SAM'S POV
Hufflepuff? What was that? I wanted to be with my brother. Luna told me she's in Ravenclaw and Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and now Dean were in Gryffindor.
I was alone. A table in the middle next to Gryffindor shouted and I knew to go to them, they were Hufflepuff.
I tried searching for my brother to see if I could even sit an isle away from him. But I couldn't with all the bobbing heads.
"Hey! You can sit by me." A boy said standing up and letting me step over the bench. "I'm Cedric Diggory."
"Oh, I'm Sam Winchester." I said meekly. There were at least six other students at my table that I never found out their name.
Others introduced themselves and told me they would help me find all my classes. I tried finding the people I sat with on the train ride, but I couldn't find any fimilar faces.
The headmaster stood up and gave a short speech then waved his hand and wand to make food appear on the tables. There was turkey, ham, beans of all sorts, pudding, and much more at the farther ends of the Hufflepuff table.
I looked over my shoulder and finally found Dean who was laughing and eating with the people we saw at the train station. I saw Ginny sitting close to them and blushed. She was so pretty...
DEAN'S POV
I never want to leave here, not even if Dad needs us back in the states for a hunt. Not ever.
"So what's it like in America?" Ron asked me, face stuffed with almost three different types of food.
"Well... It's cool there, I swear though, I'm gonna miss the music, Metalica, Guns 'n Roses, Aerosmith. I have a walkman and tapes if you ever wanna listen." I smiled, I loved talking about my favorites.
"What did your family do?" Hermione asked, looking fairly curious. "Both my parents are dentists..."
I hesitated. "Well, it's complicated."
We are at a school where they teach magic for God's sake! It's fine.
"Uh, my family, hunts." I took a deep breath, bracing for them to say I'm crazy. "We hunt monsters."
"Really?!" Harry asked eyes wide.
"Yeah, uh, there a lot of things that happen in America. We hunt monsters and it's hard to think of it, but there are demons too. We never mess with those guys." I said freely, since they acted like they were mildly interested. "We hunt Wendigos, Shapeshifters, Vampires, werewolves."
Their looks of curiousity turned sour once I said werewolves.
"What do you mean hunt?" Ron's eyes were big with worry. "Like kill?"
"Yeah, but only the one's that kill humans." I felt as if I had to reassure them.
"Why? Why would you even think about that?" Hermione said, disgust written across her face.
"Because they are evil, they hurt people. And it's not just me. My mom, who went to this school, used her powers to defeat demons. They are killers. It's like taking the life of a... Bad wizard." I rambled, not even knowing if they would be able to get what I was saying.
"Do you mean, Voldemort?" Harry asked and Hermione looked at him like he just said something horrible.
"Who's Voldemort?"
"Voldemort, is like your monsters. He kills people. He kills wizards, he killed Harry's parents and gave him a scar when he tried to kill him."
"And you're still alive?" I dumbfoundedly asked before realizing what I had just said. "Well of course you are."
"I'm not called 'The Boy Who Lived' for nothing." Harry stated before turning his face to his plate and taking small bites. I did the same.
SAM POV
A girl with blonde hair decided to join our table later on in the feast when others left to say hello to friends further in the great hall.
"Hello, I'm Hannah." She greeted quickly, "Are you a first year?"
"Yes." I answered. "What year are you?"
"I'm only a fourth year. Who are you looking for?" She asked.
"No one."
"You were looking around the room like you were searching for someone." She stated.
"Do you know Ginny Weasley?" I asked giving in. "I want to know what year she's in."
"She's in third year." She answered sweetly.
"Oh..." I was disappointed. We wouldn't have any classes together at all. Although the deal with Dean was that he would be in first year classes, but still technically a fourth year.
"It's okay to have a crush." She admitted.
I smiled in agreement and turned back to my food. I ate in silence then they dismissed us.
I looked back at Dean when we left and caught his eye, he gave me a reassuring smile and I turned back around to find Hannah.
