Princess2Princess

Summary: Flora starts a program at Royal Prep called "Princess2Princess," which allows some of the younger princesses to spend a day with a chosen princess and get some guidance. (Follow up to "Princess Convention")

Disclaimer: "Sofia the First" is just wonderful; however, I own nothing of this delightful show… Ah, well. :)

A/N: This final chapter focuses on Vivian and Jun getting to meet princesses who can give each of them the best advice possible. While Jun has already met Mulan once, she'll get a more in-depth conversation with her, and this will be Vivian's first meeting with a princess.

Chapter 4: Inward to Outward

*Tiana*

Flora had already returned to her office by the time Tiana had pulled Vivian aside to sit at one of the tables. She placed a bowl in front of the girl and smiled.

"Um, Miss Tiana," she began uncertainly, looking up at the older princess, "what is this?"

"You'll see," the princess of Maldonia hinted playfully as she gathered several different ingredients, which had apparently already been cooked, and started mixing them together. "So tell me a bit about yourself."

"I, uh, well…" Her shyness was starting to return, just as Vivian feared it would. She usually did pretty well around people these days, but just the fact that she was in the presence of one of the more well-known princesses made her kind of nervous. "I'm…Vivian."

"Yes, Ms. Flora told me." She smiled gently and picked up a spoon, stirring her ingredients. "How about…what's your favorite color?"

Vivian smiled appreciatively. Now she had something to go on. "I like red and pink…most colors actually. What about you?"

Tiana raised an eyebrow at her and indicated her green dress. "Um…yeah, I like green." She laughed when the younger girl giggled. "I like all colors though. Hmm, how about…what's something you enjoy doing?"

"I play the mandolin, and I really like to sing, but I'm kind of…shy."

"You?" The older princess grinned when Vivian smiled sheepishly and shrugged. "Honey, there's no reason to be shy around me. I'm one of the easier princesses to talk to. Why, I haven't even always been a princess."

"You haven't?"

"No! Here, stir this for me and I'll tell you a story."

So that's how Vivian and Tiana started their bonding process. Vivian stirred the mixture Tiana had made while the green-clad New Orleans native prattled on about her life prior to meeting Naveen.

"And you didn't have to give up your dream once you became a princess," Vivian concluded in awe as Tiana nodded happily. "That's amazing, Miss Tiana. You're really nice, and thank you for taking the time to talk to me."

"No problem, sweetie. And look, I know you can be shy and everything, but you have a lot to offer. Don't let that shyness hold you back. You've got to take the 'Vivian' on the inside—the one you want to be—and bring her to the outside. Then, no one can stop you." She winked and pulled the bowl toward her when Vivian smiled in appreciation. "Well, I believe our mixture is finished."

"What is it?" Vivian peered over at the bowl and the delectable-looking concoction inside.

"Where I'm from, we call this red beans and rice…for the obvious reasons." She smiled and pushed some of the beans, sausages, and rice around a few more times before handing Vivian a fork and pushing the bowl toward her. "Here, try this."

After taking a bite and letting the flavors absorb, the dark-haired girl beamed at Tiana. "This is delicious!"

"Why, thank you! Next time, I'm making some gumbo and beignets."

"What are those?"

Tiana paused, blinked, and laughed while shaking her head. "Oh, no, we can't have that. Looks like I'll have to come back sooner than I thought."

*Mulan*

Jun sat quietly in the dance hall where some students had previously been practicing. When Fauna had indicated the room to her, the dark-haired girl had been a tad bit confused as to why she should need to reside there.

She gasped when she felt hands cover her eyes.

"Guess who?"

Jun brightened when she instantly recognized a voice from a previous encounter. "Mulan?!" she wondered in awe as the hands fell away and she was able to turn around. Her eyes widened in surprise. "It is you! Oh, I had hoped I'd get to see you again." She then stood and bowed politely, as she'd been taught since birth.

Mulan, recognizing the girl's fondness for tradition and respect, smiled and offered the same greeting to the much younger girl. "Now then," she began as she nodded toward the window, having Jun follow her. "How have you been, Jun?"

"I have been very anxious, honestly," she said gently as she tucked her hands behind her back. "Final exams are approaching soon, and I want to do well."

"I have confidence that you will. You seem really focused."

"My father is to thank for that," she replied with a light smile. "And thanks to you, he believes even princesses can succeed in aiding and saving people. You're a legend, Mulan."

"Well, I don't know about that," Mulan laughed with a slight bashful look. "But thank you, Jun. Is there anything you'd like to know?"

"Hmm…" The little girl pondered as she searched her thoughts for the right words. She'd always wanted a chance to talk more with the other princess, but now that she was right in front of her, Jun couldn't think of the first subject to talk about. "Do… Do you think I could ever help save someone—never mind an entire country—somehow?"

"From what I hear, little one, I think you already have." She smiled and knelt to the younger girl's height. "Being brave enough to try is the first step. The fact that you didn't give up when your family was in danger speaks great levels about you. And yes, I think if the time comes, you would have the courage to stand up for what is right and save anyone if necessary. But for now, enjoy the peace." She winked. "It's not something we come by very often in these 'enchanted' lands, huh?"

Jun smiled and shook her head. "But that makes it more exciting," she clarified, receiving a nod from Mulan.

"That it does." She looked around before grinning and whispering to Jun, "Do you want to learn how to out climb the boys?"

While she hesitated momentarily, considering her options, Jun finally grinned and nodded as Mulan took her hand and quickly led her outside.

The day with the visiting princesses came to an end, and the six younger girls bid farewell to their mentors for now. Surely they would return some time soon, perhaps before the end of the year.

That night, Sofia hurried up to Cedric's tower with the book Belle had found nestled in her arms. She clung to the book as if it were a lifeline. Approaching his door, she pushed it open urgently, meeting Cedric's startled glance.

"Sofia?" he asked in concern as the young princess walked up to him. "What's wrong?"

Without saying a word, she glanced at the book before holding it up to him to take.

Cedric's mouth dropped upon reading the title. "Lavender Legend: Secrets of Avalor…" He looked down at his apprentice. "Where did you find this?"

"At the library at school." She clasped her amulet uncertainly as she waited for her friend to maybe explain the existence of the book, if he even knew. "Mr. Cedric, what does this mean?"

As the sorcerer flipped through the pages, his eyes resting on the identical drawing of Sofia's amulet on one of them, he sighed and turned back to her. "I don't know… But there's one way to find out."

Sofia tilted her head as he held one hand out to her. Releasing her amulet and taking a small breath, she grasped her mentor's hand.

"Come with me."

The end (and "To Be Continued")

A/N: Sorry! I knew it's kind of "cliffhanger-ish," but I do have a working title for the story that will follow this eventually. And it's the same title as the book. ;) Now, when I'll get it written is another story entirely. :p Anyway, I hope y'all liked this. :) Now I want some red beans and rice! Darn it. Haha

**Answering "Breaking Point" Reviews**

TheOliviaOcti: Thank you! :) I know we talked already, but I like responding to everyone here also. You're a sweetheart, and I appreciate your kind words! And I love that the stories are "feeding" you. Lol Never thought about it like that. :D

grovyleanime: Thank you very much!

theblindwriter95: Thanks, girl! I appreciate it. Aw, tears? Lol. I didn't mean to make people get all teary. Haha. I love their friendship too, and I intend to make them as heart-meltingly adorable as I can. :D Tizzy and Jade: You have been banished from the island. :p And I fixed the "Complete" thing. I think my tired self just forgot. Haha! Your story will be updated soon, by the way!

Sofia2015: Glad you liked it, and hope things are getting better. Baileywick will return in my future stories, so don't worry. I just gave him a break. And I'll see if I can get around to actually *reading* some stories instead of writing them soon enough.

brave kid: Thanks! :)

LongLiveNiNoKuni: Glad you liked it, and sorry for not making Cedric more dramatic. Lol. I'm bad at "angry" characters, so writing Roland getting angry was a bit of a challenge, I guess. :P I'm working on it. Elsa was the one character who kept returning to my mind. My thoughts were, they had plenty of parallels; and since Sofia was the one still wearing the amulet, and all the visitors show-wise had been princesses so far, I figured it would probably still be the same. Not sure. I don't even know how long it's going to take the writers to PUT Elsa and Anna on. Lol. We may be waiting for a while! But now that you mention it, Merlin was one of the options at first, but I forgot about him after a bit. Ha, maybe next time. Thanks for the ideas!

Natalie Nightray: Thanks so much! I'm glad to have you as a fan. Y también yo hablo español si es más fácil para ti. ;) Gracias por tus palabras dulces!

Royal Detective: Thank you! I'm glad you got to finish the story. :D Yeah, Roland getting upset with Cedric was something I knew *needed* to happen, but it didn't make writing it any easier. It also doesn't help that sometimes…I just don't like Roland. Lol. Ah, well. Glad you liked Elsa showing up. And you and others had the same idea for Merlin appearing. Seriously, I may have to! Love that you drank chocolate milk. ;) Atta girl!

CedricAmber: WOW. Okay, one step at a time! Haha. Thanks for everything! I seriously don't intend to make people cry, but I guess if the emotion suits, then yay! Haha. Yeah, I know about you and James have bedtime similarities. ;) You know, pudding may just be a peace offering between Cedric and Roland in the future. :p Thanks for that idea. Hehe. I loved writing Cedric getting all huffy about some "prince" showing up to heal her. He would never allow it. Lol! And sorry for putting that song in your head! It's been in mine, so I figured I'd share. :D Glad you liked the journal and Elsa showing up. :) I like both Elsa and Anna, though I'm pretty much a mixture. Between my sister and me, I'm Elsa and she's Anna. Weird, right? :D And seriously, stop teasing me. :P I want to read your stories sometime soon! Haha. And hilarious: Let it Go! :P

Yep, Roland and Cedric made up, and all's well that ends well! :D Technology is messed up sometimes, but I can't live without it. :P It's going to be part of my doctorate degree, so I guess I'd better get used to it, huh? Did you eat your PB&J yet? :p Any notes on the "buttery" texture? Bwahahahaha! 90s to me were great. And you're welcome for the early birthday wishes. REALLY early, no? Haha. And yes, we need a Baileywick/Jade intervention…maybe. No, never Cedric; he'd probably curse her. :D Not that I'm complaining… I love Lucinda and wish she'd show up more! Haha, you're Cedric and I'm Sofia? All right, MR. CEDRIC! :) I hope you don't mind me knocking on your door at all hours of the day to ask seemingly random questions and then leave while giggling. Come to think of it…I do that. :p I AM Sofia. Lol. And thanks for that. ;) I appreciate the sweet words! Oh, yeah, Happy *late* April Fool's Day!

Phew…my hands are tired. Lol. I'll be updating "At First Sight" hopefully tomorrow or Saturday! Keep an eye out! Have a great night! ~AquaTurquoise
