"How do you know Inuyasha?" asks Kagome one night, as they all sit around the fire.
"How do you know me?" demands the half-demon, all fangs and blood and vicious snarls.
Mitsuru glances up at the human girl, the barest of smiles on her face.

Inuyasha goes stiff, glances at the ice maiden beside him. He doesn't speak though, just waits.
