As Isamu took his time to freshen up after his fight, Benten escorted Ryu to his room. Yet another simplistic vibe was given from his room, seeing that once the young boy opened his door, all that lied in the room was his bed in the corner to the right on the wall, a nightstand on the left of his bed, a lamp sitting on the nightstand. A small window on the opposite side of the door beamed a ray of light through the glass, and a closet lied opposite to Ryu's bed. Ryu slid open the closet door to see nothing but a few hangers on the small hanger stand.

"Apologies for the minimalistic setting, I had no idea what you would like. Plus... I enjoy a rather simple feel." Benten murmured softly. "If you need anything, I will be with the Wanderluster."

Ryu nodded as his mother left the room, and he sat on his bed lightly, then spun around as he lied down, closing his eyes and listening in on his thoughts.

Ikigami, Shinigami, Doryu and Kazu clan... This all feels fictional, but I know it's all true, like something inside of me is getting my attention, pointing at all this, and telling me it's true. The Ikigami gives their power to an individual, but let's them live their own life and become their own person. But... I haven't gotten any of this power of light. If you're there, Ikigami, I need you to hurry.

Ryu popped his left eye open as Isamu knocked on the young boy's door, the man grinning as he nodded, "Let's get you a bit more suited up. If you're gonna fight our war, you'll need to wear a Kazu uniform. Don't worry, though, it'll be unique, just for you."

Isamu led Ryu out of his room and into a large room, clothing completely surrounding Ryu. Isamu nodded, "Pick something out. I'll be outside waiting for you, don't take too long."

Isamu closed the door to the room once he left, and Ryu looked around, marveling at the immense amount of clothing around him. As Ryu searched for his Kazu styled gi, he came down to his decision.

Ryu slipped on a shirt with the same dark blue color his old gi had, the shirt covering his upper body down to his pelvis with sleeves that stretched down to his elbows. The young boy wore normal dark pants that stretched down to his ankles, and cuffed black boots over his feet. Ryu wrapped bandages around his left arm, from his elbows to his hands, and finished his attire with his scarf from his mentor, wrapping it neatly over his neck, covering his mouth with it. Ryu clutched onto his scarf tightly, his eyes glaring onto the door in front of him.

Here goes.

Ryu stepped out of the clothing room as Isamu grinned at the young boy, and nodded as he led Ryu back towards the room in the basement of the house where they sparred in. Once the two stepped down into the white void of a room, Ryu sat on the ground softly as he sat his hands on his bent knees, staring up at Isamu as the man tutored him.

"This is called chakra." Isamu explained as he radiated a ball of blue, thick energy in his right hand. "It's our energy, and our life force. Use too much and you'll die, so be careful. Chakra can be used for numerous techniques, such as walking on walls and water, ninjutsu, genjutsu, the list goes on. It's a must for any shinobi."

So we're shinobi. Ryu eyes barely widened.

"Unlike Saiyans, who radiate their energy, ki, just by tapping into their power, us shinobi use hand seals to radiate our energy for our ninjutsu. But, seeing that you were able to use your chakra to erupt an explosion on me without a single hand seal, I suppose we don't need to bother giving you any details on that."

"I can't use my chakra for anything other than explosions. It disappears from sight as soon as I release it from my fingers."

"Chakra isn't ki. Ki doesn't require you to feed energy into it while it's released from your body, but chakra does, unless you cloak it with senjutsu chakra, which is a completely different topic. Anyways, chakra requires you to feed it chakra while you release it from your body, otherwise it'll disappear, but I advise you don't do that. It'll drain all of your chakra."

I suppose that's not too much of a problem, seeing that I have an unlimited amount of chakra once I enter my Doryu form. Ryu thought, then spoke up, "You seem to know a lot about ki, despite not having any."

"Yup, learned it all from your father. It's ironic, really. Your father was like my tutor, and here I am, tutoring his son." Isamu chuckled softly, his eyes softening. "Anyways, you just need to radiate your chakra in a way where you can use it while being in contact with it, like switching your chakra into an electrical chakra and coating that electrical chakra around your hand."

Ryu nodded as Isamu paused, letting the information he gave sink in.

"Now, jutsus, the very thing that makes shinobi unique. There's taijutsu, genjutsu, and ninjutsu. You fought me only using taijutsu and a bit of energy, so I don't have to teach it to you. Taijutsu is just hand-to-hand combat. Then there's genjutsu, illusionary techniques. The caster of genjutsu transmits their chakra into your chakra system, and from there it corrupts your senses, putting you in an illusion. Anything happening in the genjutsu is not real, but it can lead to mental and/or psychological damage, and it can put you in a comatose, depending on how bad it is. If you get stuck in a genjutsu, you can break out of it by disrupting your chakra flow, this includes decreasing or increasing it, inflicting harm upon yourself, or having other insert their chakra into your chakra flow."

Ryu nodded as Isamu paused once more, catching his breath.

"Finally, ninjutsu. The balls of flames and electricity sparking around my hand when I attacked you is the definition of ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is basically any attacks using chakra that doesn't classify as genjutsu or taijutsu. There's a wide variety of ninjutsus, and I suggest you learn a good bit if you want to excel as a shinobi. With all the introductions out of the way, let's get to practice."

Ryu stood up as Isamu stepped over to the wall. Isamu clenched his fists as he radiated his chakra on the soles of his feet, then stepped onto the wall in front of him, taking a few steps before explaining, "I'm using my chakra to connect onto this wall. Now, you try. Connect your energy with the wall's, feel yourself attach to it."

Ryu closed his eyes softly after Isamu's explanation, and his feet immediately flared with gray chakra as he radiated his energy onto his feet, his eyes swirling into a scarlet red color and his pupils slitting. Ryu sat his right foot onto the wall in front of him, and he felt as if the wall wrapped straps around his foot before he sat his left foot on the wall. Ryu began to fall backwards as he lost his balance momentarily, but his left foot was strapped onto the wall securely, saving his fall. Ryu took a step forward, then another, then he took a large leap, landing higher on the wall. Ryu's hands blared gray with energy as he sat his fingertips on the wall, backflipping to his feet as they erupted with gray energy once more. Ryu snapped a thumbs-up towards Isamu, and the man gave a nervous grinned at Ryu's quick mastery of his test.

"Gray-? I can tell that you've mastered energy control just by watching you. Amazing..." Isamu grinned as he leapt off the wall, landing on the floor, Ryu landing in front of his tutor. Isamu dug his hand into his pocket, and pulled out two small slips of paper, handing Ryu one as he began to explain some more.

"These are chakra papers. First, you'll need to learn about chakra natures. There's five chakra natures: fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning. I radiated my chakra into a fiery chakra, and exhaled fire to release the fireball jutsu. Basically, you can add an extra oomph to your attacks if you add a chakra nature to your chakra. Radiate your chakra onto this piece of paper, and your affinity chakra nature will be shown by how the paper reacts to your chakra."

Ryu nodded slowly, and his eyes widened briefly as he held onto his piece of paper tightly, sinking his chakra into the piece of paper. The slip of paper cleanly sliced in half, and Isamu grinned, "Ah, I should've expected as much. You've got the rarest chakra nature, wind. I don't know how to use wind release, so I won't be much help with it. If you ever want to practice it on your own, be my guest."

Ryu nodded as he stared at his piece of paper, then released it without a second thought as Isamu began to talk once more.

"Now, let's get you in on some basic ninjutsus, starting with the Kawarimi no Jutsu." Isamu handed Ryu the same blade both he and Doki used against him. "Throw that kunai at me. Aim for the kill."

Ryu spun the blade around momentarily, then lunged it onto his tutor. The young boy's eyes widened slightly as it struck his tutor, then his eyes widened even more when Isamu was clouded with smoke, then appeared as if he were a log. Ryu's eyes narrowed in recognition.

Ryu span around swiftly as his fingernails snapped into razor-sharp claws, and he blurred past Isamu, a shockwave of wind blasting away from Isamu as four deep slashes cut on his sides. Smoke clouded around Isamu, and in his place with a log with four deep cuts on it's sides. Ryu blinked in confusion.

Ryu whirled around as he felt someone poke the back of his head, his eyes widening slightly as Isamu grinned and flipped two peace signs up, explaining, "Body Replacement Technique. A moment before an attack hits you, you use something to replace yourself with, most popular choice is a log, and you counterattack, flee, or whatever you choose to do. All you really need is speed, and I know you have that from our sparring match. I suppose you don't need to use something to replace yourself with, but it'd be useful for deception and more time."

Ryu nodded as Isamu let the information sink in. Isamu then paused as his eyes lied on the ground in thought.

"I know you've already mastered chakra control, so I'm going to give you a difficult ninjutsu. The Kage Bunshin no Jutsu."

Isamu sat his left hand's index and middle fingers horizontally behind his right hand's vertically raised index and middle finger, and smoke clouded the space next to him, an exact of him standing next to him. Isamu continued, "You can make numerous clones. If you make one, you halve your chakra to form a clone. If you make two clones, you third your chakra, and so on. I want you to halve your chakra, and release it outside of your body, feeding it chakra until it forms into the shape of an exact clone of you."

Ryu nodded, and he clamped his hands together softly as he closed his eyes. Ryu opened his eyes as he stood face-to-face to a rectangle of gray chakra, and he sliced his hand straight through the rectangle vertically, and he separated the two squares, watching as the square on the left traveled farther to the left, far out of sight.

Ryu's eyes popped open from the sound of smoke clouding next to him, and his eyes widened as he stared at an exact clone of himself, and his clone's eyes widened just like the original Ryu's. Isamu grinned, "You're a natural. I don't know anyone who picked up on a technique this advanced, this fast. Your clone can withstand weak attacks, but attacks strong enough to bring you immense pain will cause the clone to poof away. They're useful for a lot of things, so keep the technique in mind."

Ryu nodded, his clone disappearing as it popped away into a cloud of smoke. Isamu scratched his hair as he sweated nervously, grinning, "You'll learn more ninjutsus in time. I taught you the basics needed to become a shinobi... But I didn't expect us to be finished with everything in less than a day. That's just... Incredible. Are you even human...?"

Ryu stared up at Isamu as the man caught his mistake, chuckling, "Oh, right, son of Bishamon, you've got Saiyan DNA. Sorry."

"Does that mean we're done with training...?" Ryu asked, and as Isamu nodded, his eyes narrowed in disappointment. Shinobi don't seem to be much.

"I'm gonna go talk to Benten about your progress. Feel free to practice and train on your own!" Isamu exclaimed as he walked back up the stairway leading down to the basement Ryu stood in, and Isamu added, "Who knows, maybe you'll create a jutsu or two while I'm gone!"

Ryu's eyes slid to the floor as a wave of silence washed over the training room he lied in, and the young boy created a shadow clone without moving in the slightest. Ryu and his clone's eyes swirled back into their piercing, icy color, and the two young boys snapped into their fighting stance.

Maybe I'll learn more shinobi techniques once I travel to this dimension for shinobis. For now, I'll use the ultimate solution. Sparring. And with the strongest person I know.
