Helping Twilight Win the Crown
Back in the Library of the other world, Twilight, Carol, Camille, and the dogs were waking up as morning broke and the school bell rang.
"Ok, you guys, I'm gonna really need to work hard and win votes." Twilight said.
"And we'll make sure to present your good qualities." Camille added.
"And tell the truth about Sunset if possible. This is supposed to be about honesty." Carol put in.
"Well, then we better get to work." Spike said.
"We only have till tomorrow night to get the crown back." Aang reminded them.
"I normally don't condone this unless we're doing this to a villain but let's just steal back the crown." Astral suggested.
Twilight answered, "I'm not gonna do just what Sunset Shimmer did by stealing. Besides how would the people here react if I told them about where I'm from? No offense to anyone but this world isn't like Equestria, Sodor, or anywhere else."
"None taken." they replied.
"We just got to play it by the rules here." Twilight finished. The team nodded as they entered the hallway but found everyone staring at them. Soon the giggle fits started as they continued on.
They were grabbed by Rarity who led them to a room, "Rarity, what is going on?" Carol asked in confusion.
"No time to explain right now we need to disguise you all." Rarity said. She did some measurements and started digging through her bag.
"I came prepared and brought some extra clothes." Camille told her.
Rarity had disguised Twilight and the others, "Perfect, now no one will recognize you. Although we will need some disguises for your dogs. Which is too bad, they're so adorable. Especially this purple one." Rarity nuzzled with Spike who enjoyed it.
At that moment Applejack arrived, "There you are, Twilight."
Rarity looked disappointed, "So much for the disguise."
"Why is everyone laughing at us?" Camille asked, as the rest of the girls entered.
Fluttershy popped in, "You mean you haven't seen it yet?"
"Seen what?" Twilight asked.
"We may as well see it. Did anyone bring a laptop?" Carol asked.
"Right here," Pinkie pulled one up and set it on a desk for everyone to see, "It's not that bad." She started the vid up.
They saw that Sunset Shimmer had posted a video "Twilight Sparkle wants to be your Fall Formal Princess. But what does it say about our school if we give someone like this... such an important honor?" They watched as clips played of Twilight doing awkward stuff.
"Well, it could be worse. At least she doesn't have dirt on me and Carol." Camille said.
"And who could forget those who pal around with her, slobs who have no self-control." They saw clips of the two pigging out.
"Wait for the last part," Pinkie added. It showed them walking into and out of the men's room, "I take it back. It's pretty bad."
"But all this happened yesterday. Does the whole school know about it?" Twilight asked in disbelief.
"Yep." Fluttershy confirmed.
"What do I do now? No one's gonna vote for me after this!"
"I still have your back." Camille said.
"And so do I." Carol added.
"Not that it will make much of a difference, but I'll still vote for you." Fluttershy put in.
"So will I." Pinkie offered.
"Word to the wise, don't take help from someone who doesn't listen." Fluttershy whispered.
"Why?" Camille asked.
"Yeah. Why do you got to be so mean?" Pinkie demanded.
"Oh, don't play so innocent, Pinkie Pie. Everyone knows you're no better than her." Rarity pointed accusingly at Fluttershy.
"Like you're any better, Rarity." Fluttershy called her out.
Applejack sighed, "Oh, will all of ya just let it go? What's done is done, just move on already."
"Like you moved on with what happened with Rainbow Dash?" Rarity challenged her.
"Hey, that's different!"
Once again the four began bickering, unaware that Dark Corvo was absorbing the negative energy into his staff to give it to the Sirens, "This will be a good enough batch for them." Corvo then left to deliver the energy to the sirens.
Twilight, Carol, and Camille heard enough and decided it was time to say something, "STOOOOPPPPPP!" Twilight called. The four ceased their squabbling.
"Twilight, Carol and I want to show you something." Camille said.
They pulled out the yearbook showing them the picture, "You were all friends once." Twilight reminded them.
"Ah, the freshmen fair. Y'all remember?" Applejack asked in nostalgia.
"Yes." Rarity admitted, feeling the nostalgia.
"Something happened to break you up and I think it was Sunset Shimmer." Carol theorized.
"Well, it's an interesting theory, darling. But Sunset Shimmer had nothing to do with this." Rarity assured her.
"What proof do you have?" Carol asked.
"What Carol means is what makes you think Sunset Shimmer didn't have anything to do with this?" Camille asked.
Fluttershy spoke, "Well, Sunset Shimmer isn't the one who ruined my silent auction for the animal shelter by bringing fireworks and noisemakers! It was supposed to be a serious event, and Pinkie Pie ruined it!"
Carol looked to the girl, "You actually brought fireworks and noisemakers to a silent auction, Pinkie?"
"What? I got a text from Fluttershy saying that she didn't want a silent auction. She wanted a big party!"
"Uh… I never sent you a text." Fluttershy said in confusion.
"You didn't?" Pinkie asked.
"Do you still have that text?" Camille asked. Pinkie went through her phone history and showed her, "Fluttershy, can you take a look at this real quick and check your phone to see if you sent the text in question.
"See nothing." Fluttershy said. Pinkie realized, "And you've never deleted a text."
"Which means the number of the phone the text came from has to be there. Pinkie Pie, try calling that number." Camille said.
Pinkie Pie tried dialing but came up nonexistent, "As we feared. Sunset Shimmer did this." Carol declared.
Rarity wondered, "You don't think she's the one who's been sending me those e-mails, do you? Every time I volunteer to help with the decorations at a school function, I get an e-mail from Pinkie Pie saying she has plenty of volunteers! And then I find out she's done everything herself."
"But I never sent you any emails." Pinkie said.
"Rarity, did you bring any of those emails just in case?" Carol asked.
"Of course." She reached into her bag pulling out printed emails.
"Pinkie Pie, is this your email address?" Carol asked.
"No. I changed my address after this one."
"Well, that explains a few things. Sunset Shimmer must've hacked your email address." Camille said.
"Maybe she's the reason Rainbow Dash didn't show up for my bake sale!" Applejack declared.
"Haven't you asked Rainbow Dash why she didn't?" Twilight asked.
Applejack looked ashamed of herself, "I guess I kinda stopped talkin' to her at all after that."
"Now's the time to start." Carol suggested.
"Where can we find her?" Twilight asked.
"Soccer Field." They answered.
On the Soccer Field, the team could see that Applejack was talking to what looked like Rainbow Dash. Human Rainbow Dash had the same rainbow hair style. She wore blue shoes, black shorts covered by a pink and white striped skirt, a white top with her cutie mark image along with a blue jacket.
"They're actually talking." Rarity noticed.
They watched the two converse from the distance and saw they wrapped it up with a hug, "Ooh, hugs are always good!" Pinkie cheered.
"I think we can say that we managed to repair the relationships." Carol said.
Applejack brought Rainbow over, "Somebody, and I think we can all guess who, told Rainbow Dash that my bake sale had been moved to a different day. Dash showed up with all the softball team and thought I'd cancelled on her!"
"Yep that explains that," Camille turned to Rainbow, "Rainbow Dash. We need your help. Carol and I want to help Twilight dethrone Sunset Shimmer and make her become princess of the Fall Formal."
"Well, I would love to see that happen. I'll help... All Twilight has to do is beat me in a game of one on one."
"What?" Twilight asked in worry.
"First to five goals wins," Rainbow kicked the ball into goal, "One-zip!"
"If I had known that Soccer was gonna be involved I would've gotten Maggie to help." Carol sighed.
"It's okay. I can do this." Twilight assured them.
"Good luck." Camille said.
And so the game was underway with Pinkie keeping score. Needless to say Twilight was doing a poor job, "This is sad to watch." Carol said with a face palm.
Eventually Rainbow scored five goals while Twilight had zero, "That's game!" Rainbow declared.
Twilight was lying on the field with everyone looking down on her, "I really thought you were going to pull it off there in the end." Rarity tried to lift her spirits. Everyone gave her a dry look.
"So what's the plan? How can I help you be princess instead of Sunset?" Rainbow asked.
"But I lost." Twilight said while panting.
"Of course you lost. I'm awesome. But I'm not gonna help just anybody try and beat Sunset Shimmer. The Fall Formal Princess should be someone with heart and determination. You've proved that you've got 'em both!"
"Does this mean you'll help us?" Camille asked.
"You bet." Rainbow confirmed.
"Glad to hear it." Carol smiled
"I say we go someplace else and think things over." Camille suggested.
The team nodded as they left unaware that they were being watched by Snips and Snails who had recorded the footage of Twilight and were currently showing it to Sunset Shimmer.
"We'll save these for later." Sunset said.
The boys giggled as they went to leave. Sunset was about to follow before she ran into Camille, "Going somewhere?" Camille asked.
"Well, well, if it isn't the pasta chow hound." Sunset mocked her.
"I know what you're up to, and you're playing a dangerous game here."
"Am I?"
"Yes you are." Camille nodded
"Empty threats. Come on you two. We got work to do." They walked off leaving Camille.
At the Café Camille met up with the others as they were talking, "Hey guys."
"Camille, where were you?" Carol asked.
"Trying to talk sense into Sunset."
"That's wasting time." Applejack replied.
"What are we going to do?" Camille asked.
They started pondering until Rarity shouted, "I GOT IT!" This got the attention of everyone in the cafe.
"So what's your plan, Rarity?" Carol asked.
"Well, what if we all wore these as a sign of unity?" She held up fake pony's tails and pony ears.
"That could work." Camille admitted.
"I mean we're all different in many ways, but deep down we're all Canterlot Wonder colts at heart. Sunset Shimmer was the one who divided us, but Twilight Sparkle was the one who united us. And we're gonna let everyone know it!"
"I'm in." Carol said.
"Sounds like a good plan." Camille admitted.
"Then we've got work to do." Twilight said.
While they went to work, Dark Corvo had brought the Siren's back to this world and as he did that the Sinister Sisters were having a word with Sunset Shimmer at her place.
"No doubt they're going to try and find a way to get everyone to vote for her." Sunset said.
"Which is why we have a plan in motion already." Scarlett added.
"But for this to work we need to know what your plan is. What are you going to do when you get the Fall Formal Crown?" Sapphire asked.
"I will use its magic to become all powerful and brainwash all the students at the school into becoming my minions. Then we will go to Equestria and take it over."
Sage spoke, "Sounds simple enough, but the Mirror is in the Crystal Empire and it'll be tough to get the students in there. We have some minions that can help us."
"Do tell."
"Kuros!" Scarlett called. Right on cue Train Robber themed minions appeared.
"What in the?" Sunset gasped.
Sapphire spoke, "These are the Kuros. The Train Robber themed minions of the Shadow Line Crows. They're very effective at what they do and they can pilot the Shadow Liners. How do you think we got here before the gate way to Equestria was opened?"
"Interesting." Sunset admitted.
"How about we give you a tour of the Shadow Line and how it works so we'll be able to help you get elected for the Fall Formal?" Scarlett offered.
"Please, do so." Sunset nodded. The Sinister Sisters then took Sunset on a Tour of the Shadow Line for the rest of the day and the night as well.
Next Day at School the Students were eating in the Cafeteria when the Mane Five put their plan to help Twilight get elected.
At first things were quiet with nothing normal, until each of the girls started a rhythm by using lunch trays, stomping their feet, etc. And suddenly they burst into song.

Outside the cafeteria watched Sunset and the Sisters. They scowled at this development, until Sunset saw Snips and Snails wearing the same ears and tails as the other students while dancing to the beat, "TAKE THOSE OFF!" Snips and Snails took off the ears and tails and stopped dancing to the beat, "We're going to have to once again play hardball."
"And drag the avatar and the traitor down as well." Sage added.
"Luckily we still got those snapshots." Sunset reminded them.
"But only of Twilight." Sapphire noted.
"Don't worry, she's the only problem I have." Sunset said.
Scarlett spoke, "You are aware that Carol and Camille could pose a problem and could sign up to take Twilight's Place in the Fall Formal right?"
"Good point. We'll need to get them out of the way as well."
"Already taken care of. I put some colon blow in their drinks today while they weren't looking and it should be kicking in right about now." Scarlett said.
"Perfect. Now then, we've got work to do."
"Let us handle it. We've got a plan in motion." Sapphire said.
Later in the hallways Twilight and the human mane five were talking while Carol and Camille had to excuse themselves to go to the bathroom.
"Oh, doesn't everyone look fabulous?" Rarity asked.
"It was a great idea, Rarity." Twilight smiled.
"If this doesn't get Twilight elected I don't know what will?" Rainbow added.
Applejack looked ahead seeing Sunset and her entourage looking smug, "Now what's she all smug about?"
"I don't know but this can't be good." Fluttershy feared.
They watched as they went to a room, as Sunset Shimmer knocked on the door. Stepping out was Vice-Principal Luna, "Oh, Vice-Principal Luna it's terrible!" Sunset began.
Twilight, Spike, Aang and Astral got a good look at Vice-Principal Luna. She wore dark pants, and a magenta colored top with a moon image on the collar. Her hair looked exactly like Princess Luna's, but without the majestic wave. Camille and Carol were at the gym seeing it wrecked as soon as they got out of the bathroom.
"What the heck happened here?" Camille asked.
"This is terrible." Carol feared.
Vice Principal Luna, Sunset Shimmer and Sunset's entourage arrived at seeing the state of the gym, "Look what happened to the gym and after Pinkie Pie worked so hard to make it perfect." Sage put on an act.
"But Twilight had to ruin everything." Sunset added.
"And why would you assume it was Twilight who committed this act of vandalism?" The Vice Principal asked.
"Because we have proof." Scarlett handed Luna an envelope with some photos in it. The Vice Principal accepted the envelope.
"I thought you might like to know that Twilight had a little help from those two girls who pal around her." Sapphire added.
Later on in the office Twilight, Carol, and Camille were all sitting down facing Vice-Principal Luna.
"What? There's a mistake, we would never do a thing like that!" Twilight protested.
"I'm an honest to goodness down to girl who loves southern food." Carol added.
"And I was once a troublemaker but I've reformed." Camille admitted.
Vice Principal Luna showed them the pictures, "But these are you girls in the pictures am I wrong?"
They saw it was of pictures of them looking like they were trashing the gym, "Let me see those real quick," Camille said. V.P. Luna handed Camille the Photos as Camille examined them. "These are fake."
"And how do know that?" Luna asked.
Right on cue a male entered the office, "Flash Sentry has the evidence we need to clear our names." Camille said.
He was a tall boy with blue hair, and was wearing jeans, a white shirt with a lightning bolt shield on it, and over it was a black jacket.
"There you are, Flash. Did you bring the evidence that we needed?" Carol asked.
"Right here. I found these in the trash bin in the library," Flash handed the Vice Principal some more pictures with cuts in them. V.P Luna saw what Flash was talking about, "It looks like somebody spliced these photos of Twilight to make it look like she and her friends trashed the gym."
"I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, Flash," Luna began, and turned to the girls, "In light of this new evidence, I will not pass any punishment on any of you."
The three sighed in relief, "Thank you, Flash. I really appreciate this." Twilight smiled.
"Well, I wouldn't be much of a Canterlot Wonder Colt, would I?"
"No you would not." Camille agreed.
"But what do we do now? Unless we come up with a plan the dance will be delayed till tomorrow night." Carol added.
"Well, unless there's a miracle it will have to be postponed. If you'll all excuse me, I need to see my sister about this." Luna took her leave.
Flash spoke, "So, Twilight, I was wondering if you weren't going anywhere tomorrow night I was hoping you'd be my date for the fall formal?" Twilight felt sheepish at Flash's question.
Camille spoke, "I'm sorry but Twilight, Carol, and I have to take a rain check." The trio then rushed out of there.
At a clothing store where the rest of the girls were, the trio were in one of the dressing rooms talking about their next course of action.
"Everything ok in there?" Rarity asked.
"Yes." Carol answered.
Twilight spoke to the two and the dogs, "Oh, but it's not ok. Not one bit. If we don't get my crown by tonight, we'll be stuck here for thirty moons."
"We could just tell them the truth?" Camille suggested.
"Camille's right. It's the only way to get the dance going by tonight." Aang added.
"And we'll confront Sunset Shimmer and give her one last chance to turn down this dark path." Astral put in.
Twilight looked unsure, until Spike spoke up, "Listen to them, Twilight. Let the others helps us."
"It's our only chance Twilight." Carol reminded her.
Twilight put on a brave face, "You're right, guys."
Twilight and company came out to face the Mane Five, "We've got something to tell you." Carol began.
"Everything ok?" Applejack asked.
"I'm afraid not. The Fall Formal is happening Tomorrow night." Camille explained.
"WHAT?!" Pinkie shrieked.
"It had to be postponed because Sunset Shimmer had Snips and Snails ruin all of Pinkie Pie's decorations." Twilight explained.
"With help from the Sinister Sisters." Carol put in.
"WHAT?!" Pinkie shrieked again.
"But the Fall Formal has to happen tonight!" Camille declared.
Before Pinkie could shriek again, Applejack clamped her mouth shut.
"Because the truth is…." Carol was about to speak before Pinkie Pie interrupted.
"You're all from another world. Twilight's a pony princess. Camille's part of an ancient clan of thieves, and you all came here to take back a powerful artifact used to protect your world, and if you don't make it back by tonight the portal which brought you here will be closed for a super long time! And Carol is the Avatar able to bend Fire, Air, Water, and Earth at once while most people who can bend can only bend one of those four elements." Twilight and Spike were slack jawed and wide eyed at Pinkie's deductions.
"I'm pretty sure this isn't the reason." Rainbow said.
"Nope. She's pretty much spot on." Spike answered.
"All of what she said is true." Aang added.
"So now you know why we have to get the Crown back by tonight." Astral finished.
"They can talk?!" Rarity cried.
"Yep and where we come from we're not even dogs. We're dragons." Spike answered.
Fluttershy gasped. This is so amazing! Tell me, what are you all thinking right now?!" Spike, Aang, and Astral, were mildly disturbed by Fluttershy gazing at them with the brightest smile they've ever seen.
"Will you guys help us get the gym ready for the Fall Formal or not?" Carol asked.
"Wait a just a minute, Twilight's a Pony?" Applejack asked.
"A Princess?" Rarity added.
"And from another world?" Fluttershy finished.
"And Camille comes from a long line of thieves and Carol's some Avatar?" Rainbow asked.
"That about covers it." Twilight confirmed feeling nervous.
"That... is... AWESOME!" Rainbow declared.
"And I can handle all forms of Magic and Spirit Energy but we don't have time for this. We gotta clean up the gym." Camille put in.
The team then saw the damage that had been done to the Gym, "I simply cannot believe they did all this!" Rarity said in disbelief.
"If only I had some sort of party cannon that could decorate everything super-fast." Pinkie sighed.
"I'd conjure on in a heartbeat but I'm not sure that the Principals will allow the use of Cannons on School grounds." Camille said.
"I know it seems impossible, but if we all work together we can pull it off." Twilight encouraged them.
"How about you six get to work?" Carol suggested.
"Carol and I need to take care of business." Camille said.
"You betcha. Come on, y'all, let's get started!" Applejack declared.
Rarity, "Absolutely!"
Rainbow Dash, "Rock on!"
Pinkie Pie, "Yes, indeedily!"
Fluttershy whispered, "Yaaay!"
While they went to get started Carol and Camille looked to find Sunset Shimmer, "Where do you think she is?" Carol asked.
"Right over there," Camille said, and she found Sunset by a darkened hallway, "Sunset!"
Sunset Shimmer looked back, "So you managed to once again slip by. You're very lucky."
"Sunset it's not too late to turn back. You still have a chance to return to Equestria." Carol tried to reason with her.
"Oh, I will be returning to Equestria. Better than ever!"
"Do you really think the Sinister Sisters care about you? What did they promise you?" Camille demanded.
"What I wanted from the start, but Princess Celestia refused to give it to me."
"I can see why she didn't give you what you wanted." Carol answered.
"I was her personal student! I studied everything, memorized all the important spells and history. I did it all for her! But what I did was never enough!" Sunset bellowed.
"You sound like me once when I served in the forces of Darkness." Camille noticed.
"So I've heard."
Carol and Camille then left but not before Carol said something else, "Just don't say we didn't warn you." Carol finished. Sunset scowled as they left.
Back at the gym the girls were beginning to clean up. Suddenly more students started arriving and were pitching in and once again bonding with students outside their usual stereotypes.

With Twilight, the girls, and everyone in the school coming together the gym was as good as new, "I'd say we're ready for the Fall Formal to go on tonight." Carol said.
They heard clapping as both Principal Celestia and V.P Luna stood in the door way, "Ok, everyone. Fall Formal is back on for this evening!" Celestia began, "Now if I were you I'd go and get ready."
"Don't forget to cast your vote for the fall formal princess on your way out." Luna reminded them.
The students started voicing their votes for Twilight before dropping their ballots into the ballot box. While they did Sunset and the Sinister Sisters were watching as were Snips and Snails.
"Good thing the Sinister Sisters told me about the Shadow Line or this would've been worse." Sunset said.
"We still have one final chance to make this right." Scarlett assured her Sunset and her group were putting their plan into motion.
