Morning was fast approaching, they had spread oil on the way up and were waiting for the pirates to attack.
"This is perfect! They can't climb up this slope now because of the oil we put down." Usopp explained "It's a strategy, we will shoot at them while they try to climb up this slope. So our main objective is to protect this slope."
"On the other hand" Nami cautioned pointing "we have to make sure we don't slip on this oil."
"You really have crazy ideas" Luffy laughed from the floor while putting one foot on the oil.
"Sure, just leave the crazy ideas and shooting to me. I am very confident" Usopp shouted.
"It's morning" Zoro told them as they all looked to the sea "they will come soon."
"Shouldn't they be here already?" Kimi said waking Umbreon.
"Am I wrong? Or did I hear... a voice from the north of the island?" Nami asked.
"North!?" Usopp repeated in shock.
"I think you're right" Kimi replied kneeling bedside her pokemon, who was looking alert to the north with his hears twitching.
"What is it?" Zoro asked Usopp.
"There is also a port to the nort."
"You mean we're on the wrong beach!?" exclaimed Luffy.
"I thought they would come this way because we saw them talking here." Usopp explained, worryed.
"Let's hurry up. Where are they now?" Luffy yelled.
"If you head north, it should take about three minutes. The geography there is similar to this slope. If we can get them at that slope we will be fine." The sharpshooter answered the captain.
Luffy took off while the navigator worried for their treasure and with a "you need to plan better" from Kimi she and Usopp took after him.
"Umbreon 'snarl'" Kimi yelled when she caught up with Usopp and Nami, who had passed her (They're fast!), seeing them on the ground, the pirates near the two were knocked back by the pokemon's sonic attack as he got on their way and bared his teeth. "You two alright?".
"You..."
"Hey! Just get in the village, all of you!" The kuro pirate's first mate yelled before Usopp could say any more " Don't pay attention to those kids and their weird pet" Umbreon snarled getting ready to attack "Did you forget about captain Kuro's plan? If you ruin his plan... he will kill everyone of us. Have you not realized that? Stupid!"
"'Dark Pulse'" Kimi ordered, the advancing pirates got caught by the widespread dark energy beam and where defeated by the powerful attack.
"That was so coll!" Luffy and Zoro had just arrived and the captain was looking at Umbreon with stars on his eyes.
"What is that, captain? That thing has strange powers." the kuro pirates yelled.
"Nami!" Zoro shouted "You really are a pain! You stepped on my head!"
"Usopp! Next time, you should tell me where north is!" Luffy added.
"You are that strong?" Usopp asked the captain but Kimi stopped paying them any attention in favor of keeping an eye on the pirates bellow and thinking of which of the pokemon she had with her she should use.
"Will you four stop arguing? They're getting up again" That got her friends attention.
"What are they doing?"
"Being hypnotized to get stronger, this is crazy!" Nami answered the rubber boy.
The pirates who had been beaten by Umbreon suddenly jumped up looking vicious. "Yaahh!"
"You're joking!" Kimi cried "It really worked!" Then one of the pirates punched the cliff side.
"They can destroy the whole cliff with just one punch!" Zoro added "You gotta be kidding me!
"They have been hypnotized!" Nami gasped.
"If just one guy can destroy the wall... then that many guys..." Usopp agreed, panicking.
"Yaaahh" with a war cry the pirates charged up the slope.
"You three hurry and go up the slope!" Zoro said, Nami helped Usopp to a safe spot but Kimi hesitated. "Just protect them, we will take care of the rest." She nodded and turned to follow the other two while he called Luffy, but the rubber boy charged forward with a war cry ."You've been hypnotized, too!?
"It seems he finished all of them." Nami said. She, Usopp, Kimi and Umbreon were sitting on the grass on one of the cliff sides with Zoro standing on the road bandanna on his head and one sword swung over his shoulder.
"Yep, the hypnotist's abilities turned out in our favor" Kimi agreed, it had been rather funny how Luffy had beaten half of them with his 'gum, gum, Gatling' (so that's what devil fruits can do) and the other half when the hypnotist had sent him to sleep after he took their ships figurehead to use against them. Yeah, so maybe Luffy was sleeping under it now, but it had fallen on top of the pirates too.
"But he's laying under the stem." Usopp said.
"Don't worry, he's not dead... you have better take care of yourself, first." Zoro told him. Then they heard voices from the ship. "There's still some people on the ship. What kind of creature will appear this time?"
"Nyaban brothers! Come down..." The hypnotist called. They heard voices again, and then with a shout of "Okay! Let's go!" two figures leap from the ship and landed on both sides of him. One was thin and wore a black suit shirt and short pants, the other one was fat and instead of a shirt he wore a cape with a bell on his neck. Both of them wore clawed gloves.
"What are they?" Nami asked.
"More weirdos, though that was some jump." Kimi told her.
The two newcomers were arguing with the hypnotist and they seemed scared. "What's going on? Aren't they good?" Usopp said.
"I don't know..." Zoro started.
"They both seem scared..." Nami finished.
Eventually the thin one charged Zoro crying "Prepare to die...! My claws are really sharp!"
"What can you do to me with those claws...?" Zoro said angrily while Kimi sweatdroped. "If you don't stop now I'll attack you!" But when the kuro pirate reached him his demeanor changed and he lunged at Zoro, luckily he was able to block and send his attacker back.
"So he was just acting scared?!" Usopp asked surprised.
"Zoro, your katanas..." Nami started to tell the swordsman.
"Eh... Where did they go!" He cut her.
"He took them" Kimi said pointing.
"Oh no, that guy took Zoro's Katanas!" The orange haired girl said worriedly.
"Give me back my katanas...!" Zoro ordered Sham.
"Give them back? Isn't your katana already in your hand?" he asked "Oh right, before the battle starts... I should... get this junk out of the way" and with that he threw them down the slope. "Okay... Now that's better..."
"Don't treat other's katanas... with disrespect!" Zoro shouted as he attacked the cat like pirate and went to get his swords.
"Behind you!" Kimi shouted seeing that he hadn't managed to cut the other, but it was too late, he didn't have time to do anything before Sham managed to pin him down.
"That guy... he's actually very thin!" Usopp said surprised.
"Go, Buchi! It's your turn!" The pirate sitting on Zoro's back said.
"Okay! Got it, Sham! Cat technique! Buchi's... drop kick!" The fat one shouted jumping and landing very hard where Zoro's head had been just seconds before.
"The ground cracked...!" Usopp shouted.
"Lucky he managed to get free, that could have killed him" Kimi added.
After a brief argument the two brothers attacked Zoro together, seeing him struggling Usopp shot a marble at them with his slingshot but Zoro intercepted it, this gave the two an opening and they slashed his chest.
"How could you hit him?" Nami asked angry.
"No... no... He... He deliberately blocked it with his body...!" Usopp defended himself.
"He did that...?!" she asked.
"Usopp, Idiot! Do you wanna die!?" Zoro shouted.
"He's right, you know?" Kimi told them, and seeing their surprised looks she explained "If you shoot at them they'll come after you. But he does need help, so stay here and I'll... Oy, Nami!" While she was talking the thief had jumped to the slope and was running to get the swords. "Dammit! Usopp, stay here!" she ordered before going after the other girl with Umbreon. "'Quick Attack'" she ordered when she saw the hypnotist was going to attack Nami. The attack caught the hypnotist on the chest and launched him backwards while the orange haired girl fell to the ground and Kimi and Umbreon got between her and the strange looking pirate ready to fight him, but he was looking very scared at something behind her.
"It has been pretty long since dawn. I was wondering why the plan hadn't been carried out. What the hell happened?!" They looked at the top of the slope and saw Kuro.
