Storming up the stairs, the mayor made her way to the rooftop and banged the door open with magic, forcing it to slide open as she marches through. A frustrated growl escapes her lips at finding the place empty. She was so sure he was there. As she turns around to head downstairs, the sound of a bottle rattling caught her attention and she peered around the corner, finding a hidden lying down among several empty bottles. Once she distinguished that he was still alive, she turned again to leave but paused as he mumbled something. She had a strong urge to just leave him but as soon as he said 'Hook' she turned around and strode towards him.
"Where. Is. He." She orders Whale, frowning in disgust at the drunken sight of him. She wondered why she even joined them when they drank.
"Who?" He blinks confusedly, struggling to sit up. When it doesn't work, he groans and lies back down, shielding his eyes from the sunlight.
"Hook. That sorry for an excuse of a Captain." Regina explains as she magic's away the empty bottles. Whale grabbed on tightly to his bottle, afraid it will be the next to disappear.
"Ah. He left a few …" He squints as he tries to remember, the drink making him sluggish. "..hours ago? Left me some rum."
At that, Regina huffs and folds her arms, looking over the rooftop. Whale just pretended she wasn't there and went back to dozing. But he could still sense her standing there, so rigidly she might as well been a statute. Yet a live statue, from the tension rolling off her shoulders, he was surprised she hadn't thrown a fireball yet.
He knew he would regret it, but he peeked an eye open and glanced at her, "Is everything okay? Something I could help with?"
"/You/?" She asks with a scoff, "No thank you, I don't need your help."
"I am a doctor" He muttered.
With a roll of her eyes, Regina replies, "By my own doing. Please don't pretend it's anything else, dear."
"Jeez you're really not nice."
"And you're drunk."
They let it end with that and let the silence take over them, each in their own spot, musing the thoughts running through their head. It was after some time that Whale talked again, finally shifting into a sitting position.
"But thanks to you I got a second chance." He says simply,
Regina looks to him warily, thinking he's joking. At her expression, he carries quietly.
"Here, I'm not the one who killed his brother. So thank you."
Folding her arms, Regina doesn't reply to his statement. She looks back over the town, her eyes searching for something. "Maybe we should have stayed in the enchanted forest. The curse didn't really work now, did it." She says in a low tone, whether to the doctor or to herself, she isn't' sure herself.
"Oh really?" Whale says with a smirk, slowly getting up from his seat.
At his tone, Regina quickly looks back to him with a glare, "What is that supposed to mean?"
"It means I think its right in front of you and you're ignoring it." He tells her with a pointed look, ignoring her stare. Regina follows his line of sight, watching to see what has his focus completely. Her eyes land on Hook walking alongside Emma, laughing.
