A/N: Hello! Please don't hate me, I've been busy! REALLY BUSY and no one is probably even reading this anymore, but whatever, I needed some time away from the computer. Just to catch you up on things in my life (not that you guys probably even care): my best friend and my mom decided to surprise me with All Time Low tickets for all of us (yes, I have an amazing mom who likes concerts and moshes). Oh, and I had so many tests and stuff before school ended that I couldn't update, but it's been summer and I've been out of school so I can update more often! I was going to update at the beginning of the month when school was out, but I needed to sort out some things in my life. Also, I'm done with the replies to reviews unless I really need to address a review (positively or negatively).
ENJOY!

CHAPTER FOUR
Iggy POV:
My (nicely provided from Dr. Martinez) alarm clock beeped, waking me from my peaceful sleep. I rolled over and groaned, and then felt around the nightstand next to my bed to find the off button. Whose idea was it to get up early and go to school when we weren't on the run? Oh, yeah, Fang, the genius.
I'll admit I wasn't used to being here yet and still had to feel around the walls to find my way around. I climbed out of my bed and felt for the wall, and then to the door and down the hallway. "Ow! Oh, Iggy, it's you. Good morning! Are you ready to go to school?" Nudge said. I guess I had hit her on my way to the kitchen. "Mornin', Nudge," I said, my voice tired from sleep.
When I got to the kitchen, I could sense the tension without seeing Max's glares. She was making a point of not looking at Fang, which I could tell from Angel. Max blocked what she's angry about, Angel said in my mind, but it's definitely at Fang. I thought okay, knowing she could hear it.
Everyone was talking and laughing (excluding Fang (and Max and Fang talking to each other if that makes any sense)). I smelled something delicious and felt my stomach grumble. "What's that smell?" I asked, and Angel replied, "Dr. M. is making pancakes and bacon. She said they'll be ready in a few minutes."
Not cooking breakfast for everyone was a new thing for me. Even when it was just Gazzy, Fang, and I, I always made breakfast, and when we were all together as a flock I made breakfast so Max didn't have to: you could only eat so many rock-hard pieces of toast before you got sick of Max's cooking.
Dr. Martinez called out that it was time for breakfast, and I felt everyone around me get up, so I followed suit and grabbed the person nearest to me. Gazzy helped me get to the kitchen counter, and I realized that I needed to learn my way around because I hated being guided around. I really hated having to be guided around.
I piled my plate with pancakes and bacon and felt around the room back to the table, where Max helped me to my seat so I didn't fall or anything, even though I could handle it.
I finished eating rather quickly and went back to my room where I could finish getting ready for school. I got dressed in jeans and a dark blue shirt and ran a brush through my needing-a-haircut hair. We didn't have money to freely get haircuts, and Max was the only one who cut hair out of the Flock, so it was too long by now. I'll have to ask Max about that.
I heard a knock on the door I had closed. "Who is it?" I yelled to whoever was on the other side. "It's me," Max replied, opening the door. I felt a rush of cold air when she opened the door quickly. "Oh, good, Fang's not in here," she said. She walked over to where my bed was (at least, I hoped it was my bed in the room I was sharing with Fang and Iggy. It'd be really awkward otherwise.) "So, how do you like school?" she asked, and I snorted. She burst into the laugh I remembered so well and said, "Well, I see your opinions haven't changed much. Cant blame you, though."
She stood up to walk out (I would assume) and said, "School starts in half an hour. I'm walking like I usually do, but you can fly with Fang, ride in my mom's car with Ella, or walk with me. My mom is dropping off Angel, Gazzy, and Nudge, too."
I nodded and said, "I'll fly with Fang."
I heard her say "Okay," and walked away, her footsteps echoing on the hardwood floor of the hall.
Time to face school for our second day as a Flock.
Max POV:
I left breakfast, putting my plate in the dishwasher. I walked into my room and pulled out my Bring Me the Horizon tee and my favorite crimson skinny jeans (yes, I do have favorite clothes.) I ran out and brushed my teeth and hair, throwing my hair up in a high ponytail. I went into Iggy's room and talked to him, and he said he'd fly with Fang. I left the room to go get my iPod so I could leave and hit a body. More specifically, Fang's body.
"Why are you standing at my door?" I asked bitterly, venom dripping from every word. I was so angry about last night. He had no right to try and kiss me after three years like nothing happened. No. Right.
"I was, uh, I was—" he was at a loss for words.
"Spit it out!" I said, frightened at how mean I was being, but I couldn't stop the words from coming out.
"I need to talk to you," he said, his voice steady.
"There isn't anything to talk about, Fang. You made a mistake, and I'm not okay with it. I can't just forgive you, and you know it. I don't think you need any further explanation, but I could be wrong. Maybe you need more of an explanation for it to go through your thick skull."
I shoved past Fang and into my room, grabbing my iPod, headphones, and iPhone before leaving the room. I shoved past Fang, shoving my earbuds in my ears and turning on Of Mice & Men loudly. The Depths started blaring through the earbuds, and I was out the door, hugging my mom on the way out. I knew ignoring Fang was wrong, but I wasn't about to change it. There was no way I would let Fang get to me this time. I couldn't do it.
So instead I did what I've become very good at these past few years: I pushed him away. I couldn't handle to be hurt again. I was too hurt the first time, and it wasn't going to happen. I walked to school at the beat to Let Live (by Of Mice & Men) bobbing my head to the beat.
I was all for you,
you fell over my love,
I just can't afford it this time.
This is why I loved music: it spoke for me. I was all for letting Fang back in, and he was too. But I can't afford to let him go again, and I couldn't afford him leaving again.
I finished listening to Let Live as I reached the school. I shoved my iPod in my red backpack and pulled my black hoodie close to me. I knew it was only a matter of time before the cheerleaders got to Fang, and I couldn't handle the pain of him being with someone else, so I'm going to act like I don't care. Like always.
A/N: So, was it at least okay? I really liked writing this, even though it's probably crap. It was easy to write Max's part about pushing people away because it's something I'm very good at. Anywho, SOTC!
Last SOTC: Free Now by Sleeping With Sirens
This SOTC:
Guess I should have seen this coming, These are the memories between us,
Should have known it all along.
You're a fake, see clear right through you,
left me dying, it's all your fault.
Let it go, and let live again.
I highly recommend this song. It's one of my favorites and the band is amazing!
Thanks for reading, and expect updates to this and my other stories soon!
