Gajeel P.O.V.
Lying on the couch the dragon slayer had replayed his conversation with Levy. He couldn't believe that she was crying over her lap dogs. He scoffed, as if she would ever date one of them.
"You aren't going to spend the whole day on the couch are you?" Pantherlily walked in from the kitchen. Gajeel rolled over to rest his head in his palm with his elbow on the couch.
"Nah gonna crash a party tomorrow with the bookworm, got things to do today." He smirked, his bookworm. Lily raised an eyebrow,
"Does she know that?" He let a smirk appear on his face.
"Yeah she does!" Gajeel sat up. It was probably time for some food. He looked out the window it had gotten dark, just how long had he been lying on the couch?
"You missed lunch, I tried telling you but who knows what was going on in your thick skull." Lily was leaving the room as Gajeel playfully tried to punch him,
"Whatever." Gajeel stood up and stretched. He headed out the door and started down the road to the guild. As he was walking the street lights started turning on.
"LEVYYYYYYY!" Someone ahead yelled. Gajeel arched his neck and saw Levy's lackey scurrying around yelling. He smirked, bout time that girl dropped him. He continued on his way with a small smile on his face. As he arrived at the guild he was headed towards his table. At first he saw Levy sitting at the table, that was fine he had no problem bugging his shrimp. Wait, his? As he arrived at the table he was greatly disappointed to see Levy was joined by the bar maid.
"Are you kidding me?!" He loomed over their table.
"Hello Gajeel, can we help you?" Mirajane asked, she seemed irritated at the intrusion. He would have enjoyed joining Levy and pestering her, but not with Mirajane around.
"You know what forget it." Gajeel grunted and stomped off to another table. He took his seat and debated on what to eat while still thinking of Levy. He then heard her laughter mixed with Mirajanes, Gajeel turned his head slowly scowling at them which only fueled their laughter. Part of him wanted to know what Levy was giggling about with Mira, and the other part thought it best not to know what women really talk about. That made him shudder. After a while Mirajane walked over to his table,
"Dinner?" She asked, Gajeel grunted. She nodded and went off to get his meal. Gajeel took this time to sneak a peek at his bookworm. She was lost in some book, it was funny how her facial expressions would constantly change. Gajeel gave a small 'Gihi' and turned back just in time to see Mira with his food.
"Here you go, also do you have a second?" Mirajane asked as she placed his plate down. He nodded and grabbed his fork.
"Well I told Levy I would walk home with her but I can't..." She started, he stared at her with one eyebrow raised.
"And?" He asked as he shoveled some meat into his mouth.
"Well...I'm sure you won't walk with her but could you keep an eye on her, just until she makes it to the Fairy Hills gate?" She asked. Gajeel chewed and grunted.
"That is a yes?" Mirajane wished he was easier to understand. He swallowed his food,
"Yeah I'll watch her..." He continued with the food. Mirajane skipped happily away. Gajeel stole one more look at Levy, smirked, then ate his food rather messily. He bit a bit of the fork off but stopped when Mira gave him a death stare from the bar. He slowly placed the fork back and made his way out of the guild. It had gotten really dark and he wondered how much longer Levy was going to be inside for. He walked to the side road that was on the way to fairy hills and stayed hidden in one of the ally entrances, she would have to go down this road so he figured this was a good spot to wait. He looked up, the sky was pitch black. He kicked a stone around for a bit then he heard her heartbeat. He was sure it was Levy he could smell it in the air. He looked around the corner, her heat was beating so fast, he wondered what had frightened her. He could tell she was terribly frightened, she was not watching her feet. Silly shrimp, he unknowingly let out a small 'gihi' as the girl went tumbling to the ground. He walked over slowly when he realized she was out like a light. He shook his head, she should have watched where she was going. His silly little bookworm...
See I am not sooooooo terrible...
