It's the return all of you have been waiting for, the return of Another World: Youhei and Ryou! School really has been hard this year and I was pretty stressed. But now I'm back and hope to update more often. There will be almost no more sans kuns or chans, simply due to the fact I write to you from my Kindle. But, here we go!
Clannad's the property of Kyoto Animation and Key.
"So Sunohara," Tomoya began, "where are you taking all of us?"
"Come on Okazaki, telling you would ruin the surprise! Trust me, I got just the place I know you'll all enjoy." Youhei replied with a look of confidence in his eyes.
"Well, okay then..." Tomoya sighed.
Time passed, and they finally arrived at there destination, and much to the surprise of everyone, except Tomoya, Youhei had chosen a fast food restaurant for him and Ryou to have their ''date''. Clearly, Youhei wasn't cut out for choosing where to eat.
"Well, that settles it. Come on Nagisa, I'll take you home.", Tomoya declared.
"Well, okay then Tomoya. I agree with you.", Nagisa replied.
"Wait!", Youhei began pleading, ''at least try their delicious ramen, please!''
"Thanks, but no thanks." with that, Tomoya and Nagisa were gone.
...
"Well... I wasn't planning on eating with them anyway, onii-chan." Mei said in an effort to comfort her brother.
Ryou tried to help too, "Y-yeah, Su- Youhei, w-we don't need them to enjoy our date, right?"
"Yeah..." Youhei started, morale shattered. "It really is a shame though, I thought they'd stay for the ramen."
"Well, while we're on the subject of Okazaki and Furukawa," May inquired, "Don't couples usually hold hands?"
"...Oh, you're right!", sweat started going down Youhei's brow as he talked, "Come on Ryou, let's hold hands..."
"Huh? Oh, s-sure, Youhei...", Ryou blushed, but she was blushing a tiny bit less every time. It wasn't too noticeable, but it was enough to assure Mei it wasn't the first time they'd held hands.
"Well, I believe in your relationship now," Mei said, "well I gotta go rent a hotel room, so, bye." with that she was gone.
Youhei tried to reach for her, but ultimately gave up. "Gosh, I should've known eaten here was a bad idea. I'm such an idiot sometimes." he tried to laugh it off but couldn't hide the disappointment. "Well Ryou... I guess you can go home."
"N-no!" Ryou replied, "Since you wanted to takes us here, I can at least try it."
...
Youhei seemed to lighten up, "Well, okay Ryou. But if you don't like it, you can go home."
Ryou smiled. Seemingly succeeding in cheering Youhei.
Mei however, spied on them. To see whether or not they were faking it.
"Table for two, please." Youhei said.
"Oh," the counter lady began, "are you two on a date?" she had the typical counter lady smile on her face as she said it.
"Yeah, sure." Youhei coughed this out, forcing another smile in the process.
"Okay, right this way please!" the lady sat them near the corner of the restaurant, there was a baseball game playing on a television on one of the walls. The walls themselves had a wavy feeling to them. On their table, there was a ''candle'' powered by electricity and two menus. They took a seat.
"Okay, you guys take your orders. I'll be back in a few minutes." with that, the lady went to serve the next person to come in.
Ryou was surprised by the atmosphere of the restaurant, "Wow Youhei, this place doesn't seem half bad..."
"That's what I was trying to tell you." Youhei responded. "You know," Youhei whispered, "you don't have to me Youhei anymore. Mei's gone and we don't need to practice right now."
Ryou responded, "I guess you're right... b-but, it just, feels... like... I need too?"
Youhei gave her a skeptic look, before finally saying, "Well... Okay then. It's fine with me. I guess I would've still called you Ryou anyway. So it's fine."
"Thanks." Ryou responded with a smile on her face.
"You're welcome, I guess." Youhei didn't think she needed to thank him but thought it was a nice gesture.
The lady returned, "Are you ready to take your order?"
"I'll just have regular ramen.", Youhei answered.
"And you, young lady?"
"Uhhhh..." Ryou hadn't taken the time to order, "I'll just have what he's having."
"Okay, I'll be back with your food in a few minutes." the lady ran off again.
"She seems pretty nice..." Ryou mumbled.
"Ahh, not really," Youhei began, "they're all pretty much like that, trust me."
"Well, okay then..."
In the end, Ryou and Youhei enjoyed there time at the restaurant. Youhei was the one who decided to pay. It was the end of the day and they were just about to part ways when Youhei brought something up.
"You know Ryou, after today we can finally stop doing this. You and I can go back to our normal ways!" he smiled as he said this.
"N...no." Ryou responded.
"Huh?" Youhei was confused. "Why not?"
"Because... Well, can we just be together for a little bit longer?" Ryou asked.
"But why?"
"Because... I don't know!"
Youhei slightly chuckled before answering, "Fine. But just for a little bit longer, okay?"
Ryou face slightly lit up, "Okay!"
"Well, I should probably head back to my dorm. See you tomorrow!" with that, Youhei ran off.
It was lunch period, Youhei slid down to Tomoya's desk and asked, "Okazaki, do you want to go down to the cafeteria and pick something up?"
"Not really," Okazaki replied, "Nagisa's been making me lunch for a while now and I've got to say she definitely inherited from her father's side of the family."
"Come on, Okazaki! It's been so long!" Youhei pleaded his case, but it was to no avail as he gestured a goodbye and walked out on him.
Ryou, who was handing out papers to the other students, looked at Tomoya and blushed, but looked away. Her feelings were a complete mess. She still liked Tomoya, but thought he and Nagisa should stay together and keeps silent. And besides that...
She was just finishing up when Youhei asked, "Ryou, you want to head down to lunch with me. Okazaki copped out on me, and well, I don't have any money for my lunch..."
"Youhei, it's not nice to ask people for their lunch money, it's not nice!", Ryou began, "but, I have an extra fifty cents, so... h-here you go."
"Well, thanks..."
Ryou walked to the door, "Well, are you going to take me to lunch or not?"
"Huh?", Youhei got snapped out of his moment of thought, "Oh yeah, sorry about that."
He joined up with her and they both walked together to lunch.
Well, I'm finally back! Please make sure to tell me whether or not you enjoyed, and whether you did or didn't, point out something I can improve on! I'm always looking to improve and always love feedback. Until then, farewell until next chapter!
