I woke up to Fang's tail tickling my nose. I snorted and batted it away with one paw before crawling out of our shared den.
I saw Rowan and went over to her.
"Hey," I said. "Thanks for letting us join your, um... pack."
She nodded.
"Hey, you wanna come hunting with me?" she asked.
I smiled, just like old times.
"Sure," I said and followed her out of the clearing.
