A/N: Well, what can I say? It's been two years since the last update, but I'm back into Digimon mode and I'm determined to complete this story yay! Sorry for the delay and thanks for your continuous support despite the looooong hiatus! Here's a loooonger-than-usual chapter to make up!

Chapter 4: Movie, move me?

-Mimi's POV-
"A boy by the name of Tadase has been found. He is approximately three years old, has blond hair and is wearing an orange camp T-shirt. Would the parents of the above mentioned boy please come to the concierge at Level One to retrieve your child, I repeat, the boy's name is Tadase. Thank you."

"Well that settles it, we just have to wait for the boy's parents to come to the concierge before heading to the cinema." I said to Tai calmly after hearing the mall-wide announcement. To my surprise, Tai was actually entertaining Tadase by making funny faces at him in a peek-a-boo manner. Come to think of it, it is not that surprising at all as he has a younger sister to take care of since young.

"Tadase says he wants to look at the picture the person took just now." Tai stood up from his squatting position and extended his left hand while giving me an awkward smile, his right hand scratching the back of his head. I swear that his cheeks appeared rosier than before, or is that just my hallucination?

I handed Tai the Polaroid image while keeping my glance on it at the same time. As much as I hate to admit it, we do look happy and family-like in that photo. For some reason, I am rather comfortable with this photo the more I look at it. But before Tai managed to show Tadase the photo, a united cry came from the direction of the elevator.

"Tadase!"

All three of us turned our heads to the commotion and saw two adults running towards us. Upon seeing them, Tadase immediately ran forward and shouted, "Mama! Papa!"

-Tai's POV-

Thank god, his parents are finally here. This boy sure knows how to worry his parents. I locked eyes with Mimi and shared a knowing look. We both know too well how worried parents can be when their child goes missing, considering how our very first digimon adventure went. Seeing the reunion of the family just brings memories back. Anyway, our job here is done.

Picking up my belongings from the ground, I asked Mimi, "Movie time then?" She checked her watch and decided that there is still ample time before dinner and so agreed to carry on with our movie date. I was just about to head back to the elevator when she pulled my wrist and stopped me. Oh she did not just do that. I hate it when people halt me in my tracks, especially when they grab onto my wrist. I think it's a part of me that hates to be restrained since I love to be running free during soccer practices.

I shot her a look of annoyance and bellowed, "Whatcha do that for?!" That's when I saw that Tadase's parents are waiting for a chance to talk to us.

"Thank you so much for taking care of Tadase, he is ADHD and we thought that he might be quite… difficult for you guys to deal with, but you guys did a really good job on our behalf. We would like to apologize for the trouble caused and thank you for your help."

I was at a loss for word since I don't really have much experience in this scenario but Mimi came to my rescue. "Oh, there's no trouble at all, Tadase actually behaved real good when we were on the way to the concierge. And it's just the natural thing to do for people to help each other, right Tai?" Mimi said as she nudged my lightly with her right elbow. "Erm, yeah, no sweat there! Just, erm, take care okay Tadase!"

Tadase waved a final goodbye in his mother's arms and we parted ways. As we made our way to the cinema, Mimi did not say anything unlike her usual talkative self. Instead, she just keeps looking through apps on her phone. Man, I really should not have shouted at her just now, I had to make things more awkward eh?

Just then, a voice said in my head, be a man Tai, you are in the wrong, go ahead and apologize. Before I knew it, I broke the silence in the lift, "Hey I'm sorry, about you know… earlier on when I shouted at you. I just really dislike it when people grab onto my wrists, so please don't take it personally, okay?"

She looked up from her phone and stared into my eyes, where I saw some tears building up. Damn it, I thought her cry-baby days are long over, what do I do now?

-Mimi's POV-

*Yawns* that was really some coaxing of Tadase we did back there, I thought as I scrolled through Instagram. What a day filled with adventure, I mean it's not even a day yet, and I still have a movie to catch before going to Yamato's house for dinner and I'm gonna have to tell Sora about my awkward matchmaking date with one of my fellow digidestined, and – *yawns* .

"Hey I'm sorry, about you know… earlier on when I shouted at you. I just really dislike it when people grab onto my wrists, so please don't take it personally, okay?"

That caught me by surprise as I turned and faced Tai, tears started to form from the aftermath of my yawn. I have never seen Tai acting like this when we were kids, since he's usually the one that expected people to apologize to him. "What?" I blurted in confusion. Tai's face began to turn as red as Tentomon's colour and made a 90 degree bow at me and added hurriedly, "I'm sorry Mimi, I did not mean to shout at you!"

I raised my eyebrow and gave an incredulous look at his angled position before pretending to clear my throat, "Er-hem, Taichi Yagami, the princess of purity did not find any fault on you, in which you may now raise that courageous head of yours as we have reached the cinema level."

"So… you are not angry at me?" Tai said softly as we strolled towards the counter.

Putting my hand on my hip, I joked, "Am I really that petty in your mind? If I am, then I want you to pay for the movie ticket as well. Let's get the tickets for warm bodies, shall we?" Tai cracked a smile and said, "You bet!"

"Hi, two tickets for warm bodies at 3.30pm please." Tai requested, his right hand reaching for his back pocket for his wallet. Unfortunately, the counter personnel made a few clicks on the screen before telling us that the seats for this timing are fully sold out.

"Perhaps you might want to get the next timing which is at 6.45pm? Otherwise you would have to get the premium ticket seats for 3pm which is at $14 per person. Or would you like to consider other movies such as The Conjuring and The Amazing Spiderman?"

Tai asked for my opinion, and being unable to resist the premium temptation despite knowing the premium price that follows, I plead "Can we get the premium seats please~" And when his expression became slightly sceptical and unconvinced, I volunteered to pay for my own ticket. Talk about wanting to save up, again.

I could see Tai pondering for a while and just when I thought all hope was lost, Tai pulled out a card from his wallet. "So two premium seats for the 3pm show then, I'll be using my card here thanks." He then turned to me and faked a curtsy, "It's my treat, dear princess." Seriously, I almost hugged him there and then.

-Tai's POV-

I was initially really reluctant to pay premium just for a movie but since I've just gotten my pay as a coach, why not enjoy the movie in a comfortable environment. Furthermore, this is supposed to be a 'date' so I might as well treat it like one. Seeing the pleading look of Mimi really affected my decision though, no wonder the Numemon fell for her charms and let us up the cruise ship in the desert in the past. Damn, did I really just said she has charms? Whatever, but I do know for sure that I have to go to the gents if I were to keep up my charms.

"Mimi, I'll need to go to the washroom for a while, just to freshen up a bit, why don't you wait by the sofa over there, I'll be out in a jiffy." I almost forgot that I had my soccer ball in my arms as I stepped into the gents, which I then threw to Mimi to help me look after.

"Geez, my hair sure is bushy." The reflection from the mirror showed a haystack of brown hair which looks like a bird's nest on top of a handsome lad's head. In case you didn't catch it, I'm referring to myself thank you. While washing my hands, I tried to style it with some water, at least to make it not so messy, which seems to help to some extent.

"Get away from me you douchebag!" That sounded like Mimi, and when I peeped outside to take a look, it is indeed Mimi! If Agumon were beside me, I swear that Greymon would appear immediately as I dashed towards my fellow digidestined in a shielding manner and braced myself for a fight, all thoughts of hair styling gone in an instance.

My senses from the training in the digital world kicked in and I scanned the 'intruder' from top to bottom, left to right. Just barely taller than me, the fella reminded me of Etemon, with the same menacing look and body but much less of a threat obviously. "Mimi, you alright?" I asked as I shifted my head just slightly towards her at the back. She held onto my shoulder and replied shakily, "He approached me and asked for my number and when I refused, he tried to drag me away."

"Get the fuck away from her you bastard, before I make you pay for what you did." The Etemon lookalike balled his fists, "Oh, so you are trying to snatch my girlfriend from me, is that what you are doing?" Upon hearing the word 'girlfriend', I turned to Mimi in shock. "What the fuck dude, I don't even know you until today when you showed up like a crazy desperate monkey searching for a partner that you will never ever have!" Honestly speaking, I almost laughed when Mimi described him as a monkey seeing how he resembles Etemon but I managed to control myself in this circumstance.

Without ever knowing what possessed me, I shouted, "Girlfriend? She's my wife."

A/N: Please tell me someone got the SBS show roommate reference at the last part, I sure hope I'm not the only Kpop fan around here eh! Sorry if the chapter felt draggy and disconnected since I have not touched on this for two years already. I promise the next will be better!
