Over the next few months, Piper and Leo spent as much time together as they could. They had aimed for seeing each other every day, but quickly found that they had too many other things that took up their time. However, they enjoyed the time that they were able to spend together, no matter how short it might have been.

Leo knew in his heart that he had fallen hard for Piper, but was terrified that she didn't feel the same way. Secretly, Piper had the same fears and feelings as Leo did and wanted to tell him how she felt, but was scared too. She didn't think that she would be able to handle any more rejection. Her sisters kept trying to convince her to just go for it, but she was reluctant, and made excuses whenever they brought it up.

Tonight seemed to present a perfect opportunity for the couple to express how they felt. It was the three month anniversary of when they meet and even though Piper wasn't big on celebrating these monthly anniversaries, Leo convinced her otherwise. He insisted that they spend their anniversary together and Piper agreed seeing as it was a chance to be with Leo. Maybe she could even find the courage necessary to tell him how she felt.

Piper went over to Leo's apartment around 1 pm. Tonight they planned to cook together before cuddling up on the couch to watch some movies. Piper had gotten there early so that they could go shopping for everything that they would need for tonight.

Piper took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Leo opened the door and they greeted each other with a smile.

"Ready to go?" She asked.

"Let me just grab my coat." he replied. She nodded and followed him into the apartment. It hadn't been her first time in the apartment, but it still amazed her. It was a massive place, probably close to three times the size of her apartment.

Leo came back rather quickly and the two headed out. Not much was said on the car ride to the store. They both seemed lost in their own worlds.

Once they had arrived, Leo climbed out of the car and opened Piper's door. She smiled and got out of the car. The two linked arms and began to walk towards the front of the store. Leo got a shopping cart at Piper's instruction and they began their way down the isles.

Leo wouldn't admit this out loud, but the way that Piper gathered all of the things that she needed mesmerized him. It was like she was in her element and him watching her made him fall for her that much more.

Piper realized that Leo had been staring at her ever since they walked in to the store. She stopped what she was doing and looked up at Leo.

"Is there something wrong? Do I have something on my face or something?" She asked him.

"Can't a man just stare at his girlfriend without anything being wrong?" he replied.

"I guess. It's just making me feel a little sub-conscience that's all."

"You shouldn't."

"Then why are you staring?"

"Because you being in this store, it's like this new side of you, one that is quite mesmerizing. I just can't stop staring."

"Aww thank you." She replied. She walked over to him and gave him a quick peck on his cheek. He smiled at her and watched her as she went back to picking out the rest of her groceries. She smiled back at him and led him down the next aisle.

"We only have to get the meat and one other sauce ingredient, then I'm done." She told him. He smiled at her before replying.

"That's fine. It's not like I have anything better to do."

She smiled at him and turned back to what she doing. In the corner of her eye she saw another couple down the aisle. Back when she was single, she would stare at the couple in envy to the point of tears, but with Leo there, she didn't feel the need. She was about to move on to the next shelf, but the girl called out the man's name and it stopped her dead in her tracks. She looked up at the couple and saw the one person that she never wanted to see again.

"Jeremy," she whispered as she froze, holding back the tears.

Leo watched as Piper froze and he followed her eyes. He saw a man and a woman on the other end of the aisle. He was confused. So, silently he walked up to Piper and tried to shake her out of her daze. That's when he heard her whisper Jeremy's name. His heart stopped. This man was the one that caused Piper so much pain in her past. The one that still seemed to still have a hold on her. He knew that she loved Jeremy more than she had told Leo and Leo knew that she would open up more in her own time, but Leo knew that he had to do something anyways. He had to help Piper in some way.

He didn't really know why but there was this anger that rose in him. He didn't even realize that he had moved until he stood in front of that man as he laid on the floor covered in his own blood with a broken nose.

"What the hell was that for? I'm going to sue you." Jeremy yelled as the woman helped him to his feet.

"That was for all the hurt you've caused." Leo replied.

Piper stood and watched Leo stalk over to Jeremy before hitting him. Once she regained her senses, she ran over to Leo and pulled him away from Jeremy. She heard the threat that Jeremy spewed at Leo and she saw the icy glare he threw her way. However, as she started to lead him away, she heard Leo's answer and her heart melted. No matter what happened next, she knew that Leo would always be there for her, and that he had the same feelings for her as she did for him. Why else would he break the nose of her ex that she had barely even mentioned?

Once they were out of the store, the shock of all that had happened had worn off of the both of them. Piper started staring at Leo.

"What?" He asked.

"What? Do you want to explain, what just happened in there?"

"I don't know, something just came over me and I just felt like I had to do something."

"You could've been arrested!"

"It would have been worth it."

"No it wouldn't have."

"I was protecting you."

"I don't need any protection. I could handle everything for myself."

"Oh, that's why you froze in there?" He paused, realizing what he had said and noticed how his words made her cry. Quickly he scooped her in his arms and tried to calm her down.

"Baby, don't cry. I didn't mean that. Come on. Let's just go home and forget that this ever happened." He whispered over and over in ear. Finally she stopped crying and pushed away from Leo. She ran over to the car and Leo opened it for her. She got in and shut the door behind her. Leo sighed, put the groceries in the trunk, and joined her. They sat in the car not saying anything. Leo could tell that she was still crying. He waited for her to speak.

"I'm not angry at you Leo."

"Then why are you crying and why did you storm into the car."

"I'm crying because it's true. I panicked back there."

"What happened?"

"I saw him with her and it made me angry. And I should be over him, but there is this part of me that still loves him and I hate that part of me. That's why I was crying."

"Piper," Leo started. He leaned over and placed his arms around her again. Even though it wasn't very comfortable for either of them, Piper quickly found comfort in his arms.

"I understand why you are like this. He was your first love. There is always going to be some part of you that loves him still. And seeing him move on that fast probably isn't making matters any worse," Leo continued.

"But, I've moved on from him Leo. I don't want to love him. Not because my love for him takes away for my love for you." She whispered.

She pulled away from him with a horrified expression on her face.

"What's wrong?" He asked her.

"I can't believe I just said that. I probably just scared you away. I'd understand if you never want to see me again after everything I just said." She replied a tear coming to her eyes again. He leaned in and wiped it away before capturing her lips in a searing kiss. She pulled away and looked confusedly at him.

"What was that?"

"That was my way of showing you that you didn't scare me away. I want to still be with you for as long as you let me. I love you Piper. And I don't care if this seems fast but I know wholeheartedly that I love you."

"What? Really? I love you too. And I thought that it was silly that I had all of these feelings for you so quickly and it scared me."

"Don't be scared."

"I'm not at least not any more. I love you Leo."

"I love you too Piper. Now let's go home and make that fantastic dinner you have planned for us." She nodded and the two headed back to the apartment.

"Okay, now all we have to do is put it in the oven at 350 degrees for fifteen minutes and our masterpiece will be done," Piper told Leo. Leo smiled and wrapped his arms around Piper's small waist.

"I can't believe it. I actually did it. This is the first meal that I've cooked."

"Wow, really?"

"Yep. I normally live off of take-out and pizza."

"That's really bad Leo."

"I know. It's just that I never have the time to make a full dinner."

"Understandable. Well, I'll make sure to change that for you."

"How? By making dinner for me every night."

"No, I'll teach you some quick recipes so that you can make them by yourself."

"Okay. But only because you're so cute when you cook."

The two shared a smile and a kiss. Before the kiss could get any more passionate, the time went off breaking the couple apart.

"We should take that out before it burns." Piper whispered staring into Leo's eyes.

"Yeah," he whispered back also looking into her eyes.

Piper blushed a little and pulled away from Leo. Leo smiled and watched as Piper made her way over to the oven. She grabbed the oven mitts and took the pan out of the oven. She quickly made her way over to the table and put the dish down.

"Dinner is ready," She smiled. Leo smiled back and they sat down.

"I hope it taste as good as it looks," Leo replied.

"I'm sure it will. You followed the recipe exactly, and you had me as your teacher."

"That I did. And you're a great teacher."

"Well thank you."

The two started eating the dish and ate the rest of the meal in silence.

"This actually turned out really good," Leo said. He began to clear the dishes off of the table. Piper smiled and started to help.

"It did. See, you're a great cook. You just needed a little guidance."

"I did. Wanna help me with these dishes?"

"Sure."

The two worked side by side until all of the dishes were cleaned and put away. They then made their way over to the couch to watch some movies. They decided to just watch whatever they found on tv.

About halfway through the movie, Piper turned to Leo.

"Leo,"

"Yeah."

"I forgot to mention to you that my sisters want to meet you."

"Oh."

"I mean, if you don't want to, they would understand."

"No I want to. I think you should try and set something up with them."

"Okay, I'll try to figure something out."

"I'd like that."

The couple smiled at each other, shared a quick kiss and went back to the movie. The two kept stealing glances throughout the movie and were amazed at how lucky they were to have found each other.

Once the movie was over, Piper picked up her things and told Leo that she had to go home. Leo smiled and decided to walk her to her car. Once there, they shared a kiss and looked into each other eyes again.

"Thank you for this wonderful day," Piper said.

"Thank you. Also I'm sorry for everything that happened at the store."

"Look, I think it's better that we don't remember the store okay. We just need to move on with our lives."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah because Jeremy is my past and I want to get over my past."

"Understandable."

"Good. I'll let you know about what my sisters say about dinner with them."

"Okay. Sounds like a plan. I love you Piper."

"I love you too Leo. I'll talk to you later."

"I look forward to your call. Goodbye."

"Bye," she replied before getting into the car. With one last glance at Leo she backed out of the parking space and headed home. Leo watched her leave. He sighed and thought about how bad he had it for her. Then he went back into his apartment to go to sleep.
