Here's another chapter! Like you guessed, I'm winging it. Since I'm working on different stories at the moment, Imma do the ones that people want. Also time skip 4 years, Gohan's 15, Trunks is 5 and Goten's 4. Another also, there is some action in the chapter. Last thing, some swearing. Don't believe me? Read to find out. See ya at the bottom!
Gohan blocked an energy blast from Goten with his forearm before ducking from a kick from Trunks only to retaliate by grabbing his leg and chucking him at Goten, causing the younger boy to yelp and hold out his arms to try to catch his best friend but to no avail.
Trunks groaned silently before shaking his head and leaping up, quickly slipping into a battle stance. Goten winced before mimicking Trunks, though slower. Gohan smiled before standing straight and crossing his arms. "Let's take five" Goten quickly plopped down, a big smile on his face.
"Thanks Gohan! Man, I really thought I had you there with that energy blast!" Goten said, still smiling as he leant back on his hands, his feet moving side to side.
Trunks snorted. "Yeah right. With a energy blast like that? I bet Gohan wouldn't have even felt it!"
Goten looked at Gohan amazed. "Wow! Your really strong big brother!" Goten quickly stood up, before jumping up and down, his hands in fists on front of him. "Can you teach us how to be strong as well?"
Trunks rolled his eyes. Goten could be really slow sometimes. Why else would they be training if not to get stronger? He put his hands on his hips as he addressed Goten with a smirk. "Well we won't get any stronger if we rest every 10 minutes" Trunks exaggerated. They had their last break 47 minutes ago. Trunks then got into a fighting stance, facing Gohan once more. "So how bout we skip the warm up and go full on?"
Gohan smirked slightly. While Trunks was nowhere near his power level, he definitely strategized like Vegeta, which rarely gave him an advantage. As well as hardly resting, Trunks was an ideal sparring partner, as long as he doesn't tire himself out, or pass out.
Goten mimicked him once more, an excited grin on his face. Like Trunks, he was just as eager to gain power and become stronger. The stronger they were, the easier it was to protect their friends and family. Trunks thought the same thing as he remembers what had happened a couple months ago.
FLASHBACK
Trunks had his hands in his hoodie pockets as he walked alongside his mother and father. Bulma walked with as smile on her face as she conversed with a client on her phone while Vegeta had a scowl and kept his eyebrows narrowed. Trunks always wondered how his mother got Vegeta out of the Gravity Chamber. What he didn't know was that Bulma either had to blackmail him or Vegeta came out on his own accord, with the promise of food of course.
Trunks looked around the city for something interesting as they walked towards a food court stationed near the middle of the city. He had heard about robberies, thieves and all that on the news and had hoped to see something like that in person. Other then sparring with his father, he hadn't really been in a fight, and won one at that.
5 minutes passed before Vegeta growled and stopped walking, causing Bulma and Trunks to stop a few steps forward. Bulma blinked at him confused, excusing herself from the phone before pressing it to her shoulder.
"Vegeta? What's wrong honey?" Bulma asked concerned. They weren't far from the new food court that was recently built and unless Vegeta was getting angry at people bumping into him, Bulma couldn't think of anything else that could have annoyed him.
Vegeta's eyebrow twitched slightly as he heard the word Honey. "I am NOT your honey woman! No matter how many times you say it!" Vegeta said angrily, getting even more annoyed when Bulma roll her eyes. He growled to get her attention. "As for what's wrong, it has taken longer than usual to get to the 'food court'! Which leads me to suspect that we are not going there but rather to get you many more outfits that you do not need!" He levitated in the air, uncrossing his arms and ignoring the shocked stares from people around them. "I am going back to Capsule Corp to get some food before I enter the Gravity Chamber. Have fun with your 'client'!" He snarled as he blasted off towards what Bulma assumed was Capsule Corp.
Bulma huffed angrily. So he was jealous?! That was no reason to over react and fly off, blowing people away, which would have included her if it hadn't been for Trunks. She slammed her heels as she spun and around and ender her call, stuffing the phone in her pocket and grabbing Trunks hand as she stormed off.
Trunks would have also flew off if his mother hadn't nearly been airborne (thanks to Vegeta), and he would have flew of after his father if his mother didn't grab his hand and forced him to speed walk in order to catch up to her. He stared to levitate to save his legs from getting tired but one glare from Bulma changed his mind as quickly descended and sped walked once more.
"Uh, mom?"
"I cannot believe that man!" Bulma roared, scaring nearby bystanders and even some from cars passing by. Trunks chose to close his mouth for the time being. "I try to do something nice and this is the thanks I get! I swear, when we get back he'll wish he carried me there!" Either she ignored the scared and frightened looks around her or she didn't notice. Trunks winced as he heard her shrill voice. Of course his father did something wrong and now he was paying for it. How fair.
About 20 feet in front of them, a man with a black duffel bag dressed in a blue t-shirt and black cargo pants and trainers smashed open a pair of glass doors, frantically looking around. He didn't wear anything on his head making it easy to see his back spiky hair and eyes as well as a light complexion. After a few moments, people outside started screaming as they saw that it was a robbery. They all scattered as they tried desperately to get away.
Trunks eyes widened as he saw the man, before a grin slowly crept up on his face. 'Finally! Some action around here!" Trunks thought as the man stuck his head inside the store.
"Hurry up! How long does it take to grab the bags!" The man roared, pulling his head outside to scan the area, before his eyes landed on Bulma. Trunks saw him grin before shrugging the bag of. Trunks continued grinning as the man started walking towards himself and Bulma. Not surprising him, Bulma stood her ground as the man came closer.
"Hey buddy! Who do you think you are?!" Bulma shouted in her normal fiery voice, challenging the man who still walked closer. "You better give up or else!" She felt Trunks slip out of her grip and saw him leap in front of her, crossing him arms in front of himself. "Trunks what do you think you're doing! Get back here!" Bulma said as she started to make her way to him.
Trunks turned his head slightly to face her. "Relax mom, I got this! It's only gunna take a-" He was cut off when a fist slammed into his gut, causing his eyes to widen. He unwillingly spat out blood as he felt his stomach burn painfully before snapping his head forward and doubling over. Or, at least trying to. He felt another fist slam into his left cheek, hearing a loud crack as he flew across the road and slammed into a building. The punch had cased his body to rotate slightly so that his back bared the full force of slamming into the building. He was about two inches buried in the building, his hoodie torn from where the punch landed, a bruise on his stomach and cheek. His ribs cracked as well as his sternum and blood ran down his chin, and this all happened in less than 10 seconds. 'So not fair' Trunks thought weakly as he tried his best not to pass out from the pain.
Bulma stood in shock as the 'bank robber' punched her son square in the stomach, her heart screaming at her to run to her son and try to save him while her mind told her to stay put, her body following that command. Tears pricked at her eyes as she saw blood running from his chin, her body trembling as she saw her only son in pain. A second later, she couldn't help but scream as she heard a crack followed by Trunks body flying across the road and into the building.
She screamed as tears fell freely down her cheek. It didn't matter that he was half Saiyan. He was only a kid and for some reason, she knew that he couldn't have handled that. She ran as fast as her heels could take her to Trunks, only managing to take a few steps before she felt a hard squeeze on her wrist. She turned her head to see the 'robber' grinning at her, evil obviously emitting from his eyes.
Bulma widened her eyes before narrowing them and raising her fist. She brought it as hard as she could on forearm, hoping he would be in pain and release. However he wasn't and he just kept grinning. In fact, he didn't even react. No wince, flinch nothing. However, Bulma didn't take notice and continued on what she thought was a relentless assault, all the while trying to tug free. After about half a minute, which felt like hours to Bulma, the man frowned as he grew tired. He jerked her to gain her attention, still not releasing his vice like grip on her. She winced and choked back a sob. That was definitely going to leave a bruise. She tried to stop her tears and whimpers, trying not to look or act weak in front of this stranger.
"L-let her go..." both turned their attention to the boy who was struggling to get out of the building, one looking annoyed and the other hopeful. Trunks closed his eyes and painfully nudged his arms away from the indent he made into the building. After a few tries, he succeeded, but couldn't catch himself as he fell forward, smacking painfully on the pavement. Despite the pain, he lifted his head up to face them both, a pained but angry look on his face as he tried to glare at the man with his one eye, the other closed to help numb his throbbing cheek. "W-why don't you stop being a-a coward and fight me?" Each word that came from his mouth was pained and forced as he tried to appear strong, which he knew he was failing at when he saw the man sneer and hold out his hand towards him. His eyes wide-eyed as he saw a familiar glow emitting from his palm before it grew into an energy ball. If Trunks was right, that energy ball could wipe him out 5 times over.
Bulma gasped as she saw the blast before she started to punch and kick at the man, kicking him in the nether regions causing him to growl and chuck her to the floor in front of him. She heard heavy footsteps before she felt his foot on her back causing her to scream out as he added pressure. Trunks felt his anger rise as he saw this, desperately trying to gain the power he needed to at least lift himself. He put what little energy he had into an energy ball before releasing it. It flew to the hit the man, but did nothing to him as he kept his attention on Bulma. Trunks eyes widened. He didn't have enough energy or strength to protect his mom,
"YOU BASTARD! YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" Bulma screamed, not caring that this man could end her by simply putting some pressure on her, which he did. She screamed as she felt the pain intensify in her back, but that didn't come nowhere near as the pain in her heart. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS! I'L-" Another scream erupted from her throat as he added some more pressure. Trunks growled as he started to lift himself, using one arm to prop himself and the other one to shoot weak blasts, trying to gain the man's attention from his mother. He charged the one last one and shot it, before he felt his fear grow as the man turned his attention back to him and fired his blast, easily taking over his and heading towards him.
Bulma snapped her attention back to Trunks, ignoring the pain in her back temporary as she saw the blast explode and smoke. She felt wind push past her face and chucks of the building, pavement, anything that was in front of the blast hit her unprotected body. She screamed at Trunks to get his attention, her heart heavy at the thought of her baby dying, blood surrounding him and beaten near death, and she couldn't do anything about.
She bit her lip to try to surpass another scream as she felt her life slip away, before she felt the pressure abruptly stop and a crash, though the pain still remained. She felt something touch her side softly before it stroked her.
"Bulma, put your arm over me" A gruff but soft voice rang out. Tears sprang to her eyes as she recognized the voice. She felt him lift one of her arms slightly so she complied, wincing as she wrapped it around his neck before turning her head, noticing his Saiyan clothes ripped, but nothing serious (you know, that blue thing he wears under his armour? Not sure what to call it, like a leotard?)
Bulma held back a sob as she stared into Vegeta's eyes, noticing that instead of his glare or scowl that he normally kept, they were soft and caring, concerned. She put her head in his neck, enjoying the warmth that he gave of and smiled slightly as she felt him nuzzle hers.
"Eew. Guys get a room" Bulma's head snapped up in the direction of the weak voice. Trunks grinned weakly as he cracked his neck side to side before stretching his arms out, Gohan standing there with a smile. Bulma's eyes widened at him before giving a teary smile, holding out one of her arms weakly. Trunks stopped stretching before, his eyes slightly wide, before walking over to him mother slowly and embracing her awkwardly. Normally he had no problem hugging her, even in public, but for some reason he felt shy doing it in front of his father. He felt a hand on his head ruffling his hair. He turned his attention to Vegeta who held the tiniest of smiles on his face.
"I'm proud of you Trunks. You protected your mother with your life and didn't back down once" Trunks felt himself blush as he looked away, leaning his head towards his did slightly.
His eyes widened as he looked towards the store, quickly leaping out his parents embrace. "Wait! He was talking to someone before! In that store!" Trunks growled, channelling his power higher and higher.
"Already got them" A gruff voice rang out, before Piccolo floated out of the shop, holding two people by the back of their tops before dropping them to the ground, crossing his arms over his broad chest.
Trunks looked shock for a second before he grinned and relaxed. "Really? Were they strong?" Despite being near death less than a minute ago, he couldn't help but ask.
"Not really" Piccolo responded, walking over to the group. "Not as strong as the people we faced getting here" He said as he motioned to Vegeta. Trunks looked back to see his mother popping a Senzu in her mouth. He turned his attention to the left when he heard a low groan, instantly recognizing it being from the guy that defeated himself and his mother.
His anger raised once more as he breathed through his nose. A hand on his shoulder stopped him and he looked up to see Gohan standing there with a small smile. "Sorry Trunks, but I think you should let your dad take this" He looked towards his dad to see him let go of Bulma and walk towards the men with his usual glare.
END OF FLASHBACK
Trunks shook his head as he noticed a figure flying towards them in the distance.
Sooo yeah. End of another chappie. My sister did give me an idea that I was gunna do but I decided to do it for the next chapter. Anyway, please review and until next time!
