Dear Diary
I discovered not parts to my shield yesterday, I could make a vampire burn to a crisp so once they were ashes I absorbed their powers, not a power I enjoy. I could kill everyone in the room without even trying, but I didn't want to now they were my family. Yet that feeling never left. The way I felt when I was all alone knowing that my child was growing up without me. That I was the person that should be helping my little daughter grow up, deal with the boy problems, and watch her fall in lov-
The tears build up in my eyes making me wish that I could cry. I want that relief that comes from the tears that spill onto the pages, but there is no time for reminiscing on the past I need to move on and then make my way to the throne room. Apparently there is a "good friend" of Aro's that's coming over. Of course there needs to be more happy people surrounding me. Although I have to admit it has gotten a little easier since I joined Aro's personal guard, it was like there was a connection or something that kept me sane when I was around him. Over time I tried to gain more friends as soon as I joined Aro's guard. Jane has started to become one of the closest friends that I had, but when there was anyone other than her, Felix, or Dimitri I just shut down. In order to avoid any of them setting me into that state of the depression instead of them calling me Bella, they call me Iz. Back to that former version of myself that I had.
I walked over to my oversized closet and picked out some black sneakers and pulled them unto my feet, and pulled out my cloak and draped it over my shoulders while pulling the hood up. There was an order to the colors of cloaks that each of the guard had. The lighter the color the more expendable you were and the darker powers showed that you were "higher up on the food chain" so to speak.
As soon as my cloak was buttoned Jane jumped through the door. "Hey Iz! Are you ready to go? Aro needs you in the throne room right now the guests have arrived early, and he won't let them through without you there!" her hand went around my wrist and she started pulling me to the throne room. "Don't worry it will be just another day on the guard." Jane was always so peppy.
Before I went through the large, oak doors I pulled my wrist out of her hand and smoothed down my cloak, draped my hood over my head, and pulled the Volturi necklace out from my shirt so that it was visible to anyone that would walk by, or in this case be in the room. I took a deep calming breath and pushed the doors open.
The throne room was beautiful in its own way the whole thing was black, gold and marble. The whole design was truly stunning. I walked up to the kings and bowed before moving between Aro chair and Caius. The rest of the personal guard filed into the room in that orderly fashion that only the Volturi could pull off. Then Aro sent Gianna to bring in the guests.
I whispered to Aro, "Could they be a possible threat?" Normally I wouldn't care, but I knew nothing about this particular coven so I wouldn't take the chance.
He spoke back without even looking, "Most definitely a major threat." Then they walked through.
They walked with such poise and grace one would automatically be able to tell that they weren't normal. I went into high alert my trained eyes searched for the possible danger. There were only two, both males, and they both had a strong build they also looked very familiar. And they both looked like they knew something that I didn't and it irked me to know end. Man, maybe I was spending too much time with Aro, so I'm picking up all of those fancy words that he uses, no Iz you need to focus.
Aro, like always, started, "Well my good friends it's been a long time, what brings you back to Voltura? Coming back to join the guard perhaps, sick of living alone?" He cocked his head to the side.
What was he doing? I lifted my gaze to the "intruders" and was shocked, it was Stefan and Vladimir. Then I pieced together the fact that they weren't her for a friendly gathering, but what were they trying to accomplish by coming here. I narrowed my eyes at Vladimir, they were up to something and I would get to the bottom of it.
Vladimir responded, "No Aro, we came back for some revenge." Then he snapped his fingers and someone grabbed me from behind, and twisted my head, by the size of the hands I had to assume that it was another male. Of course Jane just another day in the eyes of the Volturi. I was in quite a pickle here, I can't get my shield around him and crush him with his hands still on me. I looked to the Romanians, and saw them smirking. They knew that I was the King's biggest line of defense and knew that Aro wouldn't risk me.
Then two more people came through the doors only instead of reinforcements they went to stand behind Stefan and Vladimir. Just great more people that I need to hurt. The guard started moving slowly toward the threat.
Stefan started speaking for the first time all night, "Now we wouldn't want to do that, which would only get more people hurt before the fight even starts." He made a hand movement that I didn't understand until the hands tightened on my head making cracks in my skull and I let out a grunt.
Before my noise nobody even looked my way, but then all eyes were on me. The eyes in the room widened in terror that their greatest asset would be lost. That's all that I was, something that they could use, other than the real friends that I had made.
Vladimir chuckled darkly when the realization came in, "Now that I have your attention we need to strike a bargain."
A/N: I was gonna leave it there but I'm too nice :p
Aro stood up, "I will do no such thing until my guard is released." Aro was trying to sound tough, but I saw right through his façade he was afraid, but for himself for me I didn't know.
Stefan answered for him, "You see she is the only bargaining chip that we have possession of in this room, so while we have her you will do whatever we want. And I just want you to know that we know what you are trying to hide." He finished with an evil smirk on his face.
What could Aro be hiding? He has never lied to me in the entire time that I have been here, why would he start here? With a million questions going through my head I didn't notice the guy pulling me towards Vladimir and Stefan, but when I did I started struggling for all that I was worth. The guy retaliated by squeezing harder on my neck, so in turn I stopped dead in my tracks. I was now standing in front of the "dynamic duo". Scared out of my mind I decided it was best to put on the dead face and stay strong while the boys did their negotiating.
Vald, as I started to call him, spoke again and I knew that I wouldn't like it, "You seem very fond of this little girl, Aro. Why is that?" He turned to me and drew his finger from my hairline to my lips, and it made me shiver. His breath hit my face and made me want to vomit even though I knew that it was impossible, "Such a pretty little thing, I might just keep her." I could tell that his intentions were not pure what so ever. I shuttered from the thought.
Caius and Marcus stood up in outrage. Caius had become like my uncle because I was the only one that would put up with all his attitude crap. Marcus was like my own personal shrink, the person that I went to if I needed help or if my emotions were too overpowering. Either way they were both very close to me.
Caius shouted, "She will never go anywhere with the likes of you! She will stay right here!" I haven't seen Caius so angry man I would hate to be them.
Even Marcus stepped up, "Let go of her this instant!"
Stefan spoke quietly so only our little group could hear, "Now we must keep her brother, they all care about her so much."
Vlad said, "You are right, but we should try to get more out of it before we teleport out of here." He turned to me, "No speaking slave or we will have you decapitated and up in flames before someone could scream Iz." Then he moved to Aro, "Now we will let little Isabella go on one condition. We want one of each of your personal guards. What will it be? I'll give you a minute to decide."
Vlad walked back over to me and got right in my face and whispered to me, "Get ready to be mine girl, my slave, and my guard." Then moved to the guy behind me, "Be ready once they decide, we either wait for the three then teleport, or we leave with just Isabella before they even suspect anything."
Aro stepped forward and spoke to me, "I'm so sorry Isabella." Then whispered to Vlad, "You are dead." Then the guard rushed forward
Stefan and Vladimir spoke in unison, "No, but Isabella would wish she was." before anyone could get to us we were out of the room.
My only thought was oh shit my life just got a lot worse.
