Meanwhile on Earth…
"Ethan! Ethan, I'm going to the store to get some groceries! When I get home I want to see the driveway shoveled!" Ethan's mom called down the stairs.
"Okay mom!" Ethan replied, sighing as he stared at the screen, swinging his Wii remote and nunchuck furiously as he attacked Ghirahim in the final battle.
"No! Don't do that, I told you to block it! Block…! Block! Come on… Oh there! An opening! Stab him! Stab! Kill! Nooooo! That was blocking! Stop it! Listen to me!" the boy commented rapid-fire as Link failed to do what he wanted. Then of course, Fi, the annoying little bugger, had to appear and tell him his batteries were nearly dead.
"Oh come ooon! Why now? Seriously?" he made a frustrated groan as he looked at the clock. With alarm, he realized that it had already been fifteen minutes since his mom had left. Quickly deciding he should probably rid the driveway of snow now, he popped the batteries completely out of his controller to make sure the game wouldn't unpause from Fi's interruption if his cat stepped on the 'A' button, raced out of the room, put his coat and shoes on, and rushed outside to do his job as quickly as possible.
What he didn't notice in his rush was that he had hit the table, knocking over the Wii and jerking the power cord somewhat out in the process. He also didn't realize that when the cord was pulled, Link, Fi, and Ghirahim all appeared in his living room.
A/N No, Ethan is definitely not me, if you were wondering, and also is not named after anyone I know. Ethan was just the first name that popped into my head. The only similarities I have with him is that I comment a lot when I play video games, was terrible at fighting Ghirahim the last time, and typically am too lazy to change the batteries until they die. Twice. Sorry about the shortness this time, but the next chapter is definitely much longer. And also the last one. For you OC dislikers, be happy. Ethan plays a very small part in this fic.
