The weekend came rather quickly and it meant that Ziva and I could spend the weekend together, we were on call but it meant we only had to go in if there was an emergency, something I was praying wouldn't happen. It was still rather early as I made my way over to Ziva's apartment about ten minutes drive from my apartment. I had a new bunch of flowers this time Tulips, a mixture because I thought they looked beautiful and I hoped Ziva thought the same. Knocking on the door I waited patiently for her to answer it, listening I heard someone mae there way through the house toward me, Ziva opened the door and with a smile she let me in. Moving into the lounge I pulled her close and kissed her, before pulling back and giving her the bunch of tulips, she smiled kissing my cheek
"They are beautiful Tony and very unique" she said moving into her kitchen so that she could change the flowers in the vase. I watched as she did so, before she came back and I held ou my arms for a hug, she made her way over and into my embrace. Pushing back a stray hair I looked her in the eyes as she smiled at me, I smiled back
"I could get used to this" I said leaning down and kissing her, she moaned and I smiled
"I'm guessing you could too" I whispered as she rested her head on my chest.
"I could" she agreed and I held her close.
"What do you have planned for the weekend?" I asked her a couple of minutes later, when the silence was beginning to make me nervous.
"Nothing really, I mean we're on call and I wasn't really expecting to do much" she said and I smiled
"Neither was I, but since its our first weekend as a couple I think we do something special. What about a trip to the Jeffersonian?" I asked and she smiled
"Did you know after almost nine years of living in DC I have never once been" she told me and I smiled
"Well then let me take you on a guided tour of the building" I suggested and she smiled
"Ok" she said and I kissed her again just as my stomach rumbled
"But first lets get some breakfast" I said and she smiled
"Lets go then" she said and I smiled as she grabbed my hand as we walked down to my car.
It wasn't long until we had found a cafe that was close to the Jeffersonian were we could have some breakfast. I ordered a coffee and Ziva ordered her tea, and we both ordered pancakes and made sure they were drizzled in maple syrup. Watching Ziva as she ate made me smile, she was totally embracing the fact that she was now an american citizen and had even picked up some of our bad habits or maybe she had only picked up mine. However when she caught me watching her I looked away and felt the blush rise on my cheeks, since we had started dating there were times when I felt like I was a teenager again when everything was awkward and nervewracking and other times where there was nothing I wanted more than to make love to Ziva.
"What?" she asked picking up her napkin and wiping her face causing me to smile at her
"Nothing" I said and she raised an eyebrow at me
"Ok fine I was just admiring the fact that you have taken on American life pretty subtly, it suits you" I explained and she giggled, like actually giggled and it made my heart sore, it was the cutest sound I had ever heard, and I wanted to hear that sound coming from her lips more often.
"Thanks I guess" she said and I smiled
"I meant it as a good thing, I mean it looks good on you" I said trying to explain myself more and she smiled, reaching out and holding my hand
"Its alright Tony, I understand" she said and smiled for reassurance.
After a rather entertaining breakfast we made our way to the Jeffersonian, Ziva admiring the exhibits and me admiring her as she looked at our history in wonder, it was truly amazing how beautiful she looked and every time she found something that interested or excited her she would turn toward me and point at it, with the most adorable look on her face that I had ever seen. We were in one of the exhibits that was fairly quite and there didn't seem to be too many people in the room with us when I wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my head on her shoulder, she turned her head and kissed my cheek
"I'm really enjoying this Tony. It is a lot of fun experiencing this with you" she said and I smiled kissing her cheek as well
"Well I'm glad, I haven't been here in a while and its really interesting seeing the improvements and updates to the exhibits" I told her and she nodded
"I bet it is" she said as we continued making our way toward the next part of the exhibit where she saw the Victorian dress and the way of living, I smiled as she gushed over the little clothes that the kids used to wear back then. Surprising me when she said
"I could totally imagine our kids in a little suit like that one" I stood rooted to the spot, not breathing as my mind raced to catch up with what she could possibly mean, she seemed to notice cause she turned in my arms and tried to snap me out of it, which was apparently hard to do. She kissed my lips and that is what brought me back to reality.
"You've thought about us having kids?" I asked when I was finally able to think straight, the kiss she gave me not really helping matters much. She blushed a deep crimson and I smiled, running my fingers across her cheek reassuring her that it wasn't a bad thing
"I uh, yes" she admitted a little hesitantly
"I have too" I whispered and she smiled widely
"Really?" she asked and I nodded
"I know its only been a week since we started dating, but I've had many a good dream where you and I end up having children" I admitted sheepishly
"Thats so cute, I kinda have too" she admitted and I smiled kissing her deeply holding her close in my arms.
"Whenever your ready Zi, and I'll give you the world" I promised and she smiled
"I know Tony" she said squeezing my hand and nodding in understanding.
