her hand over his eyes.

Chloe- Guess who?

Kyle- Um, Jaime. Wait why are you in here? Finn's gonna kill you.

Chloe- Who's Jaime, and should I be worried?

Kyle turns around and Chloe uncovers his eyes.

Kyle- G-d Chlo. What are you doing here, wait did you get the transfer?

Chloe- Yup, I am now an official McKinley High Student.

Kyle spins her around and starts kissing her. They are sitting so Chloe's back is facing people. Finn walks over.

Finn- Yo Puckerman, why are you making out with some girl? You have a girlfriend!

They break apart. Chloe's face is not looking at Finn.

Kyle- Yeah, so, what's your point and why is that your buisness?

They begin to kiss again.

Finn-Because you're dating my niece.

Chloe picks her head up.

Chloe- I know he is Uncle Finn.

Finn- Chloe? Oh my gosh, you, you transferred.

Chloe- No duh.

Chloe giggles.

Finn- Well you two better go on off to class, and we'll see you by glee, right?

Kyle- Like I'd give her a choice.

They exit.

Scene 3

The tryout

The New Directions are sitting on the side. Rachel is in her office. Kyle and Chloe walk in.

Kyle- Guys this is my girlfriend Chloe. She's here to tryout.

Jaime- Or she's a spy.

Kyle- Cut it Jaime, not a chance.

Beth- She just transferred.

Rachel walks out of her office.

Rachel- We have a new student, and I'm guessing you want to try out? Well, take it away.

Chloe- Kyle you want to help?

Kyle- You didn't have to ask.

[Kyle]

Just a small town girl

Rachel- Wow that was unbelievably amazing. This week's lesson is Proper Places. Sarah would you start us off with something. Chloe can I speak with you?

Chloe and Rachel make their way to Rachel's office.

Rachel- What is your full name?

Chloe- Chloe Anderson.

Rachel pauses.

Rachel- I think we met in the bathroom at Sectionals?

Chloe- We did.

Rachel- Anyway, I see a lot of potential in you. You are a great addition to the New Directions. However, how do I know you are not just a spy for the Warblers?

Chloe- If I had to guess, you are probably around my uncle's age, so that would also put you in my dad's year, and I'm guessing the Warbler gave you trouble. Now as you can see, I wasn't happy by the Warblers, and I switched schools, and now I feel like I am home. So I hope you trust me.

Rachel- Who would your uncle be, I might know him.

Chloe- You probably do, he works here, Finn Hudson.

Rachel- I know him quiet well. Your father is Blaine Anderson, right?

Chloe- Yes, I was adopted as a baby.

Rachel- I see then. I need to make a phone call.

Chloe- I'll see you in class.

Chloe leave and goes back into the room. Rachel picks up her phone.

Rachel- Blaine, this is urgent.

Scene 3

Beth has dyslexia

Beth is sitting in the special ed room, at a table with a tutor.

Tutor- Beth now can you read this for me?

Beth- Look, this is crazy. Why do I have to do this? You know I'm dyslexic; I've been tested, so I don't get why you are retesting me.

Tutor- Because I need to do a reevaluation every year. You could have graduated last year, but you had to repeat junior year.

Beth- So what? I'm missing a cheer practice and as head of the Cheerios, I need to be there. I don't care if I fail. I can read, I can pass. I don't need to waste my time.

Tutor- I don't understand. If you put in the work and spend more time, you get a better grade.

Beth- You don't know a thing about me, I come for homework help, not for you to make fun of me.

Tutor- Look it's the school rule.

Beth- I don't give a shit about the school rule. It's nobody's business and I don't care.

Tutor- Then I need to let Mr. Schuester know of your resigning from the Cheerios.

Beth- What, why?

Tutor- It's not possible for you to get above a D without help.

Beth- Are you doubting a Puckerman?

Tutor- Then prove yourself.

Beth- Fine, I will.

Tutor- So let's start with English.

Scene 4

Glee Club

The Glee kids are sitting off to the side and Rachel is at the front.

Rachel- So we are very lucky to have Chloe, so as the champ from before, do you have any methods?

Chloe- Not really, except you should sing something from your heart. You also have to focus on the team effort, but mainly on your part. By doing that it gives you a stronger platform and makes the rest easier. Never pick a star and build the rest around them like Vocal Adrenaline does, but pick what works best for the group and the feel.

Jaime- That does make sense.

Jay- That is how it seems they did it.

Finn- What'd I miss? Hey Chlo!

Finn goes over and kisses her on the cheek.

Chloe- What's up Uncle Finn?

Finn- Life's up.

Finn goes over and kisses Rachel.

Rachel- Anyway, back to the task at hand, any ideas?

Everyone's faces are blank.

Taylor-What type?

Rachel- A song about feeling right or happy.

Justin- Slow or peppy?

Rachel- Preferably peppy.

Amanda- I have a song, I don't remember it, but my dad said that after the hardest Sectionals, you sang a really cool song.

Finn- You mean We Are Young?

[Chloe]

Chloe- I'm catching a ride with Finn.

Kyle- K, I'll call you, you going out to dinner and a movie?

Finn- Yup Breadsticks, you comin Chlo?

Chloe- Let's go.

Finn turns to Rachel.

Finn- See you later.

Rachel- Have fun.

Scene 6

Blaine, Rachel, Quinn, Kurt, and Puck are sitting in silence in the Anderson living room

All dialogue is soft, and cold like

Rachel- Is, is Chloe my daughter?

Blaine- Yes.

Rachel tries to blink back tears.

Rachel- How? Why? Oh My G-d.

Quinn- Rachel relax, come here.

Rachel- Kurt, why? All of these years…

Kurt- Rachel, you need to hear the full story.

Rachel- I can't believe it. She's my child.

Puck- Do you want the story Berry?

Rachel- Yes.

Blaine- So it happened when I was visiting Kurt for Christmas, in 2013. This was when you found out how bad Brody hurt you, and you decided there was no way you wanted anything to do with the child. When you had Chloe, you were dating Finn once again, and because you still wanted nothing to do with the child, Finn begged me to take her into my care and to go back to Lima. His exact words were, "I know that there will be one day where Rach will regret giving her up and want to fix her mistake."

Rachel- Finn said that? He's right. I abandoned my daughter, though I swore I would never do. I had no mother growing up, and now I put her is in the position as I was.

Kurt- Blaine adopted Chloe. Anyway, the next summer, Puck came back to town with a child as well.

Puck- This would be Kyle. I first moved in with Blaine and with help from Finn's mom, we raised the two. I got in touch with Quinn, and we started dating again. The summer after Quinn graduated we got Beth back. At that point we moved in together and Blaine and Chloe moved out. Finn was still part time in Lima, he helped with Chloe.

Rachel- I knew Blaine had adopted a child, but I didn't know it was my child. Does she know?

Quinn- No, but we've all sworn to keep it a secret until you were ready.

Rachel- I want to tell her, but she'll hate me.

[Rachel]

Blaine- Rachel, Chloe is getting to the point of needing a mother, if you're not ready to open up, then let her at least confide in you.

Kurt- Take it slow, remember when you found out about Shelby.

Rachel- I can't believe I put my daughter in the same situation as me.

Rachel turns and sees a stuffed dog. She goes over and picks it up.

Rachel- Finn. He really gave it to her, I remember asking him to. G-d, I love him.

Puck- We have to go.

Quinn- We told Beth we'd be home by nine-thirty.

Blaine- Finn will be here with Chloe soon.

Rachel- I better get going.

Scene 7

Beth walks out of the special-ed room. Laura walks up to her.

Laura- We need to talk.

They walk into an empty classroom.

Laura- Look, I know you are dyslexic, but Tiffany knows also. You know how she has always wanted Josh.

Beth- Yeah, what's the point?

Laura- Her plan is that if you don't break up with him, then she'll tell him and the whole Cheerio squad, about you being dyslexic.

Beth- Josh already knows. I don't care, I love him too much.

Laura- Sorry.

Later Beth walks to the gym. The Cheerios are doing stretches. Beth picks up the attendance.

Payton- Are you sure you can read that?

Kara- Is your dyslexia acting up?

Beth- Excuse me? Just because you were prom queen last year, means nothing to the fact you are a stuck up bitch.

Beth turns to the rest of the squad.

Beth- Are any of you going to back me up? No? Fine, I'll leave. Happy?

Beth storms out of the gym and into an empty classroom.

Scene 8

The Warblers are gathered in the library.

Logan- Okay, we need to step up our game. We've put off practice since Monday. Chloe is not dead, and we need to get back on track. Our place is first place, but we need to be deserving of it.

Sasha- The real reason we won, was because of Chloe. Now we've given her to a team that will win without a problem.

Damian- It's all thanks to Dianna and her ego.

Dianna- Look, I'm sorry. I didn't think she'd transfer, just drop out maybe.

John- Dianna, sorry won't cut it. Chloe was the glue to the team, and the key of winning.

Jordan- Now she's gone.

Laila- Look, yes Chloe's gone. We get it, and we need to move forward. We have to use what we have to build our strengths and win.

Berkeley- We do acapella, of everything, we just have to be creative.

Xavier- Very true, as they say on Broadway, "the show must go on."

Zach- Nora begin.

[Nora]

Scene 9

The Cheerios are practicing. The football players are training in the field. Beth is sitting on the bleachers.

Sarah- Where's Beth?

Payton- You gleeks missed last practice and Beth quit.

Jaime- She what?

Kara- Quit, see it works for us. Dyslexics don't belong on a cheerleading squad.

Amanda- Neither do stuck up Bitches.

Kara- Don't talk to me ginger.

They keep fighting and arguing. Chloe walks over to Beth.

Chloe- You miss it, don't you?

Beth- So? They think I don't belong. It's their loss. Besides, it works, Kara is now happy that she is head.

Chloe- What does it matter? There will always be people who hate you, so why does that stop you?

Beth- Chlo, it's no good. If I can't make the grade, I can't make the team.

Chloe- You belong on the top of the pyramid.

Beth- My proper place is in the tutoring room.

[Chloe]

Scene 10

Rachel and Finn are standing on the stage in the auditorium.

Rachel- Finn, I don't have time to watch a performance right now.

Finn- This won't take more than three minutes.

Rachel- What?

Finn- So this will sound cheesy, but hopefully you'll appreciate this. I've stood here and kissed you, proposed to you, made up or broke up with you here on this stage. Now I am asking you to please move in with me? Take it into consideration Rachel. Just think, you could build up your relationships with Chloe better, and I love you.

Rachel- Finn…

They kiss.

Rachel- You have no idea how long I have wait for this, of course I'll move in with you.

Finn- Then it's settled, we'll start packing you up as soon as you are ready.

A/N: Here is your behind the scenes.

At the premiere of the Hunger Games, Lea Michele is being interviewed.

Interviewer- So Lea, this was a big surprise to Rachel.

Lea- Yeah, finding out that Chloe is really her daughter was a big shock to her.

Interviewer- Did you know?

Lea- We all know the basic premise and what the plan is for this season, but the scene are generally a surprise.

Interviewer- How long did you rehearse the scene before filming.

Lea- Ryan wanted it to be a big shock to me, so we actually filmed the first time as we read the scene, so no time, he wanted us to study our reactions to get the scene perfect.

Interviewer- Did that work well.

Lea- Initially I think that for these scene it would have been hard to get it right if I had time to process, because that was the main point. However, the first time Idina Menzel showed up and jumped into the script, she actually snuck on set and started improving into the scene.

Interviewer- What did she say?

Lea- So I was saying my line "Finn said that? He's right. I abandoned my daughter, though I swore I would never do. I had no mother growing up, and now I put her is in the position as I was."

Then Idina said "Yes, but Rachel you can fix that and be the mom she's always wanted."

I turned and without really thinking I said, "But mom what if it's too late."

I then cried, and said "And what if I don't know how."

Ryan told us to cut the scene. I realized after that Idina wasn't actually a part of it.

Interviewer- That must have been funny. Did you two sing at all?

Lea- Ryan allowed us to continue the scene, and we sang the song as a duet, which he decided to keep for the sound track.

Interviewer- Can you tell the viewers what to expect in the upcoming episodes?

Lea- What I can tell you is we are introducing a few new characters, and a father like son, and a whole lot of drama. Rachel will be seen coming closer to Chloe, and some great songs.

Interviewer- Thanks, so excited to see what happens next on Glee.
