(A/N: Hi! I'm so glad people are enjoying this story as much as I enjoy writing it! Here is where things get tricky! Enjoy! I still do not own Scorpion! That stinks…)
The small family finally made it to the garage. The three climbed out of the car, as Cabe was coming out to see them. "Hi, Uncle Cabe!" Kendall waved at him as Happy helped her out of her seat.
Cabe smiled, "Hey, beautiful, do you feel better?"
"Lots!" Kendall told him as she gave him a quick hug.
"Good, run inside Sloane brought some games today," Cabe said as he nudged her to the door.
"What do we got, Cabe?" Toby asked as he and Happy followed Cabe inside.
"Bomb threats," Cabe glanced at the two, "With the information the treats were sent with, we know it was from a phone all that kind of thing you hackers are better at than me. Well Walter and Ralph were able to track that signal to an area where the bombs are to go off."
Paige ran over to Happy and handed her a pair of glasses.
Happy suddenly grinned before running off to her station, "Be right back!"
"Going undercover, are we?" Toby asked.
"Paige, Ralph, Sylvester and Happy are. Need you here," Cabe told him.
"What for?" Toby asked.
Cabe pointed to the screens set up, "The glasses are equipped with cameras that feed directly to these screens. Added a camera to Sylvester's glasses. You will be here at these screens with me, while Walter takes Paige, Ralph, Happy and Sylvester to the area Walter and Ralph pinpointed. You of course will do your thing of reading people, we hope to catch this guy fast."
"Let's do it!" Toby said clapping his hands once. Happy ran back to everyone now wearing the glasses. Toby noticed, "Wow, you should wear glasses more often." He pulled her to him giving her a quick kiss.
"Let's go," Walter called from the door. Sylvester, Ralph, and Happy made their way over to him and out to the van. Paige followed behind and gave Walter a peck on his lips a she walked by.
Soon, Walter and the group arrived at the location and began to spread out. They walked around for nearly ten minutes before Toby spoke up.
"Happy, to your left. Male, possibly fifteen years old. Pacing, tugging as sleeves checking his phone. So many nervous habits, it's off the charts and I can't list them all. I would BET you anything that boy is involved," Toby explained.
"Got him," Happy said making her way toward the boy carefully so he wouldn't run.
When Happy was within five steps of him, Toby saw it. He boy's jacket shifted slightly. "Happy, wait!" Toby called over the headset.
"Doc..." before she could retort with 'He's just a kid and I can handle myself' the boy had ahold of her, her back to him, he had a not so strong grip on her arms in front of her, she was loosely pinned to his chest. She could now feel why Toby wanted her to wait, the boy had a bomb strapped to his chest. Yet none of this was why she stayed still; the gun to her head did that.
The boy began to whisper in her ear, "I highly suggest you do not move, I would hate to fire and make the bomb explode prematurely." It was strange his voice sounded strained as if maybe this was not his doing. The boy simply sounded scared. In any case, Happy obeyed.
Cabe spoke over the headset, "Paige, Ralph, Sylvester, get out of there, now."
Ralph looked into his mother's glasses camera. "We can't just leave, Happy."
The boy walked Happy to an ally way, before making her sit.
This time Toby spoke, "Ralph, I love Happy. I promise, we are not just leaving her. Cabe is right get out of there now."
Happy then faked a cough only her friends understood, "GO!"
"Good luck, Happy," Ralph whispered as the three of them quickly made their way back to the van. Walter scooted over some to give them space to see the van screens.
The group could all see the gun still pointed at her face. The boy got a call. "I'm sorry…. I didn't have a choice…. I understand…. Give me one moment, please?" He focused on Happy, "Take off your glasses. And take out any ear pieces you have."
"What makes you think I have ear pieces? Also, I need my glasses to see," Happy said as calmly as she could.
"First, he has eyes everywhere. Second, as you approached me I distinctly her you say 'Got him.' And just before I grabbed you, you said 'Doc'. You are communicating with someone. Remove it now, please," the boy took as step toward her and held out his hand.
Happy sighed; she knew she couldn't lie to him about it, so she pulled the earwig out of her ear and placed it in his hand.
He dropped it on the ground and stomped on it causing some screeching in the rest of the teams ears. "The glasses?"
"I mean it I'm practically blind in one eye. Here you don't believe me see for yourself," Happy slowly removed her gasses and held them out to him. "If you don't plan on killing me right now, I suggest you let me keep them because if I'm without them for too long and I am walking I tend to start stumbling. And I agree I wouldn't want that bomb to go off prematurely."
He grasped the side of the glasses and held them up to his face, and had to blink a few times, "Right, the left eye apparently. Here put them back on."
"Attagirl," Cabe grinned though he knew Happy couldn't see it.
Toby also smiled, "Yea, that's my girl!"
The boy held his phone back up to his ear, "She really does need her glasses…. Right wouldn't want to risk the bomb…. Understood see you soon. Change of plans, we are taking a ride."
Toby spoke though his ear piece, "Guys, this is very bad. What I'm getting from this kid, is he is being controlled possibly emotionally. He doesn't seem to be doing this willingly."
Walter then spoke up, "His hat and sunglasses are making facial recognition very difficult. However, perhaps soon he will take them off."
"Walter, get everyone back here. I don't want you to follow them. That bomb puts not only Happy, you guys if you follow them, but nearly half of LA at risk. Get back here so we can figure out what to do next," Cabe commanded them. He really didn't want to leave her hanging, but it was only logical to have the remaining geniuses together. Logical. Apparently, you spend enough time with Walter and things will rub off.
(A/N: What happens next? Will the bomb go off and take out half of LA with it? Will Happy and the cyclone be reunited? If so, will she ever get that conversation she needs with her father? Find out in the next chapters!)
