The Chunin Exams Part I
One week has passed and now the Zannen are thrown to the wolves in the Chunin Exams. With the Shinobi world destabilized, and fiercely competitive the chunin exams have become dark death matches. Ninja come from other villages and lands, no longer as goodwill ambassadors, but only to make a name for themselves. It is no different than a gladiator arena and the main attraction this year is the mystery of the powerful Zannen outworlders! Will they show promise, or will they be a gory spectacle for blood-thirsty patrons, and men of high estate? The exams are held on the boarder of the Land of Fire and Waterfall.
The Proctor beigns by saying,..this year the Chunin exams will be a treat because we have special guests! No I don't mean the highly esteemed Lords from the various lands, I am referring to the Konoha outlanders! I am from the Village Hidden In The Clouds, and like many of you Ninja from lands outside of Fire,..you too have heard stories of Super-ninja that came to Konohagakure from the Sky! Now is the time for us to see! Are they deities,...or duds!
The crowd erupts in laughter and then cheers!
Let it begin! Says the proctor,..the matches have been set!,..First two combatants,..step up!
Gerard replies,..Awe man!,..what am i gonna do?!,..My affinity is earth!,..earth mon',..what um I gon' do?!
You're gonna DIE!, says a Mist Ninja,.. Bwahahahaha!
Nick replies,..Don't listen to him Gerard,..you'll be fine!,..Whose your opponent?
Sheila chimes in,..That guy in the White suit. His head protector has a cloud on it. He's from the Cloud village!
Jacky, then says,..That's a good thing right!?
How's that?,...replies Nick
Cloud are lightning ninja right!,..If what this guy does is lightning or electric based, earth is good against that!
I see!,... Says Sheila,.. that's right Gerard! Go get em!
The two fighters come face to face in the middle of the ring
Aye, aye outworlder!,taunts the Cloud Ninja...I'll make it quick and painless,..or at least quick, I can't promise "Painless," Bwahahaha!
FIGHT!,...screams the Proctor
The Cloud ninja backs away to get a running start,..then darts toward Gerard and pulling out a kunai, cloaked in electricity
I gotta do something, thinks Gerard but what?,..Oh Shuriken,..take this! huh?!,...he's gone!
Gerard's shuriken totally missed, making him look stupid
Here I am, no here, no over here!,..taunts the Cloud ninja
A sand Ninja on the side lines with the rest of the waiting opponents speaks up,..he's using double-step,..what a cheap move!
Sheila, replies,..What's double-step?
I'm not telling you,...evil Outworlder!
Sheila: is stunned!
A sound Ninja speaks to her,.don't mind some of these ninja,..the truth is,..in all likely-hood many of us won't make it to our 20th birthday,..so you can see why some would be a little uptight.
Sheila, says ,.Oh,.. I see.
The sound ninja, replies,.. By the way,...double-step is just flickering,...uh,..um almost like teleporting,...he looks as though he's everywhere at once, but all he's really doing is just moving fast and stuttering, or stopping and going to make it seem as if there are many of him.
Oh!,.. like the shadow clones my friend Nicky makes!
Shadow Clones?,...one of your friends makes shadow clones huh? That's a rare jutsu.
Oh,..I've said too much!
The sound ninja replies,.. It's alright,..ha!
The Cloud ninja begins to close in on Gerard with intent to kill.
Gerard replies,..Oh No! Earth Style: Rock Storm!
Rocks begin to fly up at the Cloud ninja which causes the cloud ninja to miss Gerard's throat by inches. Gerard retreats and the cloud ninja gives chase.
He's closing in,...I'm gonna die,..(thinking: I don't want to die here!) ALL I HAVE IS THIS CRAPPY JUTSU-"Earth Style: MUD WALL!"
Just as the cloud ninja was about to deal a finishing strike,..in his fear Gerard ascends up on top of a 5-story high mud wall
You fool!,..You think this will save you,..here I come
Gerard is atop the mud wall afraid for his life,..while the cloud ninja races to the top!
Taaaaaake,..this!,... OOOOF!
Gerard at the last moment kicks the cloud ninja in the face as he reached the top of the wall. He fell 5 stories down knocking all the wind out of him.
The Proctor speaks,... Our first winner, the Outworlder, Zannen!
I won,..it's over,..it's over!,...(how do I get down?)
The proctor bellows,...Next fighters step up!
The crowd roars, then suddenly stops,...because the next Zannen chosen is "very" young. (she is barely 10)
The Sand Ninja speaks,...I'm gonna take my time, and show them what i can do!,...Sorry little girl but you are going down!
Before the little Zannen girl can make it the center of the arena, another older Zannen whispers to the younger.
Falisha says,..Xaviera, listen to me do not give him a chance to do '"anything,"...do the handsigns you were taught in order to do the wind jutsu!
Xaviera, is crying,. I don't think I can do it!
Yes you can, and you will! As soon as they say, BEGIN, do the handsigns, aim at him and do it until he gives up or stops moving!
Xaviera replies,...You mean kill him?
Just do it baby-girl!
Oh,...o.k.!
The Proctor points,... Are you ready young one?,...you know, you're not the first "young" ninja to fight in the chunin exams,..in times past,some have been younger,..FIGHTERS READY! FIGHT!
The Sand ninja jumps a few paces back to prepare his jutsu, while Xaviera struggles to get the order of handsigns right.
The Sand Ninja disappointed says,.. This is a waste of my time, I'm just gonna end this,...Ninja Art: Sand Style-Flying Glass Shuriken!
The Arena fills with glass that are flying toward Xaviera
This isn't working,..oh no,..why can't I "BING" the Jutsu sounds
just before the glass can hit Xaviera she finally got her Gale force Wind jutsu to work and she aims it right at the Sand ninja
Holy Crap!,..those shards are coming back at me, I gotta dodge and get back on offense, but this wind,..I can't move,...it's too much!
The Sound Ninja and the shards fly to the wall of the arena as Xaviera blows tremendous hurricane force winds harder, and harder.
Falisha screams out,...Ok X,..Ok X,..."XAVIERA!" that's enough!
Xaviera stops,..but is breathing hard with a sad look on her cute face.
The Proctor proclaims,..Another Zannen Wins,...Next two fighters step up!
The debonair Sound Ninja, says to sheaila,...Looks like it's you and me next
Sheila replies,...Maybe it's just you!
Uh oh! big head have we? the Sound Ninja smiles,... I like you, but I won't take it easy on you!
The Sound Ninja takes off his back, what looks to be a huge horn!
Fighters ready!,...FIGHT!
I would ask you out on a date, but there may not be any of you left to take out!,...but seriously you guys "are" powerful no doubt about that,..but I also see you guy's technique is to just "troll" with tremendous power!,...Well I'm not gonna let that happen to me! Ninja Art: Supersonic Yell!
Before Sheila can do anything, she is brought to her knees by the supersonic sound of the sound ninja's horn
I have not told you my name yet outworlder,...allow me to introduce myself, I am Jun Inumo of the Sound village, and I'm here to make a name for myself. I will make certain that everyone knows the power of the Inumo Clan!
Jun of the Sound begins to focus his huge Sound horn, and Sheila tries to dodge, but keeps getting hit with sound blasts
You think dodging will save you,...you cannot dodge sound!
Sheila thinks, (He's right, I can't doge that,..."WAIT!") If I can't dodge it,..then maybe I shouldn't! Water Style: Water Prison jutsu!
Sheila encased herself in the water prison jutsu shielding her from the sound
That won't stop me! I'll just turn it all the way up,..Ninja Art: Sound Collapse jutsu!
The whole arena begins to shake and quake, some of the structure begins to fall
The Proctor runs out yelling,.. WHOA, WHOA, WHOA! "STOP!"-Disqualification,..the whole match,..both parties are disqualified!
What?,..why?,..I was about to end this!
Proctor replies,..You were about to destroy the entire arena!
Why am I disqualified?
The Proctor replies to Sheila,..Shut Up!,..you weren't exactly handling the situation, surely if this would have continued, you would have lost anyway! You Zannen are powerful, but you lack technique,..a bunch of misfits!,...NEXT FIGHTERS!
Ah yes the battle everyone's been waiting for,...the young prodigy,..."Hatake!"
At that moment Anbu Nobody Senpei pops up
