As I was walking up to the school grounds, Koga came up behind me.

"Hey beautiful. How you doing?"

I smiled slightly, sighing and trying to be polite. "Hey. I'm good. How about you?"

"I was good until blood boy came." I looked over to see Inuyasha walking towards the two of us.

"Wolf, stop flirting with her or I might just have to beat your ass again."

I sighed, backing up a little and letting them argue.

"Why should I? She's the one I'm spending the rest of my life with. You, on the other hand, have no right to be near her."

I looked at him, my eye twitching a little and said, "Koga, stop deciding for me who I'm gonna stay with the rest of my life."

"Come on Kagome. You know it's true. I won you over with my charm."

I sighed in frustration. "I have to have a say in this too, you know. I never once said I liked you."

I moved closer to Inuyasha and sighed. "Let's just get to class before we're late."

"Keh, fine. Let's go."

In class...

I sat down and looked up at Hikara-Sensei.

"Ok class, as you all know, in the last class, we took a test on our last book. Please make sure you go look at the board just outside the classroom before you go to your dorms. Your results are posted out there."

Ugh, I probably failed the test. I wasn't able to study at all due to what was happening with Koga. I looked back to see what Inuyasha was doing, only to find him sleeping. I smiled. He looks so peaceful when he sleeps. He must be tired due to all that's been happening because he's been saving me. Then I slowly looked over to Koga. He was just staring off into space, not paying attention to anything that was happening. I turned back, looking ahead to find a scary looking Hikara-Sensei.

"Kagome, are two slackers more interesting than my teaching?" I blushed when I saw everyone's eyes on me.

"Uh, no Hikara-Sensei."

"Good. Next time I catch you looking back at them, there will be a consequence. Understand?"

"Yes Hikara-Sensei. I understand."

She smiled then said, "I'm glad someone in this school has respect for teachers."

Then she walked back to the front of the class and continued teaching.

After school...

"Ugh, I don't want to know what I got on the test."

Inuyasha, Koga, and I walked up to the board that posted our scores. My eyes widened.

"Holy crap! I did better than I expected."

I looked at my score. A ninety! Oh boy! I grinned, humming to myself.

Inuyasha shook his head with a half smile.

"Keh, you shouldn't doubt yourself."

I was just about to leave, when I saw two boys cornering a younger one with orange hair and emerald green eyes. He was the cutest thing! How could they be so mean?!

I stalked over and yelled, "Leave him alone you two! Learn to pick on someone your own size!"

They turned around and smirked. "Hey Monten lookey here. It's a girl."

"Yes brother, and a good looking one at that."

I started to back away. Oh great. Just as they were about to corner me, I heard, "Smashing Top!" and this huge top came and squashed the older boy.

"Hiten! Are you ok?"

"Damn kid! We'll take care of you later!"

They ran off somewhere and I sighed in relief. Just then, Inuyasha and Koga came over, making sure I was ok.

"You okay Kagome?"

"I'm fine."

I looked over to the little boy. "Are you ok? That must have been scary for a little guy like you." It must have taken him a lot of guts to stand up for them.

I walked over to him, trying to give him a comforting smile. "I'm Kagome, what's your name?"

He jumped into my arms, grinning. I was caught a bit by surprise, but hugged him close to me.

"I'm Shippo! Thanks for coming and saving me!"

I giggled. He just looks so cute!

Inuyasha walked over with a frown on his face. "Get out of her arms kid."

Koga pitched in, "Yeah, she's mine, so get out of her arms!"

I saw Shippo start to tear up and he gripped my shirt into his fists.

"Kagome, those boys are being mean to me!"

I glared at them. How could they make Shippo cry?! He was just introducing himself.

"You jerks! Look, he's crying now because of you!" I hit them both upside the heads.

I stalked off with Shippo in my arms. Those two are so mean. A few days of the silent treatment won't hurt them. As I walked off, I heard both of them yell, "Kagome!"

The next day...

Shippo and I bumped into each other on our way to school.

"Kagome, why do you hang out with those mean guys?"

I laughed a little bit, smiling.

"Well I guess it's cause they're the first two people I met here. So I guess they mean a lot to me. Even though we have our differences, we still fit and get along."

He smiled and jumped onto my shoulder.

I heard a voice say, "Hey beautiful, I missed you yesterday."

Oh it's Koga. I whispered to Shippo, "Just play along with me."

"Shippo, did you hear something? I think I'm going crazy."

"No, Kagome, I didn't hear anything. It was probably just the wind."

I just started walking towards the school building, inwardly giggling. A few minutes later, I heard Inuyasha say, "Hey wench."

"Hmm, Shippo, I seem to be hearing things again."

I kept walking. Inuyasha followed me like a hawk and said, "Why are you ignoring me? I didn't do anything!"

Shippo leapt down from my shoulder and said, "Didn't do anything wrong? You were so mean to me!"

"Shut it runt, you were hanging all over her yesterday like a leech." Then Inuyasha hit him on top of the head.

"Oww, that hurt!" Then he yelled, "Fox fire!" A blue fire shot out and hit Inuyasha.

"You brat!" Inuyasha hit Shippo on the head again.

"Why do you have to be so mean?!" Then Shippo quickly ran off.

"Inuyasha! Why'd you do that?! He's just a kid!"

"Keh, he's a spoiled brat."

"Come on, that's still no excuse to hit him!"

I ran after Shippo, leaving Inuyasha standing there. He growled a little.

"Kagome! Come back here wench!"

I called out his name. "Shippo, where are you? Come on out. I took care of Inuyasha."

Just then, I heard the same two boys from this morning picking on Shippo again. I followed the sound of their voices and saw them dragging Shippo into the forest. I sprinted after them yelling, "Hey! What are you doing?! Let him go!"

They turned around, looking at me.

"Hey Monten look, it's that chick from before. Maybe after we eat the kid, we can have a little fun."

"Yes Hiten, I agree."

I gulped and backed away, trying to figure out a plan. They were starting to advance on me, forgetting all about Shippo and looking at me like I was some kind of food item. I quickly mouthed to Shippo 'Go get Inuyasha!'. He nodded quickly, running off.

Monten quickly turned from me to try and get Shippo.

"Hey, get back here you fox!" Fox? Is Shippo some sort of fox demon? That would explain the tricks he plays.

I quickly yelled, "Leave him alone! He's just a little kid!"

Hiten smirked and said, "Heh, I like women with guts. Monten, leave the fox alone for now."

"But Hiten-."

"We'll go after him later. Don't you wanna play with our little girlfriend here?"

I sighed in relief. At least Shippo is safe, but I, on the other hand, was far from it. I tried backing away, but I only bumped into Monten. When had he gotten behind me?

He picked me up and slung me on his shoulder. "You're not goin anywhere."

"Let me go!" I punched his back, but it had no effect what so ever. These are the times I wish Inuyasha was here with me.

Inuyasha's P.O.V (Hell yes! :D)

Damn wench! Taking that brat's side. Though it is sort of like her to have a soft heart. Keh, at least i don't have to worry bout that, after all I am a demon.

I kicked a rock, continuing on my way into the school building. If she wants to be like that, fine, be like that. Suddenly I heard Shippo running towards me, shouting my name. As soon as he caught up he told me in a panic, "Inuyasha, Kagome's in trouble! Please help her."

That wench is a trouble magnet. I swear. How many times have I had to swoop in and save her now?

"And you just ran off? Heh, shows how useful you are."

He growled and then yelled, "Just hurry! Hiten and Monten said they wanted to have 'fun' with her. If she gets raped, I'm blaming you!"

Wait, weren't those the guys from yesterday? They're so pathetic. Well I better get over there before they do anything. I picked up Shippo and ran like hell.

"Where are they?"

"In the forest, over there." He pointed to the beginning of the forest. I bolted off, hoping I wasn't too late. Hold on Kagome, I'm coming.

Kagome's P.O.V

They placed me on the ground, tying my feet and hands together. Hiten and Monten were already in their true forms. Hiten looked the same, except for the pointed ears. While Monten, on the other hand, looked totally different. He was mostly bald and only had three hairs on his head. His skin was yellow and he was big and bulking. I inwardly gagged. Greeeeat.

I gulped. This isn't good. Hiten came over, licking his lips.

"You're gonna like this. And don't worry we won't be too hard on you." He started unbuttoning my shirt, making sure to stare me in the eyes.

Before he could undo anymore buttons, he was knocked off of me. Inuyasha stood there eying them.

"You bastard!" Then he looked over to me. "You okay?"

"Y-yes. Just a little shaken up."

While Hiten was fazed and Shippo was distracting Monten, Inuyasha untied me and helped me up.

I looked around. noticing Koga wasn't here. "Hey, where's Koga?"

"Keh, he's on his way wench. Now take off the jewel. I wanna kick these bastards' asses."

I reached up thankfully and pulled the jewel from the chain.

"Hiten, he's a vampire!"

Hiten got up and smirked. "All the more reason to defeat him. Don't you see Monten? If we beat him, It'll boost our reputation."

"As if the likes of you could defeat me." Inuyasha smirked cockily.

Monten threw Shippo aside. "We'll see about that."

I quickly ran over and picked Shippo up, examining him for any injuries.

"Kagome! You're ok!"

I hugged him close. "Yup, all thanks to you. I don't know what I would have done if you didn't get Inuyasha."

Just then I saw a werewolf join the fighting with Inuyasha. Looks like Koga finally arrived.

He yelled, "How dare you try to defile my woman. You disgusting pigs!"

He bit Hiten's arm, starting to tear him apart.

"Brother! You'll pay for that wolf."

Monten went and used a thunder attack. Inuyasha decided to kick Hiten down. Then Koga snuck up behind Monten, using his claws to dig into him. Then Inuyasha kicked the two of them and that's wear the fight ended. They both seemed pleased with themselves.

Inuyasha and Koga slowly walked over to Shippo and I to make sure we were alright.

Inuyasha took the jewel and clicked it into place and asked, "Yo Kagome, now that that's settled, you gonna stop ignoring me?"

I laughed a little and nodded. "Of course Inuyasha."

"One more thing, you still owe me from last time..."

I raised my eyebrow then sighed, realizing what he wanted. "Ugh fine! I guess you did save me..."

I slowly exposed my neck, allowing him to come over and suck my blood. Koga growled, yelling at him. "What the hell blood boy?! Stop drinking her blood!"

I laughed as Inuyasha wiped his mouth. Today was really eventful.
