Here's chapter 4!
Sorry for the really long wait. I had a few chapters to finish, I had a difficult time working on this, writers block, and I've been really busy and tired lately.
I want to thank SailorMarble14 for the idea in the beginning and everything else she thought of for this chapter. Thanks hon'!
And "Stace" is the nickname that Shawn would think of for Stacy.
Also, this story will no longer become a crossover. I know Stacy is daughter of an Eureka Seven character and there are characters from the anime but this is mostly a total drama story and I know now that crossovers don't get a lot of recognition.
Next chapter: Stacy helping her team catch a monkey and figuring out why Jasmine is angry at Shawn.
Until next time, enjoy!
I don't own Total Drama, Eureka Seven, or any of the characters.
I only own Stacy, Gina, Matt, and Hank. They are my OCs.
Chapter 4: A New Brother
Nighttime fell on the island and while everyone else was asleep, Shawn was up in his tree where he sleeps, keeping an eye out for any "zombies" loose on the island. What bothered him the most was not the "undead apocalypse" he had feared for years, but what was going on with Stacy earlier that day.
"I wonder why Stacy was so upset?" he asked himself, "Did that all shocking affect her somehow? I wish I knew what's wrong but she won't tell me. But, a promise is a promise and I won't bother her about it until she's ready to tell me."
Suddenly, he heard a low growl from a distance and took out his binoculars to see what it was. Right in the trees was a big and very creepy-looking creature covered in moss and it didn't look friendly either.
"Oh my gosh! A zombie!" he said in fear, "I have to warn the others!"
Very quickly, he climbed down the tree and made a run towards the cave. As he got closer, he saw a scared Stacy running right out of the cave and towards him.
"Shawn! Shawn!" Stacy cried as she ran to her friend.
"Stacy, what's wrong?" Shawn asked as she hugged him.
"I saw a m-monster in the woods!" she said with frightened tears, "It looked so scary and I thought he hurt you!"
Seeing his little friend in distress, he knelt down and gave a comforting hug to Stacy.
"Don't be scared, Stacy." he said softly, "I'm not gonna let that thing hurt you."
"You don't think it's one of those zombies you talked about, is it?" she asked as she looked up.
"Maybe." Shawn pulled away and placed a hand on her shoulder, "But don't you worry, kiddo. I will protect you no matter what."
"You promise?" she asked.
"I promise." Shawn gave her a pinky swear, "I won't anything hurt you. But, I think you should go back to the cave where it's safe. I'll handle the monster."
"What?!" Stacy said with wide eyes, "No, you can't do that! It will kill you!"
"Don't you worry about me, Stace!" Shawn gave a reassuring grin, "I can take care of myself. It's you I'm worried about."
"Really?" she looked into his eyes.
"Uh-huh." he nodded, "I don't want anything to happen to you and I'm willing to fight an army of undead demons just to keep you out of harms way. Besides, I've been training for this kind of thing since I was your age. I can take him on!"
Stacy sighed deeply as she lets go of her friend, "O-Okay. Just be careful, okay Shawn?"
"Relax kiddo. I'll be fine." Shawn gave her a kiss on her forehead, "Now, you go on back to the cave and stay with the others. I'll be back as soon as I can."
"O-Okay." Stacy nodded before heading back, "Bye Shawn and good luck."
"Thanks." Shawn replied as his friend ran back to the cave, "Now, to handle this beast."
As Shawn went off to face the creature, Stacy went back to the cave where the others are still asleep. She curled up on her rock bed but she had a hard time falling asleep not just because of the monster out there, but she was worried about Shawn facing it all by himself.
"Please be okay, Shawn." she thought to herself, "Please..."
Stacy continued to think about Shawn until her eyes finally gave in.
The next morning, Stacy was still sleeping when Sky tried to wake her up.
"Stacy?" she gently shook the girl, "Stacy, wake up."
"Mm. Mmm." the child stirred as she woke up, "Sky? What time is it?"
"It's morning." Sky answered, "Dave and I brought some food. You hungry?"
"Sure." she yawned as Sky helped her up.
As Stacy ate with her friends and Sugar, she immediately noticed that Shawn wasn't with them. "Where's Shawn? Wasn't he with you guys?"
"Sorry Stacy, but I haven't seen him all morning." Dave answered with a frown.
"Really?" Stacy looked away sadly, "Oh...I hope he's okay."
"Don't you worry, darlin'!" Sugar said as she gave Stacy a rough pat on the back, "I'm sure he's off chasing squirrels or something."
"I doubt it." Sky muttered and then turned back to Stacy, "It's okay, Stacy. He'll be back in time for the challenge."
Stacy was about to mention about him going to look after a monster last night when she heard Chris announcing again.
"Hello campers" he said, "Everyone meet me at the docks pronto!"
"Let's move it, y'all!" Sugar got up and darted out.
"W-Wait!" Stacy stood up as the others walked away, "What about Shawn? Shouldn't we wait for him."
"He'll probably be waiting for us at the docks." Dave held his hand to her, "Come on."
Stacy hesitated for a second but held Daves hand as he led her out of the cave and joined the others. All the while, Stacy couldn't help but worry about Shawn and wondered if he was alright.
"I hope Shawn comes back." she thought to herself, "I hope he's okay and not hurt somewhere."
Not only has the disappearance of Shawn bothered Stacy during their walk, but also the way Sugar has been treating Ella the whole time. She wondered why Sugar has been so rude and nasty to Ella every day when she had not done anything wrong to her.
"Hey Ella?" Stacy tapped her elbow.
"Yes darling?" Ella said sweetly.
"Why are you trying to be friends with Sugar?" she asked, "She acts so mean to you no matter how nice you try to be."
"Well," Ella started, "I think it's because she doesn't have a lot of friends before we all met here and I think I should be the one who tries to lift her spirits and become the best of friends."
"If you say so." Stacy shrugged in defeat.
But the only thing that's just as bad as Sugar's bitter attitude...
"Good morning, campers!" Chris said as everyone stared at him with wide eyes and jaws dropped.
Chris looked even more creepier than usual because he shaved his stubble and his face was frozen into a smile from a "slowtox" he took earlier that morning. This made Stacy and both teams all uneasy and freaked out inside before Chris announced the challenge.
"He looks scary." said a timid Stacy as she wrapped her arms around Daves leg.
"No kidding." Dave agreed with her.
"I heard that!" Chris gave them a stern glare before he continued, "Alright. Each of you has to run across the docks, grab one of the dueling sticks, and try to knock each other into the water. The first team to have three X's wins the challenge and the losing team loses another player at tonight's elimination."
Then, Chris looked over both teams and noticed that one of them was missing, "Wait. Where is Shawn?" he asked team Maskwak.
"We don't know. Beats me! Haven't seen him." they all said.
"Do you know?" Chris looked at Stacy.
"No sir." she shook her head, "I haven't seen him since last night."
"No one has." added Ella.
"Ugh!" he groaned in frustration, "Alright Team Maskwak! If Shawn isn't back here soon, he will be eliminated!"
"What?!" everyone exclaimed including Stacy.
"No exceptions!" Chris snapped, "Everyone has to participate in the challenges or they're out of the game! Now, let's get on with this, shall we?!"
The worried feeling in Stacy's heart increased tenfold because if Shawn doesn't come back in time for the challenge, he'll get kicked off and she'll never see him again. Dave saw how sad the little girl was and picked her up in his arms so he could comfort her.
"It's okay, Stacy." Dave smiled as he held her, "I'm sure Shawn will be here soon. Don't worry about it, okay?"
"I hope so, Dave." Stacy sighed sadly, "I really hope so."
He sets the girl down when his turn came up and so far, Kinosewak was ahead by a couple of dueling sticks already. Stacy stood aside and let her friends do the challenge, while she kept an eye out for Shawn.
"Come on, Shawn." she said to herself, "Where are you?"
Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, Shawn was busy searching for the "monster" who was long gone by now. He doused himself in garbage and rotten fish guts so he could blend in with any "zombies" on the island.
Some time after the challenge started, Chris sent Chef out to retrieve the boy and bring him back so he could compete with his team. A few minutes of searching Chris had finally found Shawn, who tried to run away thinking he was a zombie, and brought him back to the docks where Team Maskwak was catching up.
Stacy was the first one to see him come back and was overjoyed to see her friend again as she rushed over to give him a big hug.
"Shawn!" Stacy smiled happily, "Thank goodness you're-"
She stopped in her tracks when an awful odor came her direction as Shawn checked her for "zombie bites".
"Are you bitten?" he asked as he looked at her, "No? Oh, good. Glad you're alright."
"Thanks but, why do you smell so rank?" Stacy asked as she held her nose.
"I camouflaged myself to hide from the horde of zombies." Shawn said after he checked the others quickly, "I couldn't find the creature from last night, but I do know that there's a zombie army waiting for us right now!"
"What zombie army?" she raised her eyebrows.
"There are no zombies here, Shaw-" Sky tried to say before Dave covered her mouth, "Hang on a sec', Sky. Let me try something."
In order to motivate his friend and earn a point for their team, Dave told Shawn that they were fighting zombies and he has to knock one into the water in order for their team to win. Thought he failed to protect Jasmine from the undead, Shawn ran over, grabbed a dueling stick, and knocked her in the water. Stacy and the others were happy that Shawn earned a point but now Jasmine was furious that someone she started to have feelings for would do this to her.
"Arrrgh!" Jasmine groaned in frustration as she went back to her team.
Stacy noticed this and went over to Dave to ask him something, "Why did you do that?"
"Do what?" he said.
"Lie to Shawn about the other team being zombies." Stacy said back.
"Look I'm sorry I had to lie but I had to do something to help our team catch up." Dave said in regret, "I forgot that they had a thing for each other."
Stacy was about to say something else when she heard a growl that sounded exactly like the one she heard last night.
"What was that?!" she asked in a scared voice.
"That sounds like-" Shawn started to say before something jumped out of the water.
Right on the docks, covered from head to toe in green moss, was Amy! Everyone was shocked for not only Amy has returned but Samey was lying and disguising herself as her older twin sister this whole time. The two girls began to fight and the distraction gave the other team enough time to earn the final point and win the challenge.
"Team Maskwak wins!" Chris announced.
"Yes! Yeah! Whoohoo!" Team Maskwak cheered.
"Hooray!" Stacy cheered as well.
Her cheering died down when Chris said the other team has to go to the elimination ceremony and Jasmine glared at Shawn one more time before leaving. After the challenge was over, Shawn went to go clean himself up while Stacy waited with the team.
"Jasmine looked pretty angry when Shawn attacked her in the challenge.' she thought to herself with concern, "I hope everything will be okay and she can forgive Shawn for this misunderstanding. And now that Amy came back and ruined Samey's disguise, what's gonna happen to Samey?!"
"Whatever is the matter, dear?" asked Ella in concern, "You look troubled."
"It's nothing, Ella." Stacy shook her head, "I'll be fine."
Of course she wasn't fine, but she didn't want Shawn or the others to worry about her. She just sat quietly as the team ate and talked amongst that evening, Stacy had a bad feeling about the other teams elimination ceremony and ran over there to see what was happening.
"I hope Samey and Jasmine are okay." she thought as she ran, "I don't want to lose my friends!"
But by the time she got there, Amy and Samey were already bickering about the whole thing until Chris shuts them up.
"It doesn't matter who did what because both twins are going into the cannon!" he said.
Everyone gasped, including Stacy who happens to be standing just a couple feet away from everyone.
"What are you doing here, kid?" Chris rolled his eyes.
"Stacy, what's wrong?" Samey asked with concern.
The child, then, walked over to Samey and gave her an embrace.
"You can't vote off Sammy!" Stacy begged, "She's one of the nicest girls I've ever met! Amy's the one you should eliminate!"
"Hey!" Amy snapped, "I'm not mean-"
"Shut up, Amy!" Stacy snapped back, "No one asked you to talk!"
Everyone, including Amy, gasped at the outburst but Samey and Jasmine were the only ones who smiled.
"Please, just give Samey another chance!" she begged again.
"No more chances!" Chris said in irritation, "Samey and Amy are out of the game! And that's final!"
"But I-" Stacy stepped forward and tried to reason with him.
"Zip it!" Chris yelled at the child, "I am the host of this show and whatever I say goes! If you don't like it, TOUGH!"
Stacy's eyes filled up as she ran to Jasmine and wrapped her arms around the teens waist as she held Stacy and started rubbing her back.
"Hey, don't you yell at her like that!" Jasmine defended in anger, "She's just trying to help her friend!"
"Yeah!" Samey said as she rubbed Stacys back as well, "It's okay, sweetie. Did that mean old Chris yell at you? Aww..."
With no one noticing, Shawn looked angry when Chris yelled at his little friend and grabbed some acorns he found in the tree he was sitting on.
"Anyway, both Amy and Samey are going in the cannon together!" Chris siad in irritation, "No exceptions!"
"Fine." Samey sighed in defeat, "But, can I at least say goodbye to Stacy first?"
"Very well." Chris frowned, "But make it quick."
She went over to Stacy, placed both hands on her shoulders, and turned her around.
"It's okay, Stacy." Samey said in a comforting tone, "It'll be fine."
"But you can't go!" Stacy pleaded with tears, "You're my friend and I don't want you to leave!"
"I know, sweetie. I know." she gave the child a gentle hug, "But, there's no other way. It's just how it is on Total Drama." Then she pulled away and looked at Stacy with a soft smile, "Listen, just because I'm eliminated doesn't mean I'll go away forever. I'll see you again, someday."
"Really?" Stacy said as she wiped her eyes.
Samey, then, grabbed Stacys hand and made a pinkie swear, "I promise. To me, you're a very sweet little girl and would be a much better sister than Amy."
"Hmmph!" Amy scoffed and crossed her arms.
"Thanks." Stacy smiled, "You're very nice too."
The two friends smiled at each other before Chris broke it up.
"Alright, alright!" he pulled them apart, "Enough mushy stuff! To the cannon, twins!"
As she walked with Chris and her sister, Samey gave a small wave to the little girl, "Bye Stacy."
"Bye Samey." Stacy waved back sadly.
Both Amy and Samey were forced into the cannon and Chris and Chef blasted them off the island and out of the competition. While all the other teens left, including Chris and Chef, Stacy felt her eyes well up again as Jasmine looked at her with deep concern.
"Come here, love." she said as she opened up her arms.
Stacy hugged the older teen as Jasmine sets her on her lap and stroked her hair in a soothing manner. The little girl gave out small sobs as she rested her face on Jasmines shoulder and tried her very best to calm herself down and be strong for her friends.
"Shhh, it's okay sweetheart." Jasmine gently shushed her, "I miss Samey too."
"I wish Samey didn't have to go." Stacy wept softly, "It's Amy's fault she got kicked off! Samey should've stayed!"
Jasmine didn't say a word as she continued to comfort the small child. Unbeknownst to either of the girls, Max was watching the whole thing from the bushes and he felt just as bad for Stacy as anyone else on the island.
"Poor little girl." he thought to himself, "I wish there was something I can do to help ease her pain."
He remained in that spot for a few more seconds before finally leaving to go back to the treehouse and get some sleep.
"It hurts to lose a nice friend." Stacy said with a lump in her throat.
"I know dear, I know." Jasmine started rubbing her back, "You can go back to your team if you want."
Stacy pulled away and looked at the Australian explorer with sad eyes, "Come with me?"
Normally she would be more than glad to go with the child and made sure she was safe with the others, but she couldn't bring herself to do so after what happened with Shawn earlier. She turned around when she heard someone walking by but relaxed when it was only Topher coming to check on them.
"Everything okay here, girls?" Topher asked them.
"Topher, why don't you take Stacy back to her team?" Jasmine said sadly as she handed Stacy to her friend, "I can't face them right now."
"Sure thing, Jas." he replied as he held the girl, "Come on, sweetheart. Let's get you back over there, huh?"
"O-Okay." Stacy answered with a sniffle, "Bye Jasmine."
"Bye sweetheart." the older teen smiled softly.
Topher carried the small child back to the cave and he gave her a few pats on the back to help calm her down, but Stacy couldn't help but feel upset that Sammy was eliminated and there was nothing she could do to stop it from happening. Topher said nothing as he walked with the child in his arms but stopped in his tracks when he saw Shawn approach him with concern in his eyes.
"I'll take her now, Topher." he said as he took Stacy from Topher, "Thanks man."
"No problem." Topher gave a small smile and patted Stacy on the head, "See you later, sweetie. Okay?"
"Thanks Topher." Stacy mumbled as she hugged Shawn.
"You're welcome. Bye now." Topher waved before walking away.
"You alright, kiddo?" Shawn asked as he rubbed her back.
"No." Stacy sighed sadly, "Samey got kicked off and it's all Amy's fault! I wish I could've done something."
"Now now." Shawn comforted her as he sat down on a log while still holding her, "I know how you feel. I don't like losing friends either but there was nothing anyone could do. Chris runs the show the way he wants it and we are just part of the game."
"Yeah." she gave a small sniffle and wiped her eyes, "I just wish he wasn't so mean and heartless."
"Tell me about it." Shawn agreed with her, "Are you alright now?"
"Yeah." Stacy calmed down and gave a small smile to him, "Thanks Shawn. You're so kind and gentle."
"No problem and thanks." Shawn smiled back.
"But I gotta know, why are you so nice to me?" she asked softly, "I'm just a little kid."
"Not to me you're not." he said, "I know you are more than just a shy little girl. To me, you have a lot of greatness inside just waiting to come out. You just gotta find it inside you and unleash it."
Stacy felt comforted by Shawns words as she sat up straight and looked into the eyes of her friend. There was something she wanted to tell him and now was the right time to say it.
"You know, I've always wanted a big brother." she smiled softly.
This made Shawn look at the child in surprise, "Really?" he chuckled a little, "Well, that's funny."
"What?" Stacy asked.
"I've always wanted a little sister." Shawn smiled back.
"Really?" she said with a happy expression, "You wanted a little sister?"
"You bet, kid!" Shawn laughed as he swung her around in a playful manner.
"Hahahaha!" Stacy laughed before he stopped, "You big goofball!"
"Hey!" Shawn laughed again, "That's what big brothers are supposed to be: playful and funny!"
Stacy calmed herself again before she spoke, "So, does this mean I can call you "big brother" now?"
"Only if I can call you "sis" or "little sister"." he said with a warm smile.
To show her gratitude, Stacy hugged her new brother and he hugged her right back. "I love you, big brother." she said softly and rested her head on his shoulder.
"I love you too, little sister." Shawn nuzzled his new sister.
The two hugged for a long time before heading back for the rest of their team and they were all overjoyed that they except each other as brother and sister. However, without even showing it, Sugar was jealous that Shawn got Stacy as a sister first and felt she wanted to pull them apart so she could be Stacy's big sister.
Dave even apologized for what happened earlier but Shawn decided to forgive him as long as he doesn't pull something like that again.
Once bedtime rolled around everyone else fell asleep as Shawn was about to head outside and go up in his tree.
"Can I come with you this time?" Stacy asked quietly.
"You wanna come up in the tree with me?" he asked in curiosity.
"Uh-huh." she nodded with a grin, "I'm not afraid as long as I'm with you."
"Okay then." Shawn held her hand, "Let's go."
The two walked over to the tree and Shawn knelt down to the childs level. Stacy climbed onto his back and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You hang on tight. Okay?" Shawn told her.
"Okay." she said.
Shawn climbed up the tree, carefully, with the small girl on his back until he came across a very sturdy tree branch where they both could rest. He sets the girl on his lap, used a rope to tie them both to the tree at the same time, and he took off his jacket and wrapped it around Stacy.
"This will keep you warm." he hugged his sister.
"Thanks big brother." Stacy smiled and yawned, "Goodnight."
"Goodnight sis'." he said before he closed his eyes.
And the brother and sister fell asleep and remained that way until morning. But, what will the next day bring for the teens, hosts, and little girl on Pahkitew Island?
